Sanderson "Would you Rather"
The Bookwyrm replied to KnightRadiant's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Uh.......Adolin die. It's not that I want him to die, I just think in the end that's the better option. But that was a hard one... Would you rather be stuck on somewhere random on Roshar during a desolation, or somewhere random on Scadrial during the reign of the Lord Ruler?- 954 replies

Welcome to the Shard! You have definitely come to the right place if you want to discuss about...anything Brandon Sanderson related, really. I can assure you that all of the people here are as obsessed with Brandon Sanderson's books as you are. It's kind of a requirement.

The Longest Thread (Misadventures)
The Bookwyrm replied to ElephantEarwax's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Bookwyrm took Crazy Bob's Journal and hid it in the Fourth Dimension. Found the Kitten was guarding it. The journal had said that it was only volume one of ten, and once you had all ten journals, the secrets of the Thread would be revealed. Bookwyrm went on a quest to find the other nine journals.- 111830 replies

Easter Eggs in Alcatraz?
The Bookwyrm replied to Josh L.'s topic in Alcatraz Versus the Evil Librarians
To add on to the "Wasing not of wasing is" reference: Quentin's talent is to speak gibberish. In Mistborn, Spook, Kelsier, and Ham have a conversation in Eastern Street Slang, partially to annoy Breeze. Breeze makes some comment to Dockson about how they've all gone insane, and then Dockson, with a perfectly straight face, says, "Wasing not of wasing is." As everyone laughs at Breeze's incredulous face, Spook says that what Dockson said didn't really mean anything. So Quentin wasn't just speaking gibberish. He was speaking gibberish in gibberish. -
Here's the ultimate guide to writing the last book in your trilogy! Excuse me, but is that an Honorblade I see you holding?

"So, I bought you six more planets, plus the fourteen you already had. Do you want any more?" (Ironically, I didn't know that "twenty is plenty" was a saying. My mind just fell on it a few minutes ago and I decided to put it here.) "That sounds really interesting, but I'm busy trying to survive falling the wrong way right now, if you don't mind."

"I'm in a conundrum where two people have asked me to marry them, and they both gave me a very long list of very valid reasons why I should marry them. I want to marry one of them, but I'm torn." "Twenty is plenty."

Bookwyrm felt bad for not-evil Spook, and all the other Spooks stuck in Cheese and Cotton Candy Land, so he summoned his Narrationblade and used it to open a portal for them to come through.- 111830 replies

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
"Oh, I forgot about Angreals," Bookwyrm said. "I really need to get around to re-attempting my read of Wheel of Time," he continued. "I only got to book eight last time." He looked at Nameless. "Also, who's Honorblade is that?" -

Bookwyrm paused. "I didn't know that. But it's not too surprising; the unexpected is expected here." -
I think it's safe to assume that each of the ten whatevers has some kind of connection. Each Order of Knights Radiant has a Herald patron, and the oaths of each order somewhat correspond to the personalities and values of that Herald. Maybe each of the Ten Fools is like...the opposite of what the Herald stands for, or something. What someone looks like if they aren't doing what the Herald represents. The Ten Essences correspond with the Heralds and the Orders, as do the Polestones, as shown in the chart at the back of the Ars Arcanum. The Ten Surges fit a little bit less well into the connection, considering how each order has two and shares one with each of its neighbors... I'm pretty sure the Ten Deaths probably also fit into this. Something that opposes each of the Essences, Radiants, or Heralds, maybe? With the Midnight Essence being the opposite of the Lightweavers? I'm not sure, this is just something that I always thought. Maybe the Ten Pancakes fit the pattern, as well.

Sorry these answers are late. I am inexperienced in many types of music, including jazz. I haven't listened to enough to have an opinion. I love music, though. My favorite songs are basically just a collection of random movie and video game scores. (Anything by Hans Zimmer is great, and the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise also has good music.) Yes. I could go on a long winded explanation about one of these experiences, but I'm on my phone right now, and typing on a phone is storming annoying.

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
"You don't have one yet?" Bookwyrm asked, summoning his. "I'm sure you could find one around here somewhere...or a spren, willing to bond..." Bookwyrm turned to Wizard. "Are there Shardblades here?" he asked.
