  1. There's an abbreviation for that? Why did nobody tell me about this in LG75??? smh I got so tired of typing out "Contribution Crusade" every single time I had to reference the concept. In that case, Archer, I would point out that while Araris is known for sticking to his guns, he's also known for CCing. Like in LG75 where I was super sus of him for it so ig I don't blame you? Edit: @Illwei wait he does? Okay nevermind I take that back then : P I considered checking on your postcount graph to see if I was actually right about Ash being less active, but then decided it wasn't worth the effort.
  2. Except Az @Archer Szeth only had the most votes when they were tied with me and Dannex. e!Vonne could easily have felt that e!Szeth was safe and that the vote was worth it for distancing. Ash hasn't been... all that... active? Besides which, the only game I can remember him not flying under the radar was MR47, when he logicked his way into a pool with 3/4 of the elim team in it using just the C1 kill. Vonne is new to this forum and new to forum mafia with complex mechanics, so feeler questions without providing super solid opinions makes sense imo. When has Pizza ever said anything of substance? Books being inactive/behind is nothing new. Yeah what is up with you saying Ash is both flying under the radar and playing high visibility? Szeth has not only been sheeping the consensus, but they haven't been voting with it, just supporting it verbally. (this one's an addition, not a criticism I agree with you here). I was relieved to hop on the Randby train because I was worried I would die, and I had moral objections to the previous alternatives. I'd have self-presed on one of them eventually if it came to that, but I didn't want to, so it was nice to see an option who wasn't new and who doesn't usually die super early. What does CC mean? What are the notable quotables for?
  3. Honestly, not great right now. Last turn, you said you had gut on Araris but never voted him, then said you were suspicious of me too after a reread for nothing more than being cheerful and joking (both of which are just... me things. Most recent example would be LG75, where Araris himself said I was too cheerful. I was village : P). All that's fine, since you're new and wouldn't know--and in fact you even asked if that was normal for me--but after someone else said it was normal, you responded with a vote on me anyway. So like, you had two main suspects, me and Araris. Your suspicion on both of us was based mostly on tone. You'd been told that my tone was normal for me, while a couple of people had expressed that Araris's tone was off for him. And yet you voted me. Why? You also said you supported the Randby exe, but didn't vote for Randby--which feels to me almost like you knew how she was going to flip, and didn't want to tie yourself to a misexe--and you didn't want you or Dannex to be voted off because of activity, but were just fine with voting me even though I'm more active than either of you. Your explanation was that I was suspicious, because I was quick to accuse Araris and I was trying to cover up my attack. The cover-up thing was, I assume, the cheerfulness--which, again, you'd already been told was normal for me. That's not me trying to cover up an attack, that's just how I talk sometimes (well, how I type anyway). I can get serious but I'm not always like that. And you thought Araris was sus too, at the beginning, so I don't see why you would think it's so weird that I did. Basically, I'm definitely biased on this but your suspicion of me and vote on me last cycle looked really weird to me, especially given that Araris was also an option and you chose to ignore him despite his being your original top suspect. It looks a little to me like an attempt to distance from a teammate without actually voting them, or an attempt to do exactly what you accused me of doing with Araris--attack him but cover it up. Also just tone in general, ig. I'd be willing to give you the benefit of the doubt on that one, since you're new to this site and to forum mafia in general, but the other stuff makes me less inclined to do that. ...I did not intend for this to be so long. Sorry. I may or may not be taking my headache out on you and my computer keyboard : P
  4. And same goes for me with Illwei ig. If either of Mat/Illwei flips elim, I'll trust the other more.
  5. There's no reason e!Mat couldn't scan v!me/v!Illwei's PM to get information, and then state in-thread that the reason he did it was to scan for e/e pairs. I don't follow why we'd all have to be elim for that to work >> (in case it's not obvious, this is not helping my read on Szeth : P)
  6. I feel awful 'cause I just got the second COVID shot and it has annoying side effects smh I won't still have just gotten the second COVID shot by the time Champs rolls around : P
  7. In my case it was more security against the votes shifting back to me than anything :P. So no, I don't regret it. Sorry, I would provide more input but I'm not feeling very well and just the thought of backreading D1 would give me a headache if I didn't already have one : P
  8. Adding onto this: keep in mind the while controversial!Dannex is nearly always v!Dannex, he has had non-controversial village games (like LG74, for example), so saying he seems elim because he's not proposing some crazy plan with mechanics or asking vanillas to claim or whatever doesn't really hold up under closer inspection.
  9. ...oh, guess I wasn't clear: I don't have an elim read on you this game. At all. Maybe that should worry me? But then I was right about you being vil in the QF so eh.
  10. Yeah, but as with TUO in the QF, the lack of actual resistance makes me worry that we're wayyyy off. We're 20 minutes to the end of the cycle, so unless the entire team is inactive... but idk who to switch to. Araris or Szeth, ig, but Szeth is new and nobody was willing to vote Araris before... yeah. Ninja'd by Illwei saying the same thing, but also why me?
