“Mmmmmmm.” Sequence hummed frantically. “Mmm. We are not ready yet. Not good. Illumination, we have practiced, yes? Hide yourself. Escape. We cannot fight thisssss...”

“Hold that thought, I think someone beat us to the whole escaping thing...” Fen watched the dragons flying from the stone. Oh no, they’re going to be noticed eventually. Skywings are the fastest fliers... “We need to do something. Now.”

Ara hugged Val. I’m following Minuet to keep her safe, but that means I can’t help my friends here. Why can’t we all just stay together? Ara turned to Minuet. “You sure you want to do this? We want to be with you. You can see that. Are you sure you want to leave?”

“I am. I love all of you, and I hope our paths cross again, but I’m going with Xeus and Minuet. They need my help.”

Ara hugs Cara back. “I hope we meet again. It’s really great being your friend.” Then, she turned to Exodus. “Give me minute. I need to find Gal.” Ara walked up to Gal outside the library. “Um, hi. Minuet’s leaving, and I need to go with to make sure she’s okay. But I wanted you to have these.” She pulls out her three notebooks. “I have it all memorized, anyway, and I thought you may want to keep researching without me.”

“To make sure Minuet’s all right.” Ara smiled. “And because we need to get to know each other better.”

Ara steeled herself. “If you go, I’m coming.” I can’t just let her leave! I have to help her first. Keep her safe from herself.

Ara winced. What Minuet was saying... it was startlingly similar to things Ara had thought about herself. She stepped up. “Minuet, I... we don’t know each other very well yet, but if you’re happier here, I’m willing to take whatever risks to let you stay with us.” Ara trailed off, trying to decide what to say. “And I’d be happier with you here, too.”

“Where are you going? I think the dragon’s gone, now.”

“So, we have some sort of ancient machine we need to power down? Sounds doable. How exactly would we get out of here once that’s done?”

Kaesiel motioned, and a pitcher of water and glasses flew from another room to rest in front of the group. “Now, what can we do about not dying?”

Dawn marched off. Whoever it was she needed to kill next, they would probably be at the assembly if they were of any importance.

Kaesiel stood up. "It seems to me that our options are clear. We find a way off this planet, we solve whatever is causing this planet to be destroyed, or we all die painfully. Well, you die at least. I may be able to survive. This 'Y' person is our best source of information. So, I ask, Y, what do you propose we do?"

One interesting observation is that normal Truthwatcher spren are mist, gaseous water, and corrupted Truthwatcher spren are like snowflakes, solid water. Just a random thought I had.

Okay, quick theory about voidbinding inspired from this episode. What if voidbinding arises from an interaction between Honor’s investiture binding Odium and Odium’s investiture. People with a connection to both Honor and Odium can Voidbind by highjacking that connection and channeling Odium’s investiture through Honor’s connection to him. You are literally binding the void to your will. Even if that’s not true, I really think Voidbinding needs both Honor and Odium connection to work. Thus the “Void” (Odium) and “binding” (Honor). This is why there are ten levels of Voidbinding, not nine. This lines up with possible Voidbinders we know of. The corrupted KR have both Honor and Oduim investiture. Additionally, this could be why Renarin has normal regrowth. The surge is too close to Cultivation for it to work for Voidbinding. Maybe a corrupted Windrunner would have two void surges. Lastly, this also makes sense that Voidbinding originated from the Unmade, according to some sources. If at least some of the Unmade were Bondsmith level spren of Honor before being Unmade, they are now a combination of those two shards. Also, random thing that I just realized could be nothing or could be a major plot twist later on. Adhesion is supposedly “Honor’s truest surge,” but it’s also the “surge of pressure in a vacuum.” Odium is the Void. Void as in a completely empty space. A vacuum. Syl even says he “sucks in emotion.” Like pressure in a vacuum. I could see adhesion being a surge of Odium.

“Oh! Great!” Fen does a little flip in the air. “Well. It’s not hypothetical. We don’t exactly want to be here either.”
