  1. What the actual freaking heck?!?! How am I still in the game?
  2. Lilliana thought for a few minutes, trying to figure out where to start. She snapped. “Okay, so to understand anything about what I’m gonna say, you’re going to need to know about cells. Your body is made of trillions of cells. Cells are microscopic, and they are the building blocks of life. To see individual cells, you need microscopes. Anyway, your cells are always creating proteins, which are really important for your body to function. Each cell has genetic material, which contains the instructions for the creation of said proteins. Sometimes, your body has little invaders called viruses that latch onto your cells and inject their genetic material into the cells. Then, the cells take the instructions in the genetic material, and use it to create new viruses. The viruses continue to be produced, until the cell explodes. There are specific cells in your body that actually fight the viruses, such as B-cells and T-cells. These cells sometimes can remember viruses that have already been in your body, and when that happens, they are able to kill off the viruses quicker. On Earth, we have figured out a way to make the B-cells and T-cells remember the viruses without getting sick, or make you get less sick. They are vaccinations. Vaccines are where you take a dead virus, part of a dead virus, or sometimes a paralyzed virus, and have it enter your body. It’s often through needles, but there are other ways as well. COVID-19, or more accurately, SARS-CoV-2 is a virus. It kills specific cells in your lungs, and spreads really easily. It has basically shut down Earth. Everyone has been stuck in their homes for a year, and we have to wear masks. People for some reason decided to buy all of the toilet paper. It sucks. Actually, COVID is related to a few viruses that cause the common cold. The most common virus that causes the cold is the Rhinovirus, but there are some coronaviruses. So, it has taken a while for scientists to create the COVID-19 vaccine, but they did. It’s a new type of vaccine called an m-RNA vaccine. Remember how I was talking about genetic material? There are multiple types. Like DNA. Your DNA contains your entire genetic code. It contains the information about your appearance, blood type, gender, and more. DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. There is another type of genetic material called RNA. It stands for ribonucleic acid. m-RNA, or messenger RNA, takes the instructions for the proteins to these things in your cells called ribosomes. They are what actually create the proteins. So the m-RNA vaccine injects part of the m-RNA of COVID-19 into your body. It lets your body know that COVID is bad, and to destroy it. Oh, and viruses each target specific cells. There are many different types of cells in your body. There are blood cells, neurons, skin cells, and much, much more. Cells come together to make tissues, tissues come together to make organs, organs come together to make organ systems, which make up your body. Any questions?” She smiled happily.
  3. "It's like... well... Scadrial, but we don't have the Metallic Arts, and it's also more scientifically advanced." She grimaced. "Although, that's not always a good thing. Some of the advancements, such as Nuclear and Biological weapons, are... not great. Oh, and we've also got COVID-19. COVID is a sickness that has turned into a global pandemic. I could explain some stuff about it if you want." She offered.
  4. "Why is this my life?!" She moaned. "Who are they?" She asked him.
  5. She paused, and then swallowed the brownies. "Oh. Sorry." She ran back, and got another one. "Here." She said, sheepishly.
  6. "Maybe you could move to Earth with us at some point." She paused. "If we ever do get back." She added. "And maybe all of the books will be out by then!" She said cheerfully.
  7. Shade Elieen was happily shooting from the roof. (She hits about 49/50 of targets she aims for.) Now this is more like it. I can use my skills, and I don't have to worry about my moral standing. After I save my sister, maybe I'll try to join an army or something.
  8. Arelea walked over to the stairs, heard voices, and immediately turned around and walked the other way. She was not in a people-y sort of mood, and wanted to be alone. No one judged her or her stutter when she was alone, so she was typically more confident. At the moment, however, she was more curious than she normally was, and just wanted to explore.
  9. Hoping to not gain anymore attention, she used a tiny bit of her Lightweaving to make herself look a bit more ordinary. It was something she did a lot, actually, and she had gotten really good at it. Most people wouldn't even notice the change, as it was really small.
  10. Valve sighed. "Well, I finished the device." She muttered under her breath. She flipped it on, started typing, and...
  11. "Well, I'd have to ask..." She looked at Pani, and paused. "I'll talk to Pani about it once she wakes up." "Walking down the street. Like I just said."
  12. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. Idl counted her steps in her head. 1 2 3. All of the best things come in threes. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3. 1 2 3.
  13. Lilliana was listening to the conversation interested. This is both the coolest and the absolute strangest week of my life.
  14. She punched his arm really hard. And got into a position that made it easier to run. @AmazingGoob!
  15. She grinned, ran out without making too much noise, stole two brownies from the middle, shoved them into her mouth, and ran back.
  16. Thank you, and fair. I will try, but I'm not going to be able to be as active on the shard in general for the next few weeks, as my family is getting a dog. And there is a lot of deep cleaning and researching my family is doing. I will try, but I am not able to get on for substantial periods of time very often. I'm still going to try to give opinions, but I won't be contributing very much. Sorry.
  17. "Well, I wouldn't try to."
  18. She wiggled her fingers at her. "I know what bite marks look like. I can pick at the brownies, making them look like someone bit a hole in the brownies."
  19. She deflated slightly, and then perked back up. "What if I make it look like I did it, but don't actually do it?"
  20. "I'm gonna stick my face into the brownies." She grinned. "I did that once, years ago, to a pie. The person who made it got really mad." She winced, and rubbed the top of her head. "I haven't dared to do anything like that since."
  21. She grinned deviously. "I bet I could make said person even angrier." She snickered.
  22. She followed with a grin.
  23. "Uh... That depends. I'm not going to force Sequence to do anything." @JesterLavorre
