It's been said that if you're incapable of doing harm, then you're not peaceful, you're harmless, and that's a very important distinction. (I really ought to reread Warbreaker one of these days.)

  2. Gavin met his eyes, and his hand stopped shaking. It was almost frightening, how easy it was to pass a shardblade through a person. Muscle and bone gave way like water. ”I told you,” Gavin whispered, “not to condescend to me.”
  3. The sword shook in Gavin’s hand. His eyes were dark and furious. “You really think that, don’t you? You’re—you’re stupid.”
  4. …it’s been so long I don’t know anymore somewhere between light brown and dirty blond
  5. Gavin pointed his sword at him. “Don’t! Don’t. Don’t you dare talk down to me!”
  6. well its usually pink or dirty blond right now it’s brown at one point it was purple i might make it red later this year
  7. Gavin’s breath was coming faster, his heart racing fast enough that it took barely a few moments for his shardblade to fall into his hand. “You aren’t listening!”

  12. Corin shook his head mutely. “I don’t know anymore than you do.”
  13. “Streets of the capital city,” Corin muttered, the ghost of a smile flitting across his face. “But we need to get us out first. Or at least you guys.”

      I haven’t read that one…should I?

  15. Corin stiffened, opening his mouth to deflect him. Don’t shut them out, Ariya whispered. “I have—friends,” Corin said quietly. “On the outside. Just a group of kids, really, but they said—they said they’d kill them. If I didn’t do what they wanted.” Corin shook his head. “That’s all I’ve got.”
  16. Corin Lashes himself up, then towards her. Once all the tributes were in the center, Corin retreated. “I can’t even save them,” he whispered. “Or my friends. They’ll all die for nothing.” It isn’t nothing. And you don’t know they’ll die. Corin didn’t answer.
  17. Corin shook his head numbly. “I could—get you all down to the central platform, if you want.”
  18. “It wasn’t me,” Corin repeated. “I’ll explain later. If there is a later.” He winced. “I’m…not so sure I can get us out.”
  19. Well yeah but he said just one thing
  20. It’s nothing malicious lol it’s just me not knowing how to people
  21. Corin slowly, slowly stepped out of the darkness. His left shoulder was a bloody mess, and something metallic glittered in the darkness behind him. Did I…do it? He’s gone. Really? No control, no…none of it? His spren, who he still couldn’t see, felt as if she were smiling. He’s gone, Corin. It’s time to protect these people. Something in Corin ached for that. He couldn’t just choose these strangers over his friends, his family…but they could hold their own, and he’d sworn to protect. Always to protect. Corin looked out over the tributes, shivering as he saw the look in their eyes. “I—” What could he possibly say to them? “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “That wasn’t me. We need to—to work together.”
