You can pay 1 coin to change your Allegiance or 2 coins to change someone else's Allegiance. The coins for changing Allegiance go into the [ TR ] Treasure Reserve. Someone can later use Embezzle to take all the coins from the [ TR ]. This cannot be blocked.

Haha, partially. Though you aren't the only one that gets the pronouns mixed up. I see it happen often enough. I actually got inspired to do it when I recently saw a Forum Mafia (like SE) game in signups on another site. I saw that the host had done this and wondered why I've never seen anyone do this before. It seems like a great thing to do to help all the players.

On my home site, they ask that people first co-host one before hosting one. That way the person gets an idea of what is required without being the main person responsible for setting up everything. Not sure if there's any guideline like that here.

Either way is fine for me. Though maybe go ahead and keep doing this just to make sure everyone knows what's the expected result before I get around to posting the updated game state. Ahhh yes, when I randed the order and did the list, I did think how odd that was. Though you got 2nd place last game, so turn order doesn't quite matter. BTW, I want to make sure everyone saw the Game Play section of the OP. In particular, if all players are not of the same Allegiance, then play will continue only if the next player is the opposite Allegiance or after a player from the opposite Allegiance has acknowledged that they accept the action. We need to make sure that if two players in a row have the same Allegiance, they don't just allow the first player to get away with dubious claims by quickly taking their turn next.

Well, he's currently the same Allegiance as you, so not sure it was a good idea. But you can indeed challenge someone even of the same Allegiance. I need to work on some stuff right now. I also want to finish up putting rules into the thread. I'll probably rand the game and start it in about 5-6 hours from now. Probably most people will be asleep, but people can see what they have in the morning and maybe things can slowly start up. And no, that's fine. No trophy needed. Haha, but thanks for asking. Though if we do end up continuing Coup games, maybe we'll want to start a thread with a history of winners for each game.

Ahhh yes, it's always a great time to claim at the beginning. Risky to challenge it and possibly lose a card and then be crippled the rest of the game or even eliminated right away. Though it was interesting one person actually challenged correctly early on.

Yeah, definitely. The info and the possibility to switch is very valuable. And pretty much no one bothers to challenge the exchange because it doesn't seem worth the risk.

Haha, no. I'm not going down without a fight. I knew you didn't have a Captain or Ambassador because I've checked all the cards in the deck. I just needed that last verification that Hentient did have the other Captain remaining. Anyway, nice game! It was certainly nerve-racking. I know that Hentient was trying to look less threatening at the end there with not stealing and also the foreign aid. That's what I was doing as well. Haha. I needed to keep below 3 coins so you wouldn't worry about assassination.
