  1. Ah, these were the good old days. Despite my sometimes incorrect characterization by an algorithm that knows nothing about me. Amusing anyway.
  2. Meanwhile, the sandwich is now in Paris.
  3. But...

    Spoiler

    Have you considered...

    Spoiler

That all families technically start as found families...?

    We love overcomplicated trope analysis.

      . . .

all this troper has to say is:

      W H A T .

  4. Yup! Sorry, I saw this and then forgot.
  5. @Experience
  6. Ma'tani blinked. That was...weird. Oh well. Ma'tani dashed away from Roy and towards the third witch-hunter. With a deft stroke, she split the wooden club in half, then rammed him in the back of the head with her sword's pommel to knock him out.
  7. ...What brought this on?
  8. Hey, I remember you from the dragon name thread!
  9. I'm trying to decide who I want my GM to take a particular interest in, and maybe Sharlin will be one of those people...
  10. ...Except now she's going to die probably.
  11. GASP Ooh, I like this. Though it's sad that she got entangled in The Dystopia when she could have gone and lived in the Free States...Tinker and his family probably would have given her that option... You're approved!
  12. Looks good! The effects of the Aviar would be essentially the same as A-Pewter; enhancing physical streingth, agility, balance, etc., without physically changing the structure of the body like F-Pewter does. The Aviar would grant it during times of stress, or, depending on how close your bond with it gets, whenever you ask. (Modern technology does exist in this world, so there are modern firearms. Don't know how many of those will be in the arena, though.)
  13. Ma'tani, completely ignorant of the mob that was surrounding Robert, stared at Nelan's corpse for a moment. Then she tightened her grip on her sword and raised it, meeting the eyes of the largest of the remaining witch-hunters. This isn't going to help their image of me...but who cares anymore? She waited to see what they would do. @BlueWildRye @Through The Living Glass @RoyalBeeMage
  14. Ma'tani dodged out of the way, but Nelan's sword grazed her leg. She hissed in pain. Suddenly, a crack sounded, and Nelan's head snapped back. The scent of blackpowder filled the air. Ma'tani stumbled back, blood soaking the leg of her trousers. Was that...?
  15. Ma'tani dodged the lunge, moving behind Nelan. She spun, slashing through his ankle in a fluid motion.
  16. "...You're a real idiot, aren't you?" Without warning, Ma'tani ducked towards Nelan and under his sword. In a swift motion, she drew her own blade, slashing towards his sword arm. The Shenai weapon gleamed a brilliant silver, tinged orange by the flames. The double-edged blade was much thinner than Nelan's broadsword, but still sturdy. Shenai characters were carved into the flat of the blade on one side. The sword had almost no crossguard, but Ma'tani wielded it with a familiarity that showed she wasn't scared of injury. She knew how to use it. She moved with a fluid grace.
