  1. Jack's frown deepened. " Bandar... this isn't a simple jo like your previous ones. Those people who you noticed watching you, they probably wanted Red dead. And now you by association."
  2. From what I heard, genderfluids can change how they perceive themselves in as little as a few weeks and a month to as long as years, so I assumed that would be the same for identity when it comes to the magic system.
  3. Jack frowned. "What exactly have you dealt with in your previous jobs?"
  4. Jack grunted. "You were a mercenary, right? Who did you work for?"
  5. okay, by elaborate, I meant explain everything so I can help you.
  6. Jack grunted. "I keep track of everything here. Been working with Red almost from the beginning." Jack eyed him. "How did you two meet exactly?"
  7. Red was sleep, Elene next to her. Jack was reading something in his book with a scowl.
  8. I know it's not multiple personalities, but from how my friend explained it, how they perceive themselves can change.
  9. Chapter 16 of SotU is released, and uh, @Somebody from Sel and everyone else that reads them, can you please leave your thoughts on the chapters, even if it's to say 'yep' or 'nope'? I kinda want some feedback here and not getting much. It like when you push on a large box expecting it to be heavy when it's empty and you use way too much strength and throw it across the room, it feels weird.

Look it up. Sorry I don't have time, I just joined SE and I'm still figuring it out.

  10. @Somebody from Sel thank you very much. @Omi the Counselor Wonderful idea, but it seems to be dying. Maybe you should try giving us a direction to think about?
  11. It's a fantasy thing. It related to the topic of the thread. So I don't think it was a bad plug. Also, thank you.
  12. That was more to goop than you, I just quoted you cuz you tagged me. Also, nearly forgot, I made a fantasy topic yesterday, check it out. Yes this is dealing with fantasy, I swear, read the post.
  13. Maybe you hit the message cooldown? You can't send posts within fifteen seconds of each there I believe and while it used to say how long before you can send, it seems to still be a message cooldown thing, as I just keep clicking till it sends.
  14. Yay. They better. Also another flex
  15. I will write all the time - Boy is that true I'm technically lying, because I'm a huge procrastinator -Also true But I have to take this oath to join the guild, so... - That is also true I will write all the time -Still true Or try to, anyways -Trying and succeeding! *waves hand* amen? -Maybe we should say hail? Wait, is that connected to Nazis, I forget. Maybe we ake something up? Guess that includes me seeing as i have also done some fanfic, but would my book not be considered fantasy as well as sci-fi? Excuse me, what? Did you just call us filthy? As if there is a clear line between fantasy and sci-fi? Also yes, read my book, it great.
  16. The symbols, they were Aons! The ones on the temple that they needed to press to 'find' the bands! I always wondered what the hell that was, and the only explanation is Aons! Kelsier has encountered Elantrains and through some means learned a bit of it. The way they're described is very reminiscent of Aons! The only thing that makes me hesitant is how Kelsier learned any Aons, but he was very keen about learning things about the Cosmere. Maybe he asked some worldhoppers? What do you all think?!
  17. You;re forgetting one obvious thing- Kelsier used TLR myths. The Bands of Mourning are TLR's bands in myth. He purposefully perpetuated that the bands of mourning were there. He specifically wanted people to think it was TLR
  18. I did not expect people to actually post in this thread. Maybe there can be an option for people that any threads in the spoiler forum to be blacked out? So you can't actually read the text? Maybe?
  19. Well, have fun trying to make sense of these.
  20. Um, so should I make random stuff to shove in the thread, or should I get stuff from my book, and if the latter, should it only be stuff I uploaded or even chapters not yet to be seen? (Speaking of, Chapter Sixteen is coming out today, so I could do something here before releasing it there.)
  21. Medieval warfare is a gem, and I can see why most writers prefer using that when compared to other eras. However, my history teacher did end up making me love even the more modern eras of gun warfare, so I ended up just liking all of them.
  22. First off, there are two aspects of warfare; one is the battle and the other is the war as a whole, like supply lines, tactics, the broader parts, and a good example of a really interesting war with guns is the American Civil War, actually. There were lots of innovations at the time that are really fascinating, and while I admit that gun warfare can be boring, one, the examples you mentioned are seen as strategically stupid and are examples of people with better technology not knowing how to use them properly yet, i.e. submachine guns and the trenches, and two, superpowers can make it interesting again. In fact, I am doing something of that sort in my books. Guns can be interesting in war, it's just easier to do the more general aspects of warfare than the battle part when it comes to doing anything interesting.
  23. Look at the coppermind for more info, but here's a taste. It's everyone. Hoid is not a Scadrain, but he was able to burn Lerasium. The same would go for Harmonium. Not sure about feruchemy.
  24. We don't know because they would blow up. And supposedly, because it's a god metal, anyone could technically burn it.
