Lyras's eyes widened. Gravity. There were records of ancient Starmages who had learned spells that could control the very fabric of the universe, and thus, gravity. The possibility had always fascinated Lyras. "How...how are you doing that?" he asked, not caring if he interrupted the man. He didn't seem to be making any sound anyway.

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Bookwyrm sensed tremors along the edges of the Clinic's dimension. Beings leaving, and beings entering. Or at least communicating through the Clinic's medium. Something's up... he thought. But we'll investigate that later. Bookwyrm took out his tome and began flipping through his copy of the Archive. Thaidakar should be researching this too. Maybe he'll have something to talk about... -

To be honest, I don't like the world shape; I'd prefer a normal spherical world for simplicity. But if everyone else wants a tetrahedron, then I'll go along with it. I do like the idea of a Stellari pilgrimage. It fits what I had in mind for their race. Lyras, my character, just came a little early.

Insanity Clinic For The Moderately Brandofandonitis Afflicted
The Bookwyrm replied to Going_North_cal's topic in Roleplaying
Bookwyrm watched the festivities from a slight distance, smiling. For a moment, there was peace. But his mind was drawn suddenly to the Prison, and the Kaos contained within it. An entire universe of violent change and destruction. This can't last....not fully. Bookwyrm looked at Calano and Emma. They have a measure of peace now, in their marriage. Whatever happens, they can be content. They've passed their trial. I just hope that they can use that in the coming conflict.... -

Lyras raised an extremely skeptical eyebrow. "Which moon? And how would you even get there in the first place?" Lyras knew that the moons had surfaces; he'd it through telescopes at the Academy back home. They clearly had solid surfaces with distinct features. Calia, Celestia, and Volia were worlds with their own terrain and mysteries. But they were also incredibly distant, if the Stellari astronomer's calculations were correct. And even then, how would you reach them? Any method not involving magic was doomed to fail utterly, and Lyras knew of no spell or ability in any of the various Magics of Tetrapela that would allow anyone to do anything like going to the moons.

Lyras blinked. While the original purpose of his journey was to find his sister, the Triluminescence had been a factor in his reasoning. All of the Stellari race had a fascination with celestial objects, some (like Lyras) more than others, and their culture back on Asteri was based on that. The Triluminescence was something of great fascination to the Stellari, and so these docks would probably see a lot more Stellari travelers in the coming weeks. But the Triluminescence wasn't for almost two more months. "...I suppose you could say that," Lyras finally said. "What do you mean by 'see it up close'?"
