Maybe Nalthis is to the Cosmere what Svorden is to Sel (minus the shark fighting). A small place that doesn't have a huge military force, so it can be captured fairly easily, but it gains respect by being very progressive and technologically advanced. There could be lots of scholars on Nalthis who study awakening, intent, command, and magi tech, but I still don't think that on the scale of the Cosmere Nalthis is as powerful as Scadrial or Roshar.

I might be wrong but I though that the Night Brigade had FTL which is how they got to Canticle so fast without using a perpendicularity.

Ilike reading the extra stuff because I really like Brandon's work and I always run out of stuff to re-read. I totally get that you don't want to read extra stuff and I think that what you're saying makes a lot of sense. It kind of bugs me that so much is revealed in WoBs and annotations. Although so far I think Brandon's done well, it worried me that maybe later on some stuff won't be revealed except in WoBs. I want the story to feel complete even if you only read the books.

Hello 17th sharders. I'm slightly busy procrastinating working on an anthropology essay, so I thought I'd make this! Inspired by the theatre kids thread, this is a place for anyone who is in a band, was in a band, is a band (I don't know) etc. I play the alto saxophone in senior band, jazz band, and another small ensemble. I'm kind of annoyed at my school right now because it really seems like they don't care about the music program. The drama program just went on a huge trip and ours hasn't been approved yet. Also, we've ahad two assemblies all about clubs and stuff. Sports teams, school newspaper, environmental club, they were all mentioned and celebrated. Each individual sports team (there's so many) was listed and applauded, and all they said about us was "And what would our school be without its music program." Literally that's it. So I just wanted to find some positive vibes from people who think band is awesome and fun and cool and other adjectives. YAY!

Hello! I did this on hero forge a while ago to show my players what an NPC looked like. Probably starting a new MAG campaign soon so I'm going to make a ton of these. I might practice by making stormlight characters while I'm still writing the plot.

I really loved the part in RoW where they all go out for a drink, and Kaladin mentioned that he occasionally got drinks with Adolin, so I wanted to write an example of another time they got drinks together. It ended up very similar to the original scene because I was mostly just trying to capture that energy, but I had fun writing it. I imagine that after this scene Adolin shows up at Kaladin's door and they talk and make up and it's super nice, but I didn't write that part. Obviously Stormlight spoilers. Sorry the formatting is weird it happens when I copy stuff from Google Docs.
