  6. Flashback: space Thaidakar rounded the corner in the large, white hallway. Electric lights guided the way. He wore a militaristic, black and white uniform. A pattern moved softly on his left sleeve, buzzing. He smiled, Lerya would be in her room, waiting for him. "I just saw something move, a shadow," said Glyph softly in his odd accent. He was from Roshar. "It may have been Shadow, but... it's hard to tell." "it probably was just Shadow," said Thaidakar, adjusting his glasses. He hoped it was just Shadow. It could have been... the thing. But no, it couldn't be. He'd left the thing behind back in... No, he had to leave that behind, he was a new person now. He had to leave that behind. Glyph buzzed again, "in all our three thousand years together, you haven't been nearly as nervous as you've been in our years in this realm." Thaidakar rolled his eyes, not responding. He rounded another corner, passing a squad of uniformed guards. "You should have worn a suit like I told you," said Glyph accusingly. "Fine." Thaidakar moved his fingers across his uniform; an illusion covered it, making it seem as if he wore a dark blue suit with a black tie. "You happy now? Good. Just don't give me anymore lectures tonight." "Alright, boss man." said Glyph happily, buzzing softly. Thaidakar stopped by a metal door and rapped loudly on it. A woman in her early thirties answered the door. She wore a tight, red uniform with a gold insignia that showed that she was a commander on the ship. Her hair was frazzled and eyes playful. She grinned, "hey, Thaid'. I thought you were coming back in another week!" "Well," he smiled, "it took faster than I thought. The-" he was cut off as Lerya kissed him, giving him a short hug. He smiled, but it was short lived as he felt something approach from behind. A shadow with red eyes and a dark expression. Glyph's pattern moved faster and faster, "Thaidakar!" Thaidakar pulled out of the kiss and cursed, Lerya looked confused. The shadow looked like... no. No. No. He couldn't relive those memories. The shadow smiled softly as its features seemed to become clearer. "What is this, Thaid'?" Asked Lerya, hand on a side pistol. "A nightmare..." whispered Thaidakar. "I thought..." The shadow stepped forward and whispered. That voice... no... "You are mine, Thaidakar. You have always been mine..." "No..." Thaidakar summoned his Glyph-blade. It fell into his hand, glitching occasionally. It gleamed darkly; mixed with his soulless powers and radiant powers, the blade was powerful. "Get out of my life!" he yelled suddenly. The shadow held its place. "Destiny always arrives on time, my friend..." It turned into vapor and seemed to hit Thaidakar in the mouth. Thaidakar's vision flashed red and he cursed. His muscles moved by themselves, stabbing Lerya in the heart with his sword. Thaidakar paled, "Lerya..." the words wouldn't leave his mouth, however. Lerya looked at him, stunned as she fell to the floor, blood leaking from her body. "Th-Thaidakar..." Thaidakar regained his control and he stood, paralyzed. "Lerya... Lerya. COME BACK TO ME!" Red energy seemed to flow around him, in the hallways. The ship seemed to quake, lights flashing, people screaming. "Come back..." he whispered, falling to his knees and cradling the body. Glyph didn't say anything, he was back in pattern form on the floor. The very universe seemed to implode on itself. Thaidakar's ears seemed to explode with screams as his body seemed to burn slightly. He... He was destroying everything. He gripped Lerya's body as it started to turn to ashes. His tears evaporated as he made them, the ship being destroyed. Glyph whispered, "oh, Thaidakar..." Thaidakar clutched what was left of Lerya's body and whispered, "I'll see... I'll see you across the bend... my love... oh my love... I'll see you around the corner... I'll see you someday again..." The air rippled and Thaidakar disappeared suddenly. He screamed. And, suddenly, he was somewhere else as the dimension he'd been in was turned to ashes and void.

  9. The Clinic Lobby Jimmy Thunder walked along grumpily, he needed a good place to set up his restaurant.
  10. The Archive Thaidakar grimaced, his mouth twitched. That voice! it hadn't been the nasal voice, it had been... THAT VOICE! Thaidakar threw the crumpled dagger at the wall. The armor was surrounded by a red glow that held it frozen in the air. Thaidakar paced around it, trying to figure out what to do. You are mine, Thaidakar... the words haunted him. Who was he? Who was he really? His own words from earlier echoed in his mind, "I am a hero..." Was it still true? How could he function if he wasn't sure of himself. He shivered, stopping in place. Perhaps he was a lie. Maybe he wasn't a hero. Maybe he was... "no" something said loudly inside him. Thaidakar jolted, what was that? Something moved on the ground nearby. Whatever it was, it appeared to be glitching. Thaidakar tilted his head, "what are you?" The voice whispered again, "what am I? I am the one who has been with you since..." it trailed off. Thaidakar flinched. "no... I killed you. I'm not going back to that time." It couldn't be Glyph... Glyph had been destroyed when Thaidakar had- No, he couldn't think about it, he couldn't! It would turn him back into... He cringed, backing into the wall and sliding to the floor. He held his knees with his arms and whimpered. He'd lost so much that day... Glyph couldn't be back. He couldn't! Something laughed in his head, but Thaidakar paid it no attention. He started whispering a song, "I'll see... I'll see you across the bend... my love... oh my love... I'll see you around the corner... I'll see you someday again..."

