  1. @GhanderflaffleSo your turn now
  2. Oh, I could certainly be off as well. I tried to step through each post again to make sure since there were a couple points of confusion.
  3. Actually I think you have 5 coins now. I think you forgot that your foreign exchange actually went through (resulting in 4 coins) since I didn't block it before Hentient's turn. BTW, I think this is the current state of the game as of Windrunner Supreme's turn. Everyone please review at least your own to verify. Shard of Reading: Coins 5, Cards 2 Hentient: Coins 2, Cards 2 HoidWasTaken: Coins 8, Cards 2 The Windrunner Supreme: Coins 3, Cards 1 (dead Ambassador) Ghanderflaffle: Coins 5, Cards 2 Aspiring Writer: Coins 5, Cards 2 Whysper: Coins 3, Cards 2 Somebody from Sel: Coins 4, Cards 1 (dead Contessa) Oh, and I hope someone can steal from HoidWasTaken. They have enough for a coup now.
  4. Wait no, he would only get a new card if he was challenged and won.
  5. He did actually say it was Captain when blocking.
  6. Hmm interesting. Thanks for providing that info. Though for me personally, I'm not sure that's enough to make me vote for Fadran, unless perhaps there's no one else. I find a lot of the info and actions from Turtle weird and confusing. So even though she flipped Villager, I'm not sure how accurate her info is. I'm willing to trust in this part because I've been leaning Gears as Villager already.
  7. It's not necessary to give away all info, especially names. But surely more info can be provided than simply PM reasons. Like I heard from a RBer that X was roleblocked. Or through PMs with 3 people it was discovered that Fadran was lying about so and so.
  8. Hmmmm, I might have to assassinate you for that....
  9. Well, often we have lots of suspicions on Elims but aren't confident. But people often more likely have a couple strong Villager reads. So just need to know who people think is a strong Village read and then see if we have a consensus.
  10. I was just thinking that perhaps we should all vote on someone we deem most likely Villager and then ask RBers to claim to them and give their RB info. Some new people might be very worried about judging who to trust, so doing this as a group might help. Also, we'll know for sure who the RB spokeperson is, and if something happens to the RBers soon afterwards, we have someone we can scrutinize as likely Elim. If the Elims want to play some kind of trickery and wait a few cycles before killing RBers so the RB spokesperson doesn't look as suspicious, that's actually just as well because then the RBers live longer and help out more.
  11. Ahh okay, thanks. Wow, didn't realize so few in the deck. Interesting.
  12. BTW, does it get shuffled into the deck, or goes to the bottom, or what? I can't remember what we did, and I couldn't find it in the OP. Thanks! Anyway, for my turn... As Duke, tax to get 3 coins. Coins: 5 Cards: 2 @Somebody from SelYour turn
  13. Actually it's more likely that most Elims are NOT on the wagon since they would already know it will result in a ML. Perhaps 1 or 2 jumped on anyway just for show. But I think most would avoid it.
  14. Just getting around to finally reading through and commenting further on this aftermath. Please forgive me. Ahh yes, I think this was a good idea. I guess this makes for a reason to use the Hema doc. Though I avoided saying much in the doc because I felt that it was too risky and really helped the Elims more. Though if I had known ahead of time that there were definitely Villager Feru Hemas, I might have seen a reason to use the doc. Yeah, I could see how this would be a good change. Either that or a limited number of charges. I was actually surprised that they had unlimited use. Perhaps give them 1 charge of every ability, including 1-charge kill like Mistborns. And they can only use 1 per cycle. Yeah, this was something I've debated with myself. I just think it can be such an advantage for town to get some trusted communication going between good players. So a bit of a risk seems worth it. Though I was careful to only choose to reveal things to people I absolutely felt safe about. Though I took a bit of a leap of faith on Gears at the beginning based solely on good vibes. Unfortunately he got killed off right away. Awww thanks for that. Yes, I certainly had fun and definitely plan to continue playing here. Ahh unfortunately that's kind of my personality. I've played a few games (10 across multiple sites since August this year), so yes, I know the basics of what to do. However, I'm still hesitant to push for a lynch because I often don't feel confident in my reads yet. This is definitely something I need to work on. Hmm, no, just one where he was among 3 or 4 that you thought might be the last. But even so, I don't know that would have helped me much since I was reading him as Villager. And I wasn't entirely certain that it was definitely the case that one of the Hemas had to be Elim. Plus I would have suspected Condensation more as the one Elim Hema over Araris.
  15. (also you misspelled definitely) Well no, perhaps he is saying that the person is being defiant in their knowledge.
  16. It's been awhile, so guessing no one wants to challenge Ghander. I'm a little tempted because I'm not sure how likely it is that this many other people have Dukes at the start, but I'll wait and see. @Aspiring WriterLooks like your turn next.
  17. Thanks for taking the time to put together that summary of what happened. I was debating whether to switch my vote from Gears to Turtle, but now I feel confident enough to do so. eltruT
  18. @GhanderflaffleLooks like you can take your turn now
  19. Aman, I think you are someone I need to work out things with early. I still have suspicions about you, but I'm trying to work through some of your explanations for your actions. If you are indeed a Villager, I want to find that out and keep you around to help us. I considered just PMing you to discuss things, but it's probably not good to play the game mostly through PMs. Anyway, since the votes ended up with more on Illwei at EoD, the reasonings about how you didn't vote Illwei to self-preserve and that no one tried to save you don't really apply. Yes, I understand you may have been at risk at one point, but there was still time for you or an Elim partner to hop back on Illwei if you were at risk at the very end. And an Elim would look for an excuse to stay off the Villager wagon, which the switch to Bearer and then to no one could be. I also have to admit I don't like how I'm seeing you use heavily-loaded words like "fearmongering" and I think previously "nefarious". These seem like ways to sway people into thinking the extremes about a discussion. Like anyone expressing suspicion of you for previous games is fearmongering rather than simply using meta about you, which is common. I mean, I do also get your viewpoint. Just because you've been good playing as Elim, it doesn't mean people should automatically try to get rid of you. That's no fun. So I still have you as an Elim lean, but I want to give you a chance yet.
  20. Ahh okay, I missed that. Thanks!
  21. BTW, do we need to specify anything about which card we are using. Like if claiming Duke, do we have to say if it is the left or right card? I think when I played before, we did because it affects which card you would lose if you were faking. Or are we just randomly losing a card? Same goes for assassination and coup. Does the person pick which card they target? Because you might want to remove a particular card that the person was using, like a claimed Duke.
  22. But the challenge does need to be resolved first before they give their action, correct?
  23. Okay, I find this whole post by Aman suspicious. This looks like an attempt to pocket TJ and then shade 3 other players for seeming slightly off? And Illwei and I are fairly active players, so possibly an attempt to get rid of us early or at least make people suspect us throughout the game. Amanuensis
  24. Yeah, but the Lord Ruler has to choose a faction by end of C3, and it is hard to judge which side is winning that early. Most games will have Villagers getting ML'd the first few days. And even if Elims are hit early, I've seen those games still result in a Village loss. So really TLR just needs to choose based on how they want to play this. Do they want to be useless and just slide by hopefully? Or do they want to have a possibly big impact and have the thrill of balancing between helping yet staying low-key so Elims don't target them? And really, like I was saying earlier, if they can establish some early communication with people they trust, they can stay low-key yet pass info and also have those trusted players keep them from getting lynched by Villagers. Haha, Illwei is always giving me odd vibes. But that's become my base point for her. Then just have to check if anything gives me extra odd vibes or extra good vibes. Oh this is helpful to know.
