"Why not?" She laughed a little, "Just messing with you- sure."

"Anytime. Well, maybe not anytime. But for a time." She grinned. "And thank you, too. I suppose I must."

"I probably did, actually." She looked around. "I'm Jane. Jane Cora Rae. I come from the capitol. What about you?"

"Are you okay?"

"Perhaps. Well, here it goes," she put down two cards: a queen of spades and a king of diamonds.

"Alright, come on." She took off eastward, but her ankle still dragged along in a limp.

"Sounds good to me," she laughed lightly. "Should we keep going?" "Oh. Thanks?" She closed up the pack again and swung it back over her shoulders.

"Isn't that interesting." She paused, and swung her pack down. Unbuttoning the straps, she looked inside.

She glanced at him from different angles, a small smile on her face. "Poker face, much?"

"I apologize," she said, taking back the glass and putting it on the side table nearby. "Draw a card," she said, pulling one of her own from the deck.

"Oh please, the bottle was newly opened. I own no poison nor misintent."

"That depends. Are you?" She grinned.

"In case Cedric awakes. He wouldn't want to be left out of the fun."

Jane Cora stood in shock, staring at the creature retreating back. She handed him one of her knives. "Well that happened."

"Damn it." Jane muttered, holding out the knife. "Let's go. Now." "Might be my bad." Jane looked towards the horses and then back at the boy. Quickly, after little hesitation, she slashed at the creature.

Jane was too tired to thank him, and too suspicious to say anything more. She took his hand and jumped to her feet, instantly regretting the weight she put on her ankle. Grabbing everything she had initially taken, she shoved it into her pack and ran, holding the boy's hand while gritting her teeth to ignore the pain in her ankle. She stumbled into the forest.

She screams then covers her mouth. She struggles away, clawing at the black tentacle. Her ankle shoots out in pain, but she uses the dagger to try and cut at the gooey oozing substance pulling her. As she does so, her knife accidentally slips into her skin, and a small gash spills blood on the arena. Still, she uses the force she has to try and pull herself away.

super late but cobra lily just kidding out of the standard flower arrangements, i actually like any flowers because living in a city it's super hard to see them bloom naturally

Jane Cora Rae sprints and grabs the nearest pack to her. She scurries around trying to find throwing knives, moving closer to the forest as she does so. She picks up an antidote and a few rations of food, but some of the food drops as she runs around, stressed to hold what she can.

She set out two cards in front of him, and five face up in the middle. Then she put in two silver coins. "Alright, put in your ante." She handed him a glass of champagne. "I can't drink, I'm afraid."
