  1. It's not sponge bob, is it?
  2. I'll be on your crew!! What chaos are we causing?
  3. Ooh, that was good! I really liked the story part of it, the dream and the way the statue communicates, though some of the wording was a little confusing, but that's fine for a first draft. I like spiders
  4. My uncle suggested Mistborn to me in 4th grade. I read the first book, thoroughly enjoyed it, read the rest, enjoyed them slightly less, and forgot about him. And then in 7th grade I read Stormlight, realized how absolutely incredible Sando is and since then I've been steadily getting worse.
  5. I think they're watching S2, E8, Daddy Dropoff.
  6. ykyasfw you see a kid walking with a thick book, see half of the cover for less than a second and immediately realize it's Oathbringer, think very sincerely about going over to compliment him on his reading choices, and then decide people are too scary and let him walk away. ykyasfw you get yelled at in class for saying "storm it".
  7. Race #2 was today!!

First, I guess I never really mentioned how my last one went, probably because it couldn't have gotten much worse. I got heat exhaustion and had to pull off after my first lap, which was crazy disappointing. (I didn't have to pull off, but I was kinda throwing up and freezing cold even though it was almost a hundred degrees out, so it seemed like the best idea.)

So today, because I didn't finish the last race, I was starting pretty much dead last, in 60th. But the funny thing is, even though I hoped last time and it hurt so bad, I chose to hope again today. I chose to hope and believe, and today it didn't hurt, or lead to tears, or failure.

I passed 31 people and ended in 29th. It was a really fun race and it went well, and this also means I'm not completely out of the running for state. (The way they do state is complicated, basically you get points based on where you place and the top 25 for points go). It was epic. I passed 4 people in the last 20 feet to the finish line. I can't feel my legs, of course, but it was awesome.

Moral of the story I guess, it's always better to hope. It hurts more to expect you'll succeed. It hurts more to care. It takes more work. But it pays off. It's always better to live your life hoping. Always. Whether you're literally covered in blood or mentally tearing yourself into pieces, hope makes it okay. It doesn't fix the problems, it doesn't take away the work, but it makes it okay that you're in those situations, because you won't always be there.

<3 <3 <3 You're all wonderful, incredible people who deserve to live and feel joy.

  8. The seem normal, though more spores puff out of the surrounding flowers. A picture of Duuughhe shows in the sky above.
  9. There is no food in the back, but there is a single vial of pewter and an empty water bottle. Near the fountain, however, are several bushes, one of which is clearly recognizable as a raspberry bush.
  10. Ah, Calano. You write the most beautiful words into the most heartwrenching stories. <3 love you brother. Be safe, okay?
  11. I put stickers on my folder!! (It has my Rudolph script inside it, so it needs to be protected, and everyone knows that stickers are the best form of protection. They're even better than blankets!)

And here's the drink of eternal sleep one, because the text is tiny.

I also added even more stickers to my notebook (@Morningtide, it's the one from byu, I use it way too much). :D

No no I love blankets, but you must understand. If a monster is going to eat you, you can hide under a blanket and it’s fine.

but if you have a notebook covered in stickers, you can walk around and be just fine because monsters are scared of stickers.

  12. Duuughhe Nate tries to run, but without pewter is unable to throw her off. He quickly dies, and a cannon sounds, announcing his death. There is no reaction to the stone. @Ravenclawjedi42
  13. But a cool one!!
  14. Here's one! It's already in my own thread, but I wanted to put something here because it's a cool place and I write mediocre poems kind of a lot Lies:
  15. Duuughhe Nate sneezes, then stands up, confused. “Wha…?” Several small creatures, rabbits and the like, scamper away when they see the torchlight. There’s plenty of plants as well, some of which have berries and nuts. Other than the other entrances, though, there’s nothing interesting.
  16. Rue followed through the gateway, giving Nameless a curt nod and a quiet “thanks.”
  17. Duuughhe Nate looks up, panics, and tries to run and fight at the same time, which doesn't really work, and he ends up tripping.
  18. There's a group of girls on my bike team that call themselves the queens. You can figure out the rest, even though it sorta turned into a metaphor about life. Queen: It's kinda long and repetitive, and has seen exactly 0 editing, but I figured I'd let ya'll read it and then when I edit it you can help me :3
  19. After a short while, likely not too long, since the sun is still shining brightly, Bob wakes up to a horrible pain in his arm. Looking over, he can see that it's being crushed by a huge vine that's wrapped around it while he slept. Dug Nora falls asleep inside the cornucopia. Duuughhe Nate has found a fountain, and is currently drinking as much water as he can. Doug Nilkingar is setting up base in a small(ish) building near the center.
  20. Woah. Panda, that one was also epic. It's so hard to write things that can be read many ways like that, but you really pulled it off. Nice job!!
  21. There is no water anywhere in the building, though he does eventually find a rotted mattress on an even more rotted bed frame.
