    I need fantasy.

    After I finish Children of Dune, I'm gonna set the Color of Magic aside and just start Eldest. 

    I've been away from good solid fantasy for long enough. The last fantasy I read that wasn't Discworld was probably Kingkiller. I need some good classic fantasy.

      I can read far less violence than I can write... Like, I can write someone ripping a limb off squeezing someone's organ, but without detail, and be perfectly fine (that last one really made me realize to what degree I was at and started me doing far less violence in my writing lol), but reading those same things feels far different.

      Huh, interesting. I’m the exact opposite. I can read the sickest things out there, and it scares me how much I can enjoy it, but when I start to write it I just…I don’t know, it just hits different when I’m creating it myself.

    I hope this gets released sometime- Pat just needs to reshape his expectations on himself. he can't do something amazing on the first try every time. Man has unhealthy expectations. He made two good books and then just lost motivation. I hope he's doing alright.
