Stark black was the original plan, but you can't really get an extreme black with watercolors (the medium I'm using), I'm also worried there won't be a big enough contrast between the black and the darker leaves, I don't want anything to get lost in the background.

I've also considered white, but part of me want the really light parts of the head (which are already white) to contrast with the background so it stands out more. That being said, if I can't decide, I'll probably just leave it white lol
