  1. Lift will become the Vessel of Cultivation, and become a weird aunt to every single being on Roshar. ("Thou shalt worship thine godly aunt with pancakes aplenty. Old men with tight butts are nigh to be trusted. Lift Wuz Heer. So let it be written as the words of your god.")
  2. "Well... kind of, yeah. It's probably a little closer to metal-assisted jumping, but kind of," Twice replied.
  3. "Hi, there," He replied to Zola, then turned to Eryn. "And no. I hardly know anything about it in the first place, Meens knowing about it is new to me."
  4. Twice grinned again. "I see you've figured me out. I, by nature, am a Steelrunner. I can move... very fast. However fast you're thinking I can go, chances are, I can go faster. You see, I happen to also be a coinshot." No point trying to hide his abilities now. "You've heard of compounding, correct?"
  5. "Meens called me here. Long trip. Probably to work with those thugs you killed. Well, not thugs, I guess. I arrived a while ago. Observed you guys." He grinned. "Not in a creepy way, of course. Figured from all the powers and the... Strange, to say the least, blindfold positioning, about your friend. I'm Twice. You?" Hopefully, Twice's fast manner of speaking wouldn't throw anyone off too badly.
  6. Twice grinned. "He has that effect on people, doesn't he?" "Gold compounder, huh? Not bad. But then, I got a glance at your friend over there," Twice said. "Wasing the having the eyes of steel, eh?" Twice winked. "That might've helped a bit. Speaking of your... friend, you might want to disguise the fact that she's got... lots of powers."
  7. A voice, on the verge of sounding mocking, calls out to the group. "Hello! Have you, by chance, seen a little rat called Meens?" Twice leaned against a wall, having arrived at the mine a few minutes ago. "I have a present for him! In the form of a small piece of metal. Preferably puncturing an important organ, but I'm not picky". He walked over to the group. A child, a Terriswoman, and someone else. "Hm, you don't look so good," He said to the Terriswoman. "Panic?" He waved at the other two, wiggling his fingers. "I assume Meens tried to kill you? Before I even got here, too. Luckily for you, that means we can all deal with him together, rather than you all dying a swift death. How's it going?" He asked, putting his hand out to the man. Twice was Tapping a little bit of speed, making him slightly faster than he would normally be.
  8. I agree with this; I'm pretty sure it's black because of Ruin.
  9. Mafia scheming abilities, Activate!
  10. I'll probably join this after it gets going a little
  11. (looking at Roleplay count) 17...18...19... Alright, I guess I'm joining this then... half of those are dead anyway...
  12. So, this is basaed off of a thread I made earlier, in which I explained how I gave everyone in Mistborn a french accent for a chapter. I figure this has probably been done before, but I couldn't find the thread, so here it is. These are what I imagine cosmere accents as Horneater (Unkalaki)- Sort of Russian (This mainly comes from the wording that Rock usually uses) Duladen/Herdazian- I imagine these both as a sort of Spanish accent, with lots of clipped endings. Bavlander- Scottish/ Cabbie driver brittish (You know the one.) I can't think of more right now, I'll probably think of more later, but a lot of them are more subtle. (Teoish- Bold speech| Rosharan westerner- softer speech| Veden- loud, similar to Herdazian, but rougher) I was wondering what accents, if any, other people on the shard give various cosmere nationalities.
  13. So I was reading Mistborn, and I just, reading some names (Demoux, Kelsier, the name of those caves with the rebellion), figured, you know what? until the end of this chapter, I'm giving everyone a french accent. I don't know if anyone else has done something like that, but I figured, 'Sure they have. This is the seventeenth shard, after all.'
  14. I mean, it could make it a worse story, but so far, you've done a good job at it. So... I guess just keep doin' what you're doin'
  15. Tacitus

    Harmony

I think the problem is, he can't Preserve or Ruin something individually, because that wouldn't be Harmonious. So he can't Ruin something unless he also Preserves it, which negates the whole thing. (Also, yeah, this should probably go to the Mistborn section.)
  16. That is true. Probably best to tread very carefully with that vein of stuff.
  17. I think it's a shared opinion that it doesn't suck. I'd quite like to see more.
  18. "Alright. What..." Alth paused, "What exactly are... is... 'the job' right now? Money?" He looked around. "I suppose it would be better discussed indoors..."
  19. "Maybe your question was vague," Alth said. Now he was getting into the swing of things, "But morality won't be a problem. Either mine or yours."
  20. Alth gave a slight smile. "I'm not some Windrunner. And even as a Skybreaker, I follow the law as I believe it should be, not as it is. I'm something of an outlier among them". He began drifting down with careful lashings.
  21. Alth sort of stumbled for a moment, but then brought up his steel. He summoned his shardblade, rising a foot or two in the air with precise Lashings, and scorched the ground below him with Division. They couldn't be allowed to see him as weak. "Althara Yuris," He said. A fake name. Smoke rose from his shardblade, a trick he'd learned with Division, exploiting its indestructible nature.
  22. We're... Going to ignore that. *Snap* Boom. Forgotten. We're ignoring it now.
