  1. “Too true,” Nayka breathed. “All too true.”
  2. Haly spent a minute trying to find the sword as she listened to Wynn. “I don’t know what that means, but it sounds cool.”
  3. The sword no longer sat in Haly’s hands. “Ha!” She exclaimed. “Now I have to Find it again.”
  4. “Only under very specific circumstances can living things change.” ”…problem being that I don’t know what those are.” Nayka raised her eyebrows as if to say, what? She is.
  5. The Belowplace (giant tree) “Thanks!” Haly grinned. “Now I just have to Lose it, and I should be able to Find it again…” stares at the sword, swings it around, examines it closely
  6. Nayka tilted her head. “Don’t worry, Whist is nice. You probably know that already, but she is.”
  7. “Just generic, please,” Haly requested eagerly.
  8. Okay, hi all! And happy Thanksgiving week! May there be pies with dragons on top upon all your tables. They’ll appreciate the tribute, I assure you.

That said, I figured now was a good time to catalogue some of my most recent slight weirdness.

    Kicking off…

    1) I petted a tiny table in Spanish class Thursday.

    2) I drew a rat pancake on the blackboard in Spanish on Thursday.

    3) I rejoiced over the dramaticness of a scene my friend and I roleplayed.

    4) I recruited another friend to help me make a credible legend about my school (the fact that I need to bring in an outside source should serve as a testament to exactly how many crazy things I say there).

    5) I decided to give my school friend a sword.

    Just a little one. ;)

6), my crowning glory and the only thing in here really worth a status update:

How much is that dragon in the window?

The one with the firey breath?

How much is that dragon in the window?

I need him to burn you to deeeeaaaaath!

As a side note. I also received 21 tiny metal swords in the mail on Thursday that are GORGEOUS, and today my tiny stone jade-looking dragon arrived in the mail, which I christened Egypt. She is smol but she is wonderful. This needs a pic.

    Now I have eight dragons!

  9. Nayka stared down at the oatmeal, pleasantly surprised. Whist really was a good person. And she believed Nayka could be too. Maybe. If she got really lucky. ”Ummmm. It’s something like, ‘my mind has a connection to the universe, like everyone else’s, but due to the unstable genetics of us Kukonandai, when our perceptions change, the world can change. Something about how my people embrace change or something, and the universe likes that, and it tries to copy us. At least that’s one theory. I don’t know how it works. It just does.” She snapped for Eej.
  10. “Who am I if I don’t steal?” Nayka whispered, wrapping her arms around herself. “And why are you so nice?”
  11. Well. Hmm. Um… Bane of Curses? Illustrious Truth? Brimstone? Stonebreak? Lightfinder? I dunno.
  12. A Stoney-green eastern dragon ribbons onto the room and touches down. “My name is Egypt,” she hisses in a harsh but melodious voice. “How may I be of assistance?”
  13. Well, no need to be scared. My respect for dragons is rarely transcended.”
  14. Kealie shrugged. “Maybe. But it feels good to be able to do something. Besides turn runes into cats.” @justice_magician Nayka’s breathing slowed. “I… I don’t understand,” she said in a small voice, sounding for all the world like the child she was.
  15. “If you can point me to China.”
  16. No, not the dragons. I would never so desecrate a dragon carcass. I meant the forest.
  17. Kealie waited until it finished dying, then walked forward and retrieved her morningknife blade. “Thanks,” she puffed.
  18. It was dramatic, with kazoos and even a party popper!
  19. A laugh of disbelief escaped Nayka’s lips. “Didn’t you hear that woman? I’ve stolen my way across this island. I’m practically rich. I stole the Aiesketor! You say I’m a nice person. I say ninety percent of that was acting.”
  20. “But…” Nayka blinked, still confised. “You know it was me.”
  21. I like burning forests when they have dragons. They’re yummy once the fire’s all done—very crunchy.
  22. Nayka turned to her. It felt weird not to try and mask her emotion. Her shock must have been written all over her face. “Why did you do that?” Kealie grabbed the blade between her thumb and index finger, the end of the slim chain between her palm and the rest of her fingers. Then she flicked it, letting go of the blade, calculating carefully. The chain uncoiled from her belt as the knife buried itself just behind the buck’s shoulder blade. It made some kind of painful noise and attempted to run away, but it couldn’t break away when it reached the end of the chain, for Kealie’s blade had buried deep. She sprinted after it, shortening the chain as she went. Once she got near, she chucked a second knife at it, but the knife tilted and bounced off of its pelt. She’d compensated for a chain when this knife had no tether. She crouched, hands on her knees, trying to catch her breath and hoping Vance would provide some backup.
  23. Nayka blinked. She had not expected this. Didn’t Whist see who she was? Of course she did. But then why… why, exactly? What was going on? She clutched the bundle tighter. Haen saw through everything. She had a special talent for that. But the expression on Nayka’s face was so priceless, and seeing somebody take responsibility for the little menace… this might actually help her. Nayka, that is. ”All right, then,” Haen agreed amiably. “If you’ll just give me the Aiesketor, I’ll call off my fellow officers and be on my way.” She stepped forward to take the package. Nayka couldn’t figure this out. What was Whist thinking? Didn’t she know what Nayka was? Yes, of course she did. Then what was going on? She didn’t want to relinquish the Aiesketor, but she didn’t see another choice, really. Not if she wanted to find out what Whist was doing. So she handed Haen the bundle. Haen peeked through it, smiled, and within five minutes, every officer who had been in the vicinity was at least a mile away. And Nayka waited for whatever was coming next.
  24. Root root is yummy. Cuz it’s wooden and covered in bugs and tastes like cardboard and dirt, but less processed.
