I still remember, so, so long ago, when I finished WoK for the first time. What a nostalgic experience.
It was, like, over 3 whole hours ago.
-
And now the school year is over.
I think I'm happy.

I PASSED 1000 REP!
WHEN??
-
*taps on notebook*
I must say, I'm seeing a lot of SUs. That's alright, but... yes, a severe deficiency in RP.
*frowns*

I am so tired.
Was it all a misstep of mine, an error?
Was there anything I could have done to avoid it?
I can't rest, and I can't work.
So I'll just sit here, waiting...
For something. For what?
For something to change, somehow?
For my mental health to improve?
For it all to end?
There is at once too little time and an infinity of waiting.
The feeling of falling sideways, faster and faster, never slowing down, without control, without seeing ahead.
Knowing that you bound to hit something, a wall, at the end of the line.
And a deeper fear of never stopping or slowing down, never hitting that wall.
Those weren't really my words, but I felt like they applied.
A handhold, a moment of refuge, not slipping away but kicking down as a punishment for ever believing.
A moment of paralysis, waiting for something to burst though it never does.
It just retreats, giving no reason for why it ever came.
So impossibly difficult to last five days.
I can't.

A little passage from a game.
And while he thought it all very odd and wondered if this voice spoke to all people in their dreams, the truth was that of course this was not a dream. How could it be?
Was Stanley simply deceiving himself? Believing that if he's asleep he doesn't have to take responsibility for himself?
Stanley is as awake right now as he's ever been in his life.
...
He would prove it. He would prove that he was in control, that this was a dream.
So he closed his eyes gently, and he invited himself to wake up. He felt the cool weight of the blanket on his skin, the press of the mattress on his back,
the fresh air of a world outside this one. Let me wake up, he thought to himself.
I'm through with this dream, I wish it to be over. Let me go back to my job, let me continue pushing the buttons, please, it's all I want.
I want my apartment, and my wife, and my job. All I want is my life exactly the way it's always been.
My life is normal, I am normal. Everything will be fine.
I am okay.
Stanley began screaming. Please someone wake me up! My name is Stanley! I have a boss! I have an office! I am real!
Please just someone tell me I'm real! I must be real! I must be! Can anyone hear my voice?! Who am I? Who am I?!
And everything went black.
THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END IS NEVER THE END

Good night.
I'm alive, not well,
But who can really tell
Anymore?I'm panicking again. Woops.
Did you know that despite what you might presume from the name, black holes are some of the brightest objects in the universe? This is because matter directly around it or orbiting it, which forms what is known as its accretion disc, experiences very high forces and a lot of friction, which creates a very high amount of heat and light. The reason it is called a black hole, of course, is because not even light can exit the event horizon. Once you are within the horizon, time now points downwards to the singularity, even though that was once a direction in space. The event horizon and the outside world are no longer places, but moments in your past.
No escape. Only time moving you down, down, down. Until the end.

Isn't it great when you have a combination of physical and mental illness?
Anyway, I've been reading some more of WoK. That's fun.
PSA: If you get bitten by some unknown animal (as in, there's any chance at all of rabies), UNDER NO CONDITION should you wait until there are symptoms to go to the hospital. With rabies, if you get the shot before symptoms, you are pretty much guaranteed to survive. But once you have symptoms, you are pretty much guaranteed to die. So... stay safe out there.
Other random fact: Metal doesn't actually have a smell. Even if you think it does, the smell you receive happens because the metal is reacting with the oils in your skin. A material cannot be completely stable and unreactive if it has a smell, because otherwise there would be nothing for your nose to detect.
Final note of interest: Even though what we think of most often in terms of flowing charge is electricity in a wire, conventional current is arbitrarily determined by the flow of positive charge, so the direction of current in a wire is opposite from the direction in which the electrons move. This does highlight, however, that there are actually many other ways that charge can flow, such as with entire positive or negative ions (charged atoms/molecules) moving, or the shifting of gaps in charge (or "holes") across a surface.

Quote...does this mean metal doesn't have a taste either and we're all just imagining it?
Well, no one is imagining anything more than we imagine anything we perceive. But from what I can gather, metal taste comes from a related thing to do with saliva or something. Apparently the source of that taste still isn't certain?

I think I've started to give up.
Annoyingly, that doesn't make me not care about things.
Well, well,
Look who's inside again.
Went out to look for
A reason to hide again.

Sorry for the double SU, but WOW my other SU broke COMPLETELY. The comments are in a spoiler box somehow, and the whole page is in italics. Does anyone have any idea how this could be possible? The whole thing was just a large SU with a LOT of branching spoiler boxes. My best quest is some kind of character limit or something like that that just isn't warned when creating an SU.
