  1. I think that when they store sight they can probably see through the mists similarly to Allomancer burning tin.
  2. What about a random world hopper, super unexpectedly. Era 2
  3. I know that @The stormfather once tried to convince me that in the cosmere you could drink time... I think that Navani is going to end up as either an immortal Raboniel style villain or an immortal Khriss style scholar.
  4. Yup. We had a supply teacher so I basically just stared at the wall for like an hour and a half. I... really liked this idea. And had a bit of fun with it. This is Drollerin, a planet influenced by Whimsy and Autonomy. My idea for this is that Whimsy made a bunch of bird people who can't fly but they can glide around and they're really strong and good fighters. Autonomy wanted to make a super bird people army, so she made a deal with Whimsy that anyone who makes it to Autonomy's temple onher island joins the Phoenix army (gold and red :). Basically the magic on this island is the wind that follows a very specific pattern, and there are random places where winds always goes right up. People live in huge trees because the land floods all the time. The trees are full of parrots and monkeys and bright flowers, and every thing on the planet is super bright. A bit of Autonomy has influenced the culture and manifests in a desire to be unique. Every one's outfits and accents and expressions are intentionally wacky and awesome and different, and colourful makeup is super common. The cities are built on wooden and metal platforms (there's metal inside the trees obviously) but are super duper cheerful and people use the wind currents to fly everywhere with kites (kite magic!) that are made from feathers and flower petals. Also the flowers sing and music is super important to the culture, most machines also play music for no reason other than it's fun. Further inland is the land people who live in stained glass houses.
  5. Hello and welcome! I never made one of these and I've been here for ages. Pretty cool name.
  6. I guess Honor makes sense. The reason that I thought maybe Cultivation was because of how he helped with the farming at Urithiru, but really he did that because he knew how, not because he likes change or growth. okay, what if Rlain had Honor and Renarin had Cultivation guys I actually would love this please and thank you Brandon.
  7. I think that Sigzil probably left a long time ago, and maybe Kaladin died of old age but Sigzil wasn't sure, so when someone showed up randomly he thought for a second that it might be Kaladin. I did not get the impression that Sigzil was certain Kaladin was alive or in a position to contact him.
  8. Oooh I like this idea! I think that a cyberpunk planet invested by whimsy would be cool. Like, with Lego movie cloud city vibes and kite magic and hover ships and stuff. Okay I will return shortly with a map and better fleshed out idea but for now I have to go to chemistry.
  9. Do you think Rlain would be better for Honor or Cultivation?
  10. Yeah, and they all think that the other two enormous continents on their planet are fake. They're (who's they? I have no idea.) just trying to convince them (the Fjordells) that their mission of converting the world is incomplete. There aren't entire empires that don't believe in Jaddeth. Obviously.
  11. Right. I just think that having a planet with three shard, a listener, a human, and a dragon would be awesome. But now that I actually consider it, maybe that doesn't make sense. If Odium ever is defeated in the future, then there won't be a shard with a human vessel. And even though I loved the idea that the human shard would be the super evil conquest one, if a human took up Honor and a listener took up Cultivation and Odium stormed off, maybe Roshar would be okay? I don't see this happening in KoWT though, just because that's a lot of stuff to happen in one already crazy book. the foreshadowing thing is my biggest problem with this idea. We know Venli pretty well, but I don't think that she properly embodies Honor all that much. Maybe Cultivation, because she likes change and progress, but Venli as Cultivation seems to me like a danger to the safety of Roshar. Other named listeners haven't been set up very well for this (Eshonai, why'd you have to die?) but maybe in the back half they could be? If the back half is more herald focused, we could meet a Fused through flashbacks and then have them Ascend. Maybe Leshwi? (Raboniel why'd you have to die?) More listeners in KoWT would be pretty cool. I really want to learn more about their history and how they turned away from Odium.
  12. Welcome!
  13. That's one less thing to worry about (Never gon' be president now)
  14. I thought it was Adolin or someone when they were deciding that Adolin would talk to Eshonai instead of Dalinar because he's more important and they needed to keep him safe.
  15. I've seen a lot of people pointing this out, and I have to admit that I didn't even notice this. Having had it pointed out to me, it does seem a little weird that she was able to do it that quick, but Shai just radiates competence and I love her and totally believe that she would have been capable of this impossible feat. I really enjoyed this book, which I wasn't expecting because I normally don't like shorter stuff. I found that Shai was really interesting and for some reason I love stories that start in prison cells. I don't know why, I guess it's just an interesting way to introduce a character because they can't do stuff and there's no one to talk to, so you get a little internal monologue to get to know them. The thing I liked most about it though is the atmosphere in Shai's room. The feeling of panicked speed working and basically last minute cramming for a test is kind of super relatable. I feel like there's almost a mode that my brain goes in where the work consumes it and time and space are meaningless. Shai definitely has this feel to her.
  16. Well that's unfortunate... for you. *evil laugh*
  17. Top hat/empty AirPods case This thread never needed sense in the first place
  18. Argh. Why would you quote me.
  19. I've been thinking about drawing another map of Roshar but then filling the background with alethi woman's script.
  20. Taravangan definitely. The new power that he has gained is so terrifying and I think that he'll definitely be a major player in the future of the Cosmere. Taravangian wanting capacity seems really relatable, and I find his intelligent shifts lead to a fascinating character that is different every day.
  21. Welcome to the shard! I like your profile picture.
