Thanksgiving was great! (Please no one tell me that it's not thanksgiving I'm Canadian we do it on a different weekend I put this in an SU and people were real confused) We celebrated on Sunday because its as easier to schedule and we had turkey and ham and stuffing and mashed potatoes at my uncles trailer. There were so many people and so many potatoes that they boiled them outside in a huge bucket and it was really funny. The leaves were red and my cousin's cats were insane and it was great.

Hello, I'm here now. You may hav noticed that my name has absolutely nothing to do with ravens, but that's not why I'm here. I love names with ravens in them. I kind of wish I had a better username but I don't want to change it now. Anyways, all of your names are very cool and my favourite actual name with raven in it is Ravenell. A character in a story I was writing last year was called Ravenell and now that I'm writing something new I really want to just steal the name for a new character. Also I do actually know someone who's name is literally Raven and I think that's the coolest thing ever.

I actually have no idea if anyone on the shard likes Gilmore girls. I watched it with my mom a while ago and was just reminded of it by this dragonfly inn mug that I have. Haven't watched an episode in a little while but f anyone wants to discuss it I'm here! Also please chime in with opinions about the reboot because I have opinions. (To summarize, it was ok)

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. (I just literally ate an entire bowl of blueberries) There's definitely something to be said for leaving behind all the distractions of life and just walking. I'm glad you had an amazing trip.

Welcome to the shard! I definitely recommend arcanum, and of course Hoid is amazing. Hoid for president!

I chose Hesina because I love her with all of my heart. I almost found myself clicking Lirin though (hear me out) even though I kind of hate him. Lirin can be pretty awful to Kaladin sometimes, and I don't really like him as a person. But his conversations with Kaladin are so emotional to me and I love reading them. In rhythm of war I found that both Adolin's conversations with Dalinar and Kaladin's conversations with Lirin were really emotional and realistic (although Adolin should have been angrier at Dalinar) so out of all these characters I like Hesina the most but I love reading the whole Stormblessed family dynamic.

Your point about Skybreakers is so true. There are a few radiant orders that we really haven't explored all too much. Skybreakers who aren't working with Nale, for one, but also Dustbringers and Elsecallers, also definitely Willshapers. Either of these orders would probably make an awesome interlude, but I think that Dustbringer would be really cool. I just want to see a Dustbringer who's not on Taravangian's side. They don't have to be on the radiant's side, but a different perspective from Malata would be neat. A POV from one of the listeners that Venal finds at the end would be cool as well.

I think Taln just needs to leave. He needs a new home away from Roshar and away from the shards. I know that it would be painful for him to be removed from the world that he spent 4500 years trying to protect, but here's the thing, Taln is probably going to become a character in the back half, which means he's going to have to actually participate in the story and I'm so scared that more bad stuff is going to happen to him. Please Talk, just run away and find a safe place to relax. Let the new radiants figure out Roshar. This man needs a break.

Finally finished! It took me a little while, partially because I was busy, and partially because I was making a conscious effort to read slowly and enjoy the book. Everything was going fine until of course I got to the second half of the book and proceeded to devour the entire half in one evening (It's now almost 1 in the morning) I'm a bit tired but hopefully this is all... coherent. I love this book. So freaking much!!!! Sigzil, I love you. Elegy, I love you. Auxiliary = incredible!!! Some of my favourite parts were Nomad referencing Kaladin, because they really spoke to the impact that Kaladin has made on Sigzil and how that affects him even now. Also, this book just felt a bit more Cosmerey (that's a word, right?) than the other two Cosmere books. I know Brandon was experimenting with style, and that's great, but it was nice to have a book that felt more familiar. My last point is that I've been worried that space age Cosmere was going to ruin the Cosmere, and I am no longer worried because this book was storming incredible and still felt like part of the Cosmere even though there's lots of tech. My secret project rankings : 1. Yumi 2. Sunlit man 3. Tress 4. Frugal wizard Yumi was just such a beautiful book and the characters really spoke to me, but honestly during re-reads the Sunlit Man is probably going to be jumping to the to of my list.

Okay, this is kind of related, I always have bathing be an important ritual or something in different worlds and stories for a very simple and slightly silly reason. I like taking long baths, and baths are one of the only times that the world is quiet and I actually get to think. So, I come up with my best ideas in the bath, and sometimes they involve baths. Because that's what I'm doing. Maybe Brandon just comes up with ideas in the bath? I don't know, whatever.
