Closed captions are pretty terrible right now, but Google is making pretty incredible progress in the field of natural language processing, so I actually wouldn't be surprised if they beef them up before too long. Maybe you can make that work.

I'll reach out to Isaac right away and see if I can share those. I've been waiting to get the video done before I release everything, but it's probably better to just show you guys the photos as quickly as possible and deal with the video when @Overlord Jebus stitches it together.

The problem with this theory - which has been popular at times - is that there is no more "Adonalsium Investiture." At the time of the Shattering, all Investiture in the universe became associated with one of the newly formed Shards. So if the Sibling existed back then, their composition would've changed somehow.

I need the swag packs like a sports player needs scissors - with how active they are, they must be sweating a ton, sweat getting in their eyes and all. It would be so handy for them to have a pair of scissors on hand, cut a piece of their uniform, and use it as a handkerchief! Makes you wonder why they don't have people running around the fields, handing scissors to players, it really does...

That person who set up a tent in front of the bookstore on Friday - they made me feel like a fake fan for not flying there and buying a house by the doors or something... 

I've been virtually read-crippled since A Memory of Light (500 pages in one day for AMOL, 350 pages in the three months after it for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), so I could use a double shot of emergency Sanderson to revive my will to read.

I think I'll settle for a digital edition. Unless I win one free, of course

The original question was a little more clear, sententadominus. The answer refers to the smoke that comes out of Nightblood when he vaporizes people (though I am not sure if we are talking about the smoke people turn into, or the smoke caused by the Breaths the sword consumes), and the burning eyes of victims of Shardblades.

Regarding the Newscast, I think it's a pretty cool idea. I had missed a couple of the announcements - nothing too big, but still. Looking forward to seeing more.
