    She sighed. “Of course you don’t. Well, do you know of another way to fix Shoe?”

    “That’s what I’m saying,” Beosta insisted. “Well? Bacon? Where’s Tenth? Or can you just make a dialyzer out of thin air?” @xinoehp512

    Beosta scowled. “We can have a party once we fix Shoe. Where’s Tenth? We need the dialyzer or whatever it was called.”

    This is the short story I wrote in three hours today because I didn’t do it for the whole week it was assigned. … Be nice. There aren’t any italics in this one, so you’ll have to pretend because I do NOT feel like going back and adding italics.

    Beosta looked at Cricket, bemused. “We should probably just leave now. We can have a party in a hollow tree or something.”

    Beosta grinned. “Like how? Magic presents?”

    "Of course not," Beosta agreed.

    Beosta smiled. "Perfect! Lead on."

    She squeezed him and then let him go. "So what should we do now? There's got to be something out there. Where do you think Cricket went?"

    "I'm sure you do for some reason," she dismissed, and gave him a hug.

    "Nah, it's okay. You need a hug, right?"

    "She, uh... she asked if we're together," Beosta lied. "I don't get what this fascination with it is."

    Beosta shrugged. "She asked how we know each other." She felt a little color rising to her face.

    Why was everyone so mean? Beosta walked over to Shoe. "Sorry about that. What's up?"

    Beosta lifted her chin. “Maybe I will.”
