    Yeah, its a lot. Were you able to back the kickstarter in time? I would be disappointed if I were in your situation and didn't.

    He says they did what they must, which implies he is not pleased, yet accepts it begrudgingly We have an official copy from Sanderson's website, which we can assume is taken directly from his draft and therefore the formatting is accurate. The italicization is used to denote ethereal, deific speakers anyways.

    It was sent out late on the newsletter and is also now on his site. We know the storm father is not perfect, and by that point Tanavast was dead or basically dead and his definition of honor was holding to promises and nothing else, contrary to the idea of honor I think most of us hold. Potentially by the time the stormfather appears to Dalinar, he is freed from Dying/dead Tanavast's influence.

    Welcome. My advice, you just got to force them to read Mistborn all the way through. It is my opinion that it is the best book to start someone with.

    The flashbacks are all Kaladin POV fyi, and so you should be able to pick them out as not in the present.

    Have your parents read it? If not, you could suggest they do, just be careful doing it. Maybe there should be an edited version so that those that don't want to deal with that stuff. In fact, I bet someone could go onto Brandon's website and take the online version, edit it, and share it. Might want permission first though.

    I always thought they weren't disengaged, but that the Seconds had basically locked them away and blocked their engagement.

    This was not something that I picked up on but a lot of people noticed, and I think Brandon said corrupted investiture was going to be something in multiple systems in the Cosmere, kind of like lightweaving.

    It appears Hallendren defeated the Idris invasion. I can't believe no-one else made that connection.
