  1. I mean, a good way to make an undead is spiking a cognitive shadow into a body? Probably a shade, or shade-like, since most shadows have to much personality to make a good army. Maybe this book is about how the night brigade controls their shades.
  2. Does anyone else's parents schedule something that works for their schedule, but not yours, then act like you're being weird for being unhappy?

    Cus mine do!

  3. Yeah, I get where you're coming from, but also, I really don't agree. I use rep, often when I agree with an idea, I just dint have anything to add to the conversation. I've never won the day, despite having a fair amount of rep, and being on here for almost 2 years now, but I'm not annoyed by it. Rep, used in threads is a consensus, saying I like this. And replacing it with a seniority based on age idea is just bad, that makes the issue much worse. In order to get to a cool rank, you should have been here 7 years ago, which to me at least, feel more hostile than essentially liking a post.
  4. The question I meant is, where they made by ado, or do they precede, or appear at the same time as it?
  5. Aethers, Aetherbound and spores are all Invested; the only question is if they're invested from Ado, or from somewhere else. Also, if you want to explain the spirtual realm, you have to touch on the "oneness" where everyplace, and every time are one. Kinda. This sentence I take some issue with this. As it's commonly understood, all magic (save the aethers) is powered by a shard. Whether it's consciously or unconsciously, all investiture and invested arts were reassigned to one or more shards during or after the shattering. Most, if not all, Invested arts require three things: Intent, or the will to activate a facet of your Art. it's often conscious, but if nothing else, your body wants to Survive and will activate the art regardless of whether you are aware of it. Secondly, you must have a Command. This is what Aons, Metals, and the spoken Commands of awakening are, and this filters a broad intent into a specific move. Finally, most magic needs Initiation, which is the spark that sets the fire; some magic systems are harder than others (Elantris), and others are very easy (Awakening). This forges the connection between you and whatever powers you.
  6. I'm watching a series on Christian heresy, and it seems like pretty much everyone is a heretic. Yes, even you, and even me!

      For religion? Several.

for heretics? I mean… not really, unless you count the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints thread as one lol.

I suppose.... but singling one heretic out seems silly...

  7. Really easy to dye bleached hair.....
  8. I wonder what happens if you awaken one's corpse....
  9. Fire needs a constant stream of oxygen! Thats probably why they need to breath.
  10. Maybe I'll start working on the bleach bomb... and make all of you blond... *evil laughter*
  11. But on a different note, there are some clear parallels. They're both invested warriors created by taking the power of others. Both Spikes and Emberhearts result in dramatic physical changes, and both Spiritwebs are shredded, with "inroads" for shards and others to use. But Charred's identities are burned away, and the Inquisitors are not. Thats the big difference, Inquisitors are recognizable, to themselves and to others, while the charred are not. (Mentally, I mean)
  12. Cosmere spoilers are not allowed here, which is part of why this forum section is rarely used.
  13. Gods, I'm blond, and I'm just looking at you all fighting it out. This is indeed very funny.
  14. Well, a cognitive shadow is just a splinter that looks like a person. Realmatictly, they're the same. Anything a splinter can do, a shadow can too. You can make Yumi or a Shade into a sword if you want to. It's not gonna grant you surgebinding, but the other benefits should happen.
  15. That's the word I was looking for! Been to long since I read everything....
  16. Not really. Leras was dying, but he was not dead. Ati was imprisoned but not silent. Remember, both still influenced the world while imprisoned or dying. The shards had vessels, even if they were not at their highest capacity.
  17. Or, maybe just put a large gem inside.
  18. I think an A-Pewter F-Iron would be the best.
  19. Unless, of course, they have something to reduce their weight...
  20. Well, he worked with gavilar for a while. And he is clearly a scholar; he knows the mechanics behind Jesrin's death. The Investiture- anti-investiture reaction is pretty self explanatory. I'm not convinced Ishar used anti-light. It seems like their would be easier ways to destroy a planet.
  21. The Double Shard is unlikely, as it's kinda a cop-out. Way to simple. Mistborn
