I'm curious
Why do so many people like football?
I don't get the appeal, but I find myself wanting to know
-
how'r'ya
I still have lots of stuff going on and I'm still very all over the place, but I'm doing better today so I'm hoping that'll last. I'm trying to be positive about the stuff that scares me, at least, and I think it's helping.
I did actually order a planner today to help me get my life back together, so here's to that!
(Song recommend because cellist does that and I want to be cool too: A Town with an Ocean View, by Joe Hisaishi.)
I can't wait until spring and the 6-month-long-November is over, the color grey should be illegal.

I have a YT channel now
(The cheeseman)
I'll be posting the progress of my current NG+ Dark Souls 1 (@SpiritOfWrath) playthrough, and my SL1 run, once I start it. After that, I might switch to another game. I've got like 30 in my Steam library.

The idea of Mars colonies scares me.
A whole new planet with people on it, bridging a gap previously impossible. Amazing! Imagine the politics! Imagine the technology! Imagine how far we’ll go from here!
Imagine… anything.
Because, suddenly, nothing’s out of reach.
Humanity as a species would grow to immense proportions, with the possibility of reaching ever farther out into the universe.
Human as an organism is suddenly so much smaller. A single person thinking beautiful thoughts is swallowed up in a singular species accomplishing beautiful things. The stars would no longer be the realm of dreamers like me. Instead, they’d be given over to the thinkers like Glass. Anywhere you look is suddenly just real estate in a country without cars.
Someday, when I’m old and dying, maybe I’ll look out at the sky and miss the feeling of togetherness, bigness, cohesion that was… this. We’re all trapped on a planet, us tiny motes of dust. We’re all so insignificant, but we’re insignificant together. We band against the universe and her beautiful emptiness. What happens when we lose that?
Well, Earth becomes a tiny mother island, a control center, perhaps. Politics will change. Maybe we’ll have some tussles over independence. Maybe we’ll spread so far and discover so many things and become a bazaar of bizarre cultures to marvel over.
And a single man?
Well…
Every Septimus Warren Smith shrinks smaller than a dust mite.
Every Caden Bosch, every Donald Zinkoff, every ME— we become nothing. Obsolete.
Who cares about thoughts? Who cares about pretty ideas or words on a page speculating the meaning of life when life itself is expanding at a fantastical rate?
Who cares about us when there’s no space to?
Nobody will want to read Vey’s silly talk about tasting stars. Nobody will be enthralled by Sheen’s idea of the Framework. Nobody will have TIME for us anymore— they’re busy synthesizing a chemical that will enable soil to be magically good for crop-growing.
There is so much magic in science, and so much beauty in it. But I was not born to see the magic humanity creates.
What happens to me when that’s all there is?
im sorry this is prolly really badly written but I was getting ready for bed and I needed to write this for some reason, so anyway uh Dont judge me please

Can someone please give me a few reasons why shard machine guns and shard tanks can’t feasibly exist?
My friends don’t believe me

WHAT is the MATTER with this DUMB SCHOOL?
I forgot my ID (which yeah is dumb but I don’t do it all the time) and the lil desk where I get a temporary is closed UNTIL AFTER CLASS STARTS?
And I have one guy telling me I can go get one now cuz she’s back and then when I ask, she points to the “closed” sign and angrily asks to nobody while I walk away to wait “who said I was back?” all exasperated. I get that you prolly deal with this all the time, but that doesn’t mean you have to be RUDE about it. Ignorant students mean
students
who
don’t
forget
their
IDs
. It’s a GOOD THING I don’t know every in and out of the freaking system. You should be SCUDDING GLAD you don’t have to deal with me every day. But no. You’re mad at my ignorance.
*sigh*
Sorry, I know you’ve prolly had a rough day, and idk why you needed to close up and stuff. It’s just deeply frustrating to me that the most simple things are so difficult.

Okay
Don't get too excited
But if I were to buy Outer Wilds . . .
How addicting would you say it is?
(also, is it worth it to get the dlc?
)

Goin to take 4 tests over the next 48 hours. They decide if I remain a PhD student or not.
I do get a retake if I fail but it is only one retake and I’d rather not do that. Wish me luck!
