  1. Caden's hands were clenched together, with his chin resting on them as he watched the room with a scowl. While only sparing a glance at the betrothed of the king, he talked as he continued to watch the dancing floor. "Did you want to hear the report of my actions now or later sire?"
  2. Caden made his way to the King's table and sat down in his typical spot, still mask-less and looking incredibly frustrated. His only acknowledgement of the King was a short and curt bow of his head. @Channelknight Fadran
  3. Caden was wound up and ready to snap until he turned and saw the Raveness, which caused his face to pale to the color of his shoulder pauldrons. He felt his anger welling up in him, but he he only opened and closed his mouth, seemingly lost for words. He shouted wordlessly and turned away from the group, striding towards the King's table, fuming and grumbling all the way.
  4. Caden nodded for a moment, looking smug once again before stopping suddenly when the King's Lady started laughing. Realization dawned on his face, and he grabbed the hilt of his blade. "If you want a fight, then I can give you one."
  5. Caden snarled as he turned to see that it was Jassir, swiping aside his cape as he faced the Court Fool. "I am no 'dog!' I command armies that force enemies of the king to tremble in fear!" He took a breath, "if you weren't a jester, I would have killed you long ago. Go pester someone who doesn't want you dead yet."
  6. Caden chuckled again, looking smugly at Seraphina. "How long is it before your father becomes a traitor King's Lady? How long will it be before I'm sent to kill him? Hopefully not long, I quite enjoyed killing the last one." Caden turned towards the King's table, flaring his cape behind him in an attempt to leave before Seraphina could respond.
  7. Caden's eyes darted from Maverick to the King's Lady, and he then laughed. "I've already enjoyed this more than any other pathetic ball. Tell me, who will strike first and brand themselves as the traitor to the crown?"
  8. Caden gripped his blade, and looked as if he wanted to cut Maverick off before the woman spoke. Caden sneered, "a king's lady? I would've suspected nothing less from someone like you. Tell me, you plan on branding yourself a traitor tonight?"
  9. Caden stood his straight in an attempt to loom over the man and laughed a malevolent chuckle, "I'd rather beat you like the filth you are than endure another moment of this dull event." He reached for his side arm before looking towards the king's table and he then growled in annoyance, "what is your name and title, boy?"
  10. Caden clenched his fists at the insult, glaring at anyone who would make eye contact. "Filth! If you want to die protecting this 'harmless woman,' then make it quick. If not, return to your muddy hole of a home and die like the insect you are. The I can go back to being bored out of my skull like the rest of these cotton-heads."
  11. Caden's chair screeched as he stood up, pushing it behind him. "Aggression is for dealing with fools like you who have no backbone! If you want to protect your 'propriety' so badly, then do it, or hold your tongue boy."
  12. Caden waved the man away."Propriety, Bah! You want me to leave this woman alone, then make her leave my table."
  13. Caden turned to glare at this newcomer, "and who are you to command me?! I am the commander of the greatest army this kingdom has ever seen!"
  14. Caden growled, but turned away from the woman. He felt the urge to strike her, but that would be very unseemly for such a staunch ally of the king. He just had to wait a n entire hour before he could leave this infernal gathering of snakes and weasels. The least this woman could do was leave him be for that time. Caden glared at any who looked at him, and he growled at those who got too close for his comfort. Fortunately, the woman didn't seem to be interested in conversation at this moment.
  15. He glared at the woman, "this is my table for whenever I'm not with the king! If you think you can bully me away from my own table, then you are dumber than you look."
  16. "Indeed it is, although it is influenced by many factors. For instance, when one is alone, one will normally feel incredible amounts of fear that they wouldn't experience if they were in a group. I've found that when the one unites their strength with others, they're confidence receives the greatest boost. When I say it that way, it sounds simple, doesn't it? Alone and afraid, or united and fearless."
  17. Caden made a low growl when he noticed that the women didn't move. He refused to speak, or even look at her and chose instead to watch the king's betrothed from this distance. It seemed impossibly easy for such a shy creature as that one to get close to the king, while countless others in this court tried and failed constantly. How many of these people hated her for being able to simply walk and sit at the king's table? Then again, he should actually be at the king's table, but that would mean that he'd need to put on one of those masks. Caden nearly jumped when he heard paper rustle next to him, he looked over and realized that the woman was still there. He swiped his hand at the woman, purposefully missing her, "Bah! Why must so many be insufferable!"
  18. Still waiting for the Master Chief and Doom Slayer drop. If Minecraft can happen, then it's on the table.
  19. After sizing up this princess who was betrothed to the king, Caden turned back to the subject of his table. When he saw that the person was still there, he clenched his fists and grit his teeth. He walked towards the table and decided to just sit down, whoever she was, that's probably be more than enough to get to her leave with her book and snacks. Caden's footsteps made distinct and piercing metal clinks as he approached the table, pulled out a chair, and sat down without saying a word. Caden himself was a tall and well built man, who only accentuated these features by wearing bone white shoulder pauldrons that made him look larger and more imposing. The rest of his clothes were of a stylized military cut that while it made it clear he was a noble, it still made it clear that he was a military man. @Random Bystander
  20. Caden returned to the ballroom with a mask on, and he had left his bodyguards behind because of what the king said. He started to walk through the crowd, heading to the table that he always sat at. When he arrived at the table, he saw that it was empty as it should have been. Just as he was about to approach and sit down, hopefully scaring off the trespasser, he saw someone approaching the King. He moved into a better position to watch.
  21. Now I'm not typically a metal kinda guy (ignore my Sabaton addiction, that's the exception, not the law), but I'm willing to give it a shot.
  22. Now I doubt that many others will know what I'm talking about, but I'd love to see the "Birthright: The Gorgon's Alliance," either remade, or completely rebooted. It was a fun strategical game that I remember fondly from my childhood, as I've always been a more strategical gamer when it comes to my personal preference. The game itself was about a succession crisis in a fantasy world where a The Gorgon was gathering an alliance to take over the realm for himself. You took command of a small fiefdom in the realm and had to grow your power-base through conquest, diplomacy, economic development, and even through a first person questing game mode. You could choose to play nearly any fiefdom to play as, and you could even side with the Gorgon's Alliance if my memory serves correct, although the game was designed to have the player fight against the Gorgon and eventually kill it. I never finished the game, but it had pretty decent gameplay for when it was released, with a turn based strategic mode for the large map, and a real time tactical battlefield for combat with you armies, and even a 3D environment for you to quest in. Given that this game came out in 1996, I believe that this is a pretty impressive set-up. I mean, it's definitely dated now, but it was fun to play when I was younger.
