Why is writing dialogue so easy and fun but the description so hard. I blasted through a conversation scene yesterday and right now I'm stuck on how to elegantly describe the characters tying their horses to the trees at their campΒ

okay, here's what I'm thinking:
1- they start hunting, the adult teaches them some stuff, but decides to separate them into groups so they can look for different things. The adult is with the one kid who won't be separated, and the youngest. The two older boys are together.
2-While the two older boys are looking for something to catch, the youngest runs up to them. He'd run off from his group to find them for a reason I'll come up with. Let's say he slipped off without the adult knowing.
3-The older boys understand the youngest is supposed to be with the adult, so they decide that they should all meet back up, but by that point the fog is really thick and in searching for him, they get lost
that's maybe less cliche? idk
