Not sure Metal arts produce tones, but Bronze mistings can sense Rosharan tones as pulses.

That's why Navani discovered the anti-tones first? Copper mistings are used to discerning pulses. So Bronze misting Lightweavers could be very dangerous to any invested being. I can accept that Dustbringers are not reliable allies to Dalinar instead of out right against them.

I have to partially agree with @Frustration on this. Using metal arts requires snapping, a medallion, or spike. Becoming radiant only needs a bond. Good point on the bondsmith, but there are metal arts that could do the same. The ghostbloods are trying to transport Stormlight because it is generic investiture and can fuel any magic system. Metal born would use it like the metal they burn or store and tap. Your A and B Assumes they start fighting as soon as they arrive on Roshar. so no they wouldn't need to enter enemy territory. Rosharans on Scadrial would soon be helpless not so the other way around.

I think it was mentioned that Dustbringers in general were also helping the fused. The were bonded to Humans. Bronze allomancers would be more likely find nullifying tones to use against their enemies.

Yes it seems as if Mists and Stormlight act similarly as a generic investiture usable by anyone with invested abilities. Open medallions could be a solution so long as the Rosharan was able to hold onto it. Once bonded surges couldn't be taken from a Scadrian.

Cryptics, and cultivation spen as a group already seem predisposed to aid the radiants even while assuming that Humans murdered spren. Ash spen seem generally disposed the other way. We know why skybreakers aligned in general with the Fused, but the High Spren don't seem to have an opinion.

My point was that it is far more likely to have a Metalborn Radiant from Scadrial than from Roshar. Scadrians are also likely to be able to use Stormlight to fuel their metalborn abilities right off the bat where Rosharans wont be able to use metal for investiture.

yeah except that only those in denial still believe that. High Spren have another reason for aligning with the Fused. Also not all Spren of the same type agree which side to choose.

Some Spren seem likely to join the fused, so I think them joining Scadrians would have more to do with aligning with their ideals than where they are from. It might also depend on what caused the state of hostility such as Spren joining Scadrians who opposed Radiants aligned with the Fused. Skybreakers come to mind. I largely agree with your above responces. A Steel Twin for example might be able to land enough powerful hits to overpower plate

that can't be true since Hoid among others have traveled to both. Brandon has already indicated that Scadrians will develop interstellar travel. No Spren are likely to choose people who meet their ideals regardless of planet origin. Hoid has a Cryptic and he is not Rosharan. Vin would probably bond an Honor Spren, and Wax a High Spren.

Why have no genocide happened on singers?
BenduLuke replied to Alicila's topic in Stormlight Archive
Not that the Germans knew, and Jews didn't fight in the German army. not a good example. Negros fought with both british and americans and were not genocided by either. -
Why do you and everyone think a Scadrian needs Atium to have a chance against a Rosharan. First this isn't Mistborn vs Radiant it is Scadrian vs Rosharan. A Scadrian is more likely to bond a Spren than a Rosharan to snap to metal born. A duralumin nat dustbringer or skybreaker could wipe out whole armies of Radiants with nuclear and or caustic blasts. A Steel twin would be able to overwhelm virtually any Radiant with the shear number and strength of strikes while keeping their distance. Give them projectiles with aluminum welded to metal and the projectiles would negate any healing the radiant does or that occurs with the plate. I think there a many ways a Scadrian could get the upper hand on a Radiant especilly since they have a more versetile array of abilities.

Why have no genocide happened on singers?
BenduLuke replied to Alicila's topic in Stormlight Archive
Since I listen to the books I don't remember which chapter, but it was in Way of Kings during Dalinar's visions. It also makes logical sense that some singers were radiants because they had shards. What was unique about Venli is that she had a void spren in her heart, and bonded Timber as a radiant so she was both fused and radiant. Most spren don't remember the time of the recreance so when Timber told Venli that they didn't have those kinds of bonds with singers it could very easily have been out of ignorance. Stormlightning Were there Radiants on the Voidbringers' side in ancient Desolations? Brandon Sanderson I will RAFO this for now. Excellent question. There were humans on their side, and there were occasionally singers on the humans' side Since some singers were allied with the radiants you don't genocide allies. So you don't genocide Singers outright. Even if only some Singers fought on the Radiant's side you don't genocide your allies or their relatives. Both sides had human and singer allies. Therefore no genocide. -

Explain Singers fighting along side Radiants in Dalinars visions and Singer shards then? Only when bonded to Spren do Singers shape stone which is why all their cities were in disrepair in WoK and RoW. -

No singers too. It was also willshapers that built singer cities. Evidence indicates that once there were Radiant Singers. -

in the visions there were humans who fought along side the singers on both sides. -
While reading WoR Hoid implied that eventually the surges could produce attacks of mass destruction like nuclear bombs. A mixed investiture that would be capable of this would be a Duralumin nat which bonds an Ash Spren, thus becoming a Duralumin Dustbringer. That combination could unleash devastating division attacks like a nuclear blast cone, massive caustic wave, or aging zone which would only be limited by the amount of available stormlight and duralumin. Skybreaker Duralumin combination could do much the same thing with the added ability to launch a division infused duralumin enhanced item miles away like a balistic bio-nuclear-chemical missile. One person weapon of mass destruction.

