I'm going under the knife for shoulder surgery November 16th at 1pm! I don't know when RoW will arrive from Wellers, but here's hoping I'm lucid enough to start reading RoW immediately and until I have to be back at work Thursday!

I like it and can definitely see it happening. It's not the worst thing that could happen. Would terrifies me is Yelig merging with Nale. The Heralds did the same thing, swapped each others blades to practice with them, so he knows all surges, and he's got to be better with them than Joe six pack stone shaman. One thing I'll say about training in all 10 surges is remember they are different depending on order ( ex. Bondsmith adhesion vs windrunner).

Lately, I've only had some cheddar, worked into my hamburger patties. I've got some handcrafted Swiss in the fridge. Trying to lose weight so I had to cut back to 2-3 pounds of cheese a week. Some of my favorite cheeses are cheddar, mimolette, manchego, pecorino Romano, and grana padano.

Harmony and scadrial as the big bad would be heartbreaking. Personally I'm hoping the final whatever is the reason adonalsium was shattered in the first place. Whether that's an opposition force or a bad outcome that wasn't completely avoided by the shattering, I want to see that.

The paintings on the Oathbringer end pages are in world. I think the icons are too, I always thought them to be like the carved busts adorning every Vorin temple? Could be wrong though. Assuming the Pailah icon is semi accurate, could be a couple things. It's not terribly difficult to make yourself older than you appear. Wayne did it, to great effect. After all. Also, no Honorblade, but she could have bonded a truthwatcher spren. They have the illumination surge and she was the patron of that order (though Heralds apparently swapped their blades to practice. So she probably has experience with all ten surges).

People have already mentioned the reversed virtues, and we've seen from Nale, that other Heralds have convinced themselves that a Desolation can't come, so open season on destroying info mankind will never need again. She might also be trying to prevent surgebinding if she talked to Ishar. I wonder if her and Jezriens appearance is just a matter of abuse and neglect, or just inhabiting the same body for 4500 years, or something deeper, i.e. perception and identity. She looks pretty young in her icon.

Respectfully disagree slightly with some of the above. Mainly, I think you should read Warbreaker next, preferably before RoW. Nalthis (Warbreaker's setting) has the most connections to Roshar, imo, and slight spoiler A lot of info also comes from "Words of Brandon" aka stuff he says in chats and at signings. That is all compiled and available i. The Arcanum section. Just be very careful until you've read all cosmere works.

I feel the strongest affinity for Windrunners and Stonewards (though the quiz said I'm a strong match for Truthwatcher and Skybreaker as well). That said, I'm most intrigued by Willshapers and Dustbringers. Part of that is the lack of onscreen time, and part of that is their Heralds. It's hilarious how dustbringers are all wawa releaser, and Kelak was all, the Dustbringers have done their job well. I like to pretend that Willshapers could use Transportation to constantly translocate in battle, even though, im sure it doesn't work that way.