  11. >> what do you call my read/vote on Araris? But other than that, it's not like much has happened this cycle that's really AI. And it's not like I normally give super solid reads D1 anyway well except when I thunderdome you but y'know I'm trying to avoid that : P Illwei-Mat mindmeld strikes again? *blink* wait why Mat? Wasn't Mat the first one to call Dannex out for that? Probably a bit late to mention this but yeah, so do I : P I didn't/don't want to vote them 'cause they're new and benefit-of-the-doubt-about-meta-and-stuff and all that, but there was some specific post they made that felt weird to me. though it may have been the one where they were sus of me... I might be somewhat biased in that case oof *rubs eyes* I didn't read that argument what was it again? (sorry, I'm kinda distracted by reviewing for tests and binge-watching three different Netflix shows so this is not my most involved game :P) What are you thinking my attitude about PMs was in the QF? I recall it being "PMs are the most useful to us with regards to knowing who has them with whom, because we can find not e/e pairs that way". I barely used the PMs for anything; neither of the ones I had made it past page 2.
  12. How am I suspicious again? I don't feel like scrolling back through 7 pages to find what you said : P
  13. I didn't figure it was you, but someone else has upvoted almost every post I've made this game lol
  14. VC: Randby (4): Ash, Illwei, Araris, Quinn Quinn (2): Szeth, Jondesu Illwei (1): Archer Szeth (1): Vonne Okay cool so Randby. I have no serious moral objections to this and it's better than me dying so I'll take it : P Also seriously who the heck is upvoting all my posts??? xD (I mean, I'm not complaining or anything, don't get me wrong, but I am curious...)
  15. Okay quick question who keeps upvoting everything I post?
  16. Okay, first of all a current VC: Dannex (3): Araris, Illwei, Matrim Randby (1): Ash Araris (1): Quinn Quinn (2): Szeth, Jondesu Illwei (1): Archer Szeth (2): Azmine, Vonne *sigh* Araris. I don't know who to vote for here, since the three leading options right now are myself, a new player, and Dannex (on whom I have no read whatsoever and who I'd feel bad voting off D1 again). Randby hasn't said anything, and Illwei... well, we all know what happens when I vote Illwei. I don't have any reason to believe she's elim, and I'd rather not start a thunderdome. Nobody else has really stood out to me, except for Araris, for whom nobody else seems will to vote. Oh, yeah, @Archer and @Jondesu, I thought I'd explained this clearly the first time I said it, but the whole few-to-no-PMs thing has been on my mind for a while and it will continue to be a thing in future games. I just don't like playing in PMs as much as I like playing in-thread, and I get pocketed far more often in PMs than in-thread. Add onto that the fact that "private" messages aren't necessarily private in this game, and I don't really see why I should bother. And finally: I'm getting my second COVID shot today, and I have no idea how or how badly I'll react to it, so I may be less active for the next day or two depending on how that goes.
  17. v!you is quippish? Huh, I hadn't noticed. Which probably means you're elim this game, right? Wait what does quippish even mean?
  18. except that I guessed the rest of your team by assuming you were elim, so clearly you didn't distance all that well... I convinced Liranil! That counts, right?
  19. You had a gut read. I was the one who found evidence(ish) to substantiate it.
  20. No, no, it's even worse than that: you tend not to get suspected until you're mechanically confirmed as the person who submitted the kill
  21. You can't communicate with other living players except in official PMs that include the GM (game master), co-GM, and IM (impartial moderator). For reference, they are @Elandera, @The Unknown Order, and @Devotary of Spontaneity respectively. You can't directly quote from any PMs, and if you're in the elim doc you can't directly quote from that either. However, you can paraphrase what someone said to you in a PM, and you're allowed to reveal the role that the GM gave you, just so long as you don't give the exact phrasing used. In my third game as elim (our word for mafia/scum), I tried to save our vote-manipper by directing the vote onto another teammate of mine, who was vanilla and the only other person under suspicion at the time. Unfortunately, the vote-manipper got voted off the next turn, at which point it became pretty clear to everyone that I was an elim and had tried to save a teammate with a role in favor of a teammate without one. We still won that game, though. In my second game as elim, I got voted off during the first Day for... no apparent reason. I would have survived, but my teammates had already interfered enough to tie themselves permanently to me and they couldn't risk doing so anymore. After I died, it led to a domino-chain of my other teammates being found. We lost that game. In my fourth and most recent game as elim (by recent I mean seven games ago : P), my teammates and I tied ourselves together too strongly--partly out of necessity because one of us was the main exe target during the first cycle. I died C3 because people began to suspect me for tunneling so hard on Dannex (which I'd been doing to try to redirect attention off of the teammate who'd been the main exe target C1 but survived due to her role), and then backing off suddenly. We actually could have won that game, but the last elim standing decided to gamethrow (edit: to be clear, not a thing that's generally acceptable in SE, and it wasn't in that game either. But it happened, and we lost because of it :P).
