  1. "Interesting," Valence murmured quietly. This man was an experienced liar, it seemed. Though, aside from the professed preference to meeting new recruits personally, he did not believe he was lying. "I am what your people call Fleshbound. Have been for a while now. It was tradition among my people to bind in some way any who had twinned eyes, two-color eyes. My name is Valence Skywinder." @The Known Novel
  2. To your horror, you discover that he does not exist in any universe accessible to the sandwich. While you are reeling from this discovery, the shadows snatch the sandwich from you.
  3. Do you know of a Sanderson crossover? we have located the soul turnovers.
  4. Somewhat less poplar were the trees. They were Aspens.
  5. When you start comparing plot armor and shardplate.
  6. That's fine, Fadran. As for you, Known, the four that are tagged previously accepted a quest from the Skiens to retrieve a chalice from Stormtop Castle. They are currently in a copse of trees outside a small no-name town at the base of the mountain. We can probably swap Cherry for Rith, if you want. Or we can keep Cherry as an NPC. I'm flexible with how you want to do this, @Channelknight Fadran, @The Known Novel
  7. Valence smiled faintly. It was often amusing when people noticed his eyes. It tended to throw them for a loop. "Good afternoon, Commander Atadin. You requested to see me personally." His voice buzzed with a strange accent. "This is unusual for you, yes?"
  8. The Skiens nodded once more. Energy swirled around the room, and with a bright flash, the foursome were standing in a small copse of trees near a small town at the base of Stormtop mountain. They knew this because there was a convenient signpost on a dirt road, one side pointing away from the mountain with the word "Snowport", and the other pointing at the mountain, reading "Stormtop Mountain" @Shining Silhouette, @NerdyAarakocra, @Tani, @Channelknight Fadran
  9. Valence waited patiently outside the office of the City Guard. He had arrived in the city a week before, and as an outsider had had a great deal of trouble getting a job, much less one that would get him close to Vithankre. He needed to know what kind of person this warlord was. He could ultimately either accelerate or delay his plans by decades depending on his choices and that of his government. Before he could plot further, he was invited in and told he would meet Commander Atadin. He knocked politely on the door, and a gruff voice responded. "Enter." Valence opened the door and walked in.
  10. Balance nodded drowsily at Cassie's statement. Demaren frowned thoughtfully. "Near the end of the Forgery, something changed. Something shifted, and I began to feel strange tugs in my mind and body. It triggered my missing leg to hurt in a way it hadn't for months." Balance sat up shakily. "He's right," he said. "I felt the tug, and saw the world start to shift. Anyone from outside was not affected by the Forgery before that, but after... something changed so that we were included." Demaren nodded. "That may have made you vulnerable to the deForgery. Or rather, to the massive amount of energy that was released as the Forgery broke. I wonder where the rest went. How much energy does it take to bind an entire world?" Balance sat up the rest of the way, and noticed Cassie gathering up the dress from off the floor. "I never used that aspect of my powers much. Seemed rather impractical. The temporary wireframe constructs seemed much more useful and versatile." He looked directly into her gemstone eyes, his left one still golden, but his right with small streaks of a deep blue. "The dress was meant to be used. Either by you or someone else, but probably you." He smiled faintly. "It is good to create instead of destroy, for once." @Ashbringer
  11. Okay, I'd love to join. However, I first need some clarification. Your magic system has entirely to do with binding things to you, either to your body or your soul. My main question is: is it possible to be bound to anything not listed? And is it possible to be subject to multiple bindings? Other questions involve the history of your world and the area.
  12. Only to discover that any who go to visit the Big Fool then becomes the Big Fool. What a foolish move.
  13. Why do you like Sanderson? Our power is GROWING!
  14. I can only think of the ones that Hermitcraft has. That's probably a good place to start.
  15. We give you cells from Absence. We have Fortuity.
  16. Granted, you are devoid of motivation to do anything, including eating and breathing. We wish to know precisely why the invested arts we have are useless to us.
  17. As the shadows do not have substance, the vacuums are useless, though everywhere is very clean now. The shadows are confused and vanish, removing Depth from everything, causing many accidents. They snatch the sandwich from Witless, inexplicable capable of holding it.
  18. Do you give us your soul of your own free will and volition? Technical drawings.
  19. Probably quality of life mods would be best.
  20. The shadows do not need to follow you, as they were already there. For they were everywhere.
  21. The shadows cackled, planning far more destruction.
  22. Have a pet rock named Dwayne. We have a shady deal.
