The small child, seeming to be about six, looked inquisitively at Rayvyn. "What do you mean, your daggers aren't food? I can eat them, you can eat them, everyone can eat them!" The six-year old got a scheming look in her eyes. "I'll tell you what. I'll tell you my name... if you let me eat one of those fancy daggers of yours."

"That Wayne certainly has a heart of gold."

The small child looked at the cut on her arm. "Hmm. Iron, some carbon... that's a nice alloy of steel you've got there. And hmm... molybdenum? Wow, you must be eating really well." She looked at Rayvyn. "Why so defensive? It's just food, and I haven't eaten in ages. I tried getting food from the street vendors, but the only thing they had was something called 'Chouta.' I mean, seriously, who eat's that junk? It doesn't even have any ore in it at all!"

"I really enjoy the punch, Inquisitor Marsh. Let me ask you, is it spiked?"
-
"Yup, that sounds kinda like a flashback," said Il'anque. "I assume you don't want to talk about it?"

"Oh no! The Survivor of Hathsin and his small mistborn apprentice are skaa-tacking Kredik Shaw!"

Hmm. I guess I'll do a different technique then. Armor Piercing: When Luit hits an enemy with a Ranged Attack, she can expend additional Power. If she does so, the enemy gets a penalty to their defense (and maybe speed so that this isn't just a slight discount) roll based on the amount of power Luit spent. This is not a permanent debuff and only applies to the attack that triggered it. (I got this idea from minifig wargames like Warhammer 40k and Conquest. Sorry that it's not very anime.)

No, I mean, like, what kind of character concepts/magic systems/tech level are/is allowed and such. -
Welcome, Raden! I'd recommend asking some moderators about the typo thing.

What do I need to know to make a character? -
Il'anque looked at Avi and took a bite of some fruit. "Was that a flashback? That felt like you were having a flashback. I don't get those very often. How was it?"

Terry Pratchet Starting Point
NerdyAarakocra replied to Philomath's topic in Entertainment Discussion
I actually started with The Color of Magic. I found it very fun. It's a light read that I found similar to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, if you've ever read that. It's not super serious, and the plot jumps around a lot. It is quite funny, though. I enjoy his early works, like The Carpet People, although that might not be the best starting point. It's good subtle political commentary very brash political commentary, but his later works have more polish. -
"Really? What sort of goals?"

Il'anque sat down and brought out some of the food that she had packed. "If we survive tonight, what's the first thing that you're going to do when you get your Scythe?" @Frustration

Sei looked out at the house changing around her. It was incredible. She could understand how the house seemed alive. She did not want to see the house when it was trying to kill this group. "Forgive me if someone has asked this already, but are there any patterns to the house's changes, other than the times when they occur?" @ZincAboutIt