  12. Aight, people, I might be diving back into the alley verse with two characters. One I've been thinking about besides the ghostblood one is either a spren or a singer. I think one that accidentally fell into the alley verse would be just... so fun.
  13. The Archive Thaidakar walked around the massive place, keeping track and looking for a catalog. As he walked, Gloopy was settled over a chair. Not on a chair, over one. It had turned into a pile of shadows and had covered the chair. A bizarre thought struck Thaidakar, Who am I? He thought for a minute, reaching for the answer. Who was he? Was he just a soulless? Maybe, what about a staff in the Clinic? Could that be who he was? Soulless staff? That didn't sound right... Maybe you're destined for greatness... an heir who's ignored his potential for long... perhaps the ignorance can end... perhaps he can- Thaidakar silenced the nasal voice speaking in his mind. He would not do anything it said. Whatever he was, he wasn't a person who did what creepy voices in his mind told him to do. He continued walking close to the walls, observing the shelves as he went. The walls were made of black, crystal looking bricks with occasional metallic white bricks with glyphs on them. Thaidakar took notice of several tapestries on the walls, depicting different battles and ancient scholars or kings. Something caught his eye and he stopped, it was a massive glowing white suit of armor. It had black glyphs covering various parts of it, a red aura coming off of these like a powerful scent. Thaidakar walked towards it, it glowed hotter and brighter. Thaidakar backed away a step, what? The metal reflected his image, showing himself as he was. As soon as he thought that, however, it shifted. It showed himself, but how the thing would have him. Darker, paler, more powerful, handsome, evil... His eyes glowed in the reflection and the reflection moved slightly. Thaidakar blinked, tilting his head. Something punched him in the shoulder, flinging him across the room and into a shelf. Thaidakar hit with a small slap, "ouch..." He stood up, the suit of armor moved towards him, something gleaming in one of its gauntleted fists. The fist opened and something sharp flew at Thaidakar. He caught the hilt just in time, stopping the glowing dagger from going into his brain. Goosebumps climbed down Thaidakar's spine. It was the same sort of dagger as the chicken priests had had. It gleamed dangerously, loud whispers seeming to come from the books, knife and floor. The knife pulsed quickly, burning Thaidakar's palm as it tried to come forward. Thaidakar's hand was greased with sweat as he held it back. It started to heat up and Thaidakar yelled. The armor jumped towards Thaidakar, drawing a massive creamy white sword from a sheath at its side. It had red glyphs on it too, the same as on the dagger. The dagger started to push further and Thaidakar gritted his teeth, something glowing red. The dagger started to crumple in Thaidakar's palm. Shadows flickered nearby as Thaidakar stood up, adjusting his glasses. The armor was frozen in place, sword just inches away from Thaidakar's head. The whispers were faster now, more excited. He couldn't make out any of the words except one, "destiny..." He shivered as he noticed where the red light was coming from. A voice whispered, "You are mine, Thaidakar..."
  14. The Sixth Archive Thaidakar smiled as he opened the door, smelling the books. It was... another archive. Excellent. The long bookshelves practically covered in books was a pleasant sight to him. Gloppy walked past Thaidakar and kicked one of the shelves, it started to topple. Thaidakar rushed up and kept it in place, "don't do that, Gloppy! I want to keep this information!" Gloppy nodded, sad, "but I want to!" "Just don't, Gloppy. Maybe sometime, but not yet." said Thaidakar, walking along and looking at the shelves. He took out a book and started to flip through it.
  15. Meanwhile, Shadow, Shadow and Shadow, each in a different form, walked the hallways of the laboratory owned by Rond. The lead Shadow said softly, "he should be here somewhere..."
  16. The hallway Gloopy seemed to smile, "I will show you way." It walked up to the wall behind Thaidakar and touched the white stone set in it. A weird noise emitted from Gloopy and the wall shivered. Thaidakar tilted his head as the walls slid into the ground, revealing a wooden door with the world seers mark on it. Thaidakar smiled, "excellent..."
