    Valence raised an eyebrow. "I wish to help you, but I cannot do that without knowledge. You will only get worse from here, and in the eyes of the law you can be arrested for any action committed by your body." He shifted his gaze momentarily to the Guard with a spear in his throat. "As for you, you seem to be at least partially Fleshbound, but you need to stop attacking, otherwise we will never hear your side of the story."

    Balance was getting ready to remove the hinges from the door when it opened, revealing a man with yellow slitted eyes like a snake. At least, that was all he saw with his normal eye. With his framesight, he saw six strange shapes in the man's body, some sort of spikes. A faint twisting was emanating from one of the spikes, twisting the lines of the man. Balance did not know what to make of it. Balance looked around, wary. He saw nothing that would indicate an ambush, so he should be relatively safe. "I would like to come in, changed one. I have some questions to ask you." @Sorana

    The Quarkbeast appears momentarily, crunches up a few of the scattered cookies thoughtfully, and vanishes.

    "And he has paid a price for that," Valence replied with a raised eyebrow. He noticed the man's multicolored irises. OverGrafted he thought. "He is nearly dead, as are you, oh disparate one. Why did you attack?"

    Valence was back and to the side of the main group as they arrived at the alley the dog was leading them to, an arrow nocked but bow still relaxed. It was chaos. Though there only seemed to be four people fighting, there was a dead body laying at the far end of the alley. Though the light was dim, it appeared to be wearing a Guard uniform, as did two of the fighters. The Guard nearest to Valence had bestial features akin to a dog, and was fighting a lightning-fast young woman. Captain Atadin stabbed at her back, but she twisted out of the way just in time. The Wildbound Guard attacked her again. The further Guard was bleeding heavily, yet somehow still standing and fighting his erratic opponent. They collapsed into a pile, with the erratic fighter's spear sticking out of the Guard's neck. Valence took this all in in an instant, and sighed softly. Carefully moving along the outside of the group, he strode over to the second Guard. "I think that is quite enough from both of you," he said in a voice that cut through the madness of fighting. "Why are you fighting? And don't bother continuing, both of you will experience true death very soon if you do." @The Known Novel, @The Aspiring Archivist
