  1. Quest slowly pulled himself off the road. He stood up slowly, legs still shaking and ears ringing. He blinked. Quest wobbled forward until he was standing on the edge of the crater in the middle of the road. The jagged hole went straight down, so far Quest couldn't see where it ended. Something seemed to be glowing, with a strange red light in the hole. So something really had fell from the sky. "Oh, well," Quest said, "that seems improbable." @Ookla the Silver @Ookla the Reborn
  2. Well, you see the thing is I am a terribly picky eater. (Also hi, this is from way back when!) When I have food, I religiously keep them from touching. Mixing foods isn't something I do, at least nothing weird. I guess I have had ice cream and hot sauce, which I disliked, but that's probably the weirdest combination.
  3. Back when I was on the shard a year or so ago, I thought I didn't have a 1000th(ish) post thing. I was wrong! It's called being back.

I don't plan on doing much besides RPGs but, um, yeah. It's cool to be back. Hi again guys

  4. Miyako grabbed a bowl and threw it at Hyron. "Pasta. Sauce." Miyako pointed, while miming dumping copious amounts of one onto the other. "Eat. I'll tell ya, best food in every sea I've sailed so far. Better then whatever leafy dross you're raised on." Miyako picked up her bowl of pasta, and started shoveling it into her mouth. So, ya all got a plan for what we're gonna do, or we just going keep getting thrown 'round by the princess? She said mentally to Hyron and Yerik, trying to focus as the strange voice had taught her. @Ookla the Reborn @Ookla The Storyteller @Ookla the Abstract @Channelknight Fadran @The Halcyon Girl
  5. HAPPY (slightly early) BIRTHDAY RANRYU!

  6. Miyako gave a shrug as she began to shovel a mound of pasta onto her plate. "Dunno. You can," Miyako wriggled her fingers mystically," talk to her if ya want." "Yes! Yes, let's go," Quest took a deep breath, "do that."
  7. Dave looked curiously at Glenda, his voice becoming more formal. "Hello Higher Being. If I do not know you it is because parts of me are Sealed away. I am Arbiter and pleased to meet someone else on this mortal plane."
  8. COMING. Miyako ran. Two minutes later Miyako slid into the kitchen. WHERE'S THE SAUCE?! (Not using telepathy, just loud.) Quest stood up, leaning on his staff. "Thank you for, um, letting me use the aether stone Vance. I'm glad Kealie is probably healed and silently existing." Quest held out the aether stone staff towards Vance.
  9. Miyako sat placidly on her bed, mediating as she brushed out her hair. When a loud voice screamed in her head she flailed about, both trying to reach for her sword and jump to her feet. She ended up on the floor brandishing her comb very threateningly. Grumbling, she responded upon realizing what had happened. THIS HAD BETTER BE SAUCE OR SOME OTHER SIMILARY IMPORTANT THING OR I'M GONNA STAB YOU.
  10. Quick pro tip (can I still call it a pro tip if I'm only mildly good?) Quick mediocre tip that I'm enforcing upon myself: I'm ok at writing and I know the only way to get better is it do it. So I'm writing a book and even though I have had 3+ better book ideas and I am fumbling through every scene I know the best way to get better is just to do the thing. And once I finish the first book the second one will in theory be better. Sorry, I don't know if that helps. That is just something I've been thinking about. As for the actual prompt: Stories, writing crap. I like dumping ideas onto a page and question what the heck I am doing. Music. Whenever I can care enough to just go fiddle around on a piano and play cool songs I always love it. I'm pretty good but I'm not good enough to be *struggles* good good, so I don't really write songs or play as much as I probably should even though I quite enjoy it. I wish I had time. Probably other stuff. Other weird clever answers that only vaguely tie into the prompt.
  11. Miyako groaned. I don't know. That's more then no minutes. Speaking aloud, Miyako continued: "Guess I'm gonna go do stuff. Get me when the sauce is done."
  12. Miyako grinned back at Hyron. Don't see how I could be much louder then you. But when did you two learn to scream in my head?
  13. Quest dropped onto the ground, lying on his back while breathing heavily. He pumped a fist in the air while giving an halfhearted cheer. Miyako, who was totally oblivious to the prior conversation, paused at the doorway. She spun around, and squinted at Hyron. Hyron?!
  14. Quest began to draw into his life energy, letting the aether's magic bleed into his and empowering his spell. He gave Kealie a hesitant grin before beginning to, well attempting to, to heal her leg. Quest let his magic slid into Kealie's leg and began to feel around the broken bone. What was so hard about this compared to normal healing is that he had to do this manually. Quest's magic prompted Kealie's body to began to knit the bone back to together, and the he took control. Carefully infusing the bone with the aether's power Quest guided each layer of the bone to fuse back together. Quest tapped further into the aether stone, as he pulled together the last layer of bone. Hopefully he had healed it cleanly. If he had left cracks or built the structure of the bone incorrectly then it would be much more likely to break in the future, maybe even shatter. The staff tumbled from his fingers as Quest sat back, wiping a faint sheen of sweat from his forehead. "I, um, sorry Kealie. I hear that is supposed to hurt. Hope I healed it back ok." @The Halcyon Girl
  15. Miyako bit into an apple, shrugging. "I dunno. Probably gonna go wait while I comb my hair or clean my sword or something." Miyako said as she began drift towards the door.
  16. Quest carefully cradled the staff, leaving his own on the ground behind. Quest walked up to Kealie, kneeling down by her broken leg(s). He pushed the hair out of his eyes and began to gather life energy in his palm. He glanced up at Kealie, letting out a short chuckle. "I, ah, hope this goes well." Miyako glared at the pasta while called back to Hyron. "Guess I'll have an apple. This pasta isn't," Miyako gave a thoroughly exaggerated sigh, "it isn't ready."
