Oh, no. The phoenix is in trouble. Despite her every instinct to leave them to die, Daisy flew up the dog's nose.

Cara turned back when she saw the little boy writing in the snow. She cocked her head as she read the word the boy wrote, Ni. What the heck does that mean? Cara thought. "Um...what do you mean by Ni?"

"Follow me. Let's get you inside." Cara said, moving toward the tower Felicity following behind. Cara glanced back to see if the little boy would follow.

Aww...he's so cute! Cara thought. When she saw the burlap sack over his head, she gasped softly. "It's dangerous to put stuff over your head. You could suffocate." Cara paused for a moment, thinking. "Come out here. It's okay. We can get you cleaned up inside. You must be far away from home." Cara said sympathetically.

"Oh, you're not a bunny." Cara said, surprised. "Well, that is okay. Don't worry, the wolves are gone. What's your name? I'm Cara."

That was easier than expected. Cara thought. Cara trotted up to the tree. She got off Felicity and slowly approached the spot where the wolves were digging. "Hello? Any bunny there?"

Cara stood, taken aback. The wolves weren't interested in her or anything visible except...a tree? As the wolves scratched at the ground to get at something underneath, Cara realized that they could be hunting a rabbit. Cara couldn't let that happen. No way are some ugly wanna-be dogs gonna hurt any cute innocent creature. Cara thought angrily. She hopped on her horse and charged, her big scary looking stick in hand and out to the side ready to strike.

Cara heard wolves howl in the distance. Wary, she packed up her guitar and and took Felicity's reins into her hand. She heard some rustling in the woods. She grabbed a big scary looking stick off of the ground. Kind of prepared to fight, but more so prepared to just flee. She stayed rooted in place.

Daisy squealed and flew into a bush away from the knot of trees where the noise came from, but still near the majestic phoenix.

Emily gasped.

Daisy peeked out. She'd been hiding behind the human girl with the phoenix friend. "I do, too."

Cara eventually sat on the grass and started playing her guitar with Felicity on the ground next to her. Music always made her feel better.

It's totally gonna be a dragon. Emily thought excitedly. Just say it! It's a dragon. She fidgeted a little.

Cara walked around outside the tower with Felicity walking next to her. This area felt abandoned and lonely. Much like how Cara felt. She didn't even know them very much or for very long. Why did she feel hurt then? People came and go often. It was a part of her life. Cara sighed and kicked up some dust. I don't have any friends. Any real ones anyway. @S4S

Cara paused, "I guess not..." She said, feeling forlorned. She looked at Minuet and Ara. "Fine. Go. I'll miss you." She hugs Ara before quietly leaving to find somewhere to be alone.

"Yeah, it's not fair for you to leave saying that it is for our own good but never telliing us why!" My friends always end up leaving me.

"Well, Sir Nathaniel shouldn't be a problem. I mean if The Shadow can easily kill a dragon, then he can tackle him. Also, I don't know what a grace is or whatever, but it doesn't sound very dangerous. So...I don't really see how the "risks" outweigh the benefits."

"Look, just...don't leave." Cara begged.

Cara rolled her eyes. "This group doesn't need me and I'm here. Besides, you wouldn't cause trouble, but we will be in trouble without you."

Cara picked up the pace. "So what? You're just gonna ditch us?" The people here don't like me. Minuet is literally running away from me.

"Don't leave. We do need you. Also, who is this Sir Nathaniel?"

Cara hurried after her, "Where are you going? Can I come? Why do you say that you're the only one leaving?"

Emily leaner forward slightly, intrigued.
