  1. Hard magic.... Ooh! This is an idea, feel free to shoot it down. There are three types of Starmages: Solar, Lunar, and Stellar. They each draw their strength from different sources: Solmages from the Sun (or suns, or nearby stars) Lunamages from the moon (or planet, or any reflected starlight on a celestial body) and Stellamages from distant stars (or light from any deep space objects.) I was going to use this for a book, but it's kind of becoming obsolete, so...we can use it here. If people want. This could fit a high fantasy or sci-fi/high fantasy setting. What do starmages do? Uh....let me get back to you on that. Or just decide for yourself.
  2. I can probably do that...though, have you asked Wizard? He might be a better option.
  3. Astrym Calendar: 1070 AA World Calendar: 0021 HY Council of New Astrym Our war against Astrolog is going well. However, we do not wish to risk the lives of the civilians of New Astrym. Even as we near victory in the conflict, Astrolog shows signs that it may have something planned. We cannot risk our culture, even if it means giving up our homeland. So, we are staging an evacuation. Using our airships, of which we have complete control over, we are going to evacuate the civilians to a frozen island north of Realmingsburg. We will wait and bide our time there before continuing the war against Astrolog. Fearing the safety of its citizens, New Astrym evacuates its entire kingdom from its homeland. Using their superior airships, they quickly and efficiently move all the civilians, then all of their military, off of their home island, leaving Astrolog to conquer it. They move to a frozen island in the north. Because they have taken all of Astrolog's airships, the leaders of New Astyrm know they will be safe; Astrolog cannot chase them. Once the evacuation is complete, Astrym ends the war with Astrolog and begins exploring the frozen island that is their new home, hoping to create a secure and safe place for them to live and continue their research.
  4. ...Fair. But it should be simple hard magic. As for worldbuilding ideas... Uh... I'm trying to think of one that I haven't already set aside for one personally written story or another. (Hey, @InfiniteInsanity, do you want to join this chaos?)
  5. Bookwyrm walked to his room and changed into an ornate blue set of robes, embroidered with silver and gold. He replaced all of his equipment into his infinite pouch, which re-formed into a fancy leather satchel that he slung across his shoulder. Bookwyrm briefly channeled powerful magic into a pair of simple rings of an unidentifiable metal. Then he placed them in the satchel. Uh, @CalanoCorvus? Bookwyrm sent telepathically. I don't think you or Emma had anything in mind for wedding rings. With your permission, I'd like to provide some. If that's okay.
  6. If this is an introductory RP for a lot of people, we should probably keep the worldbuilding fairly simple, and the magic system soft. Easy to use and maneuver in, easy to understand.
  7. Don't forget to bold your text! Posts are only officially canon if you bold them. It was very tasty.
  8. The universe was pleased that someone recognized it's actions.
  9. How should I know?
  10. Bookwyrm sensed a plot building because named characters were appearing. The ice cream was pineapple flavored.
  11. Gets a Bridge Four uniform. Inserts the Fourth Bridge.
  12. Evokes imagery of an old and experienced and mysterious traveler. Definitely someone to get to know. 10/10.
  13. This consultant was Butt Venture, who was unfortunately distracted because he was on a phone call with his sister, Esmerelda.
  14. "Most of the information in it can easily be added to the Library. There is some more...exclusive information that I should probably keep to myself. But the rest is no problem." Bookwyrm turned to Bip. "I've nicknamed him Bip, but maybe he deserves a more formal name than that." Bookwyrm walked over and stroked the plume of feathers on top of Bip's head. "I've formed bonds with many creatures and beings in my travels. Most of them are dragons. We'll be happy to have Bip join us." "That's fair," Bookwyrm said. "It is interesting. If sometimes dangerous."
  15. And so the universe was thrown into war again as the Ghanderflaffles and the ?izards clashed. This was all according to Eof's master plan.
  16. Suddenly, the ?izards returned to wage war on the universe.
  17. I'm just going to pop in and say that I recently bought Hollow Knight. I've beaten the False Knight and am currently stuck in the maze that is The Greenpath.
  18. Indeed, it was far more enjoyable than silver happiness. Especially because silver was Allomantically inert.
  19. Bookwyrm recounts the tale to Calano, first detailing the peaceful dimension, then the fortress and how the world had began to storm and shift, then the adventures in the archive. "I'm assuming the influence from the Prison dimension caused a sudden shift in the smaller one," Bookwyrm said. "I don't know what happened after I left." Bookwyrm turned to Bip. "A Saurian, huh? I haven't heard of them. He's an interesting creature, for sure." "Haly, stating out of nowhere that you can be a windchime isn't going to help her be any less confused..." Bookwyrm trailed off when he saw the newcomer. His eyes widened. Then he smiled. "I didn't expect to see you here."