Why have no genocide happened on singers?
BenduLuke replied to Alicila's topic in Stormlight Archive
In the visions their were humans on Odium's side and Singer's on the Herald's side. Humans were the original void bringers. The shards among the Parshendi probably came from their Knights. By the time civilization recovered Parshmen were docile slaves and no one remembered them as Singers, nor did anyone remember who was on who's side. No one was in any shape to fight after any of the desolations especially the Recrience. -
What's some interesting lore surrounding the Final Empire?
BenduLuke replied to Cheyenne Sedai's topic in Mistborn
Let me correct that. My first Mistborn book was Alloy of Law. I first read Brandon in Wheel of Time. By the time I found Alloy of Law I had read Elantris, and was Reading the Reconers. I think I noticed Alloy of Law because it was near the Safe Hold series by David Weber (Off Armageddon reef). i was a L'amour fan so the western theme intrigued me. I think I read Way of Kings after binging Mistborn just before shadows of self came out. My favorite character is probably Lyft, followed by Kaladin, then Shallon. I would like to see more Shai as well. Wax and Wayne are just fun to read, so I wonder where their story will go. I really wonder what 3rd Gen Mistborn will do. Right now Brandon is one of my favorite authors. Card and Modesitt rounding out the top 3. I love just about everything he writes, and appreciate his writing classes online. I hope to one day attend his in person classes down at BYU. -
Hemalurgy was ruin's system. Allomancy was preservation's system. Feruchemy was the intersection of the two. As they shared the same planet the means of investiture was metal. On Roshar the established means of investiture is Stormlight. Odium corrupted that by creating void light just like Trell made trellium spikes. It might have been Odium joining Roshar that created the Nahel bond, but the surges were already established by Honor and Cultivation and Odium couldn't change them. Their are related effects between types of investiture, but few direct overlaps. I can't think of any direct overlaps, but Brandon has said that all cosmere magic works everywhere. I think one of the reasons the Ghostbloods want to transport stormlight off of Roshar is because it is generic investiture that could fuel magic systems anywhere. In other words Allomancers could use it in place of burning metal, or Feruchemists could fill metal minds to fuel feruchemy. It can replace sand, breaths, color, dor,or any other power source to fuel any magic system. It also seems to be the most inefficient investiture source.
-
Scadrial really only had 2 systems and the resonance between them. Preservation produced alomancy the net positive system. Ruin produced hemalurgy the net zero system. where the 2 produce a resonance you get feruchemy the net zero system. Cultivation seems to create the enhanced physical effects like healing inherant in stormlight, while honor seems to create the external surges like lashings. Shards seem to be the resonance between them. The singers accessed these abilities through forms. I am not sure what Odium brought to the table when he arrived or if he simply co-opted a twisted version of what already existed. Old magic appears to be the end neutral magic of Roshar taking power from one place and taking it from another permanently. Stormlight acts like Adrenalin enhancing while it lasts, but leaving them drained once used up.

What's some interesting lore surrounding the Final Empire?
BenduLuke replied to Cheyenne Sedai's topic in Mistborn
Since the first Mistborn book I read was Alloy of Law, I kept expecting Vin to start using feruchemy through out the first series. The Lord Ruler is lazy and un-creative in his Magic. I think he subconsciously wanted someone to come along and kill him, but was afraid to let go. -
Shallon have consequences? she has experienced decades of consequences. She shattered because of the death of her mother and Testament. That is the reason she was 3 people and almost a 4th. Maybe the Cryptics picked her twice because of how complex she is, and how willing she is to share her truth. They love deception, and complexity and value how accepting personal truth further increases nuanced complexity. Shallan is perhaps the most complex character in the whole series so far and thus to a Cryptic has the most potential. Testaments death only makes Shallon an even better candidate for Pattern because of the increased deception it created. Maybe she will be the first double 5th ideal in history. Shallon, the un-deceivable, Testament's Pattern the Twinblade! Master of Light, Shade, and Soul.

Great to have you. Now on to Reconing you must go. A Steelheart you will need.

I continued to maintain my booth in the market while I worked on my shop expansion. I thought about what Ander and his group might want from me. Did he really think I was having items and materials smuggled in? Was Ander a means of gathering intelligence on the Ghostbloods or was he just a local underworld leader? I knew he was in some kind of covert leadership position. Other merchants seemed to be surprised that I returned unharmed. I wondered how Ander had killed all those after me? I had held myself apart from the other merchants to avoid inadvertently revealing to much about myself. It seemed that if I was to get answers; I needed to expand my circle. I was able to remain separated until now, because I was obviously busy establishing myself. I also had to consider that because I was an outsider I might never fully fit in or be accepted. While I sat pondering my situation in my booth I cut and tailored the fabric into simple, and durable clothing. I was making a long coat like a duster when Jansen, a merchant a few stalls down, approached me. He looked at what I was sewing and said, "that's starting to take shape; is that some kind of coat? I ain't never seen any coat like that before". "Coats like this are common where I come from", I replied. I smiled and said, "I could make you one if you like". "I don't know", Jansen answered, "I think I'll wait and see how it looks on you first". "tother day we'all thought we'd seen tha last of you", he continued. "But then you came back like nothin happened and the didn't return." "Well", I said, "it seems they crossed someone else who interceded on my behalf during our negotiation". "It doesn't look like Kari and his buddies will be a problem from now on." "Did you or any of the others have a problem with them?" He answered, "nothin that a few spheres didn't solve after our first meeting with'em". Nodding I asked, "now that Kari's left, will there be other collectors coming around?" Jansen replied, "Oh yeah, I spect so. Kari was only low level. They's others used for collection too". "Then it sounds to me like we need to get together with some of the others, to discuss forming a cooperative, so we can renegotiate the collectors tariffs." I said.
