  1. I feel like he didn’t. To me it seems like Axindweth and Venli brought the Voidspren and indoing so Venli brought others. As the return of Void Spren happened Taln came back. I believe we were told that the Heralds return before the Fused in order to prepare but it doesn’t seem like much time between his return and the Everstorm.
  2. Someone on here was thinking Oroden/Gavinor would be Odium’s champion. I couldn’t see Rayse doing that as he’s more a crush the enemy into submission kinda guy. Todd though? I don’t think he’d even question it if it meant he wins.
  3. I definitely hated Lirin post Oathbringer especially after Chapter 1 & 2 in the previews of RoW. It slightly annoyed me how many people still called him being an Edgedancer with the way he treated Kaladin. I found him to be really self centered and outright dismissive of Kaladin. Reading RoW only made my impression of him worse.
  4. This. I assumed she was a Faceless one sent by Autonomy. We know Bavarian & Rayse had worked together in some form that Hoid points out. Makes sense to me that she’d try help free Rayse.
  5. So from memory Rlain appears in the chapter in Part 2 where all of Bridge 4 “get” their Spren. Renarin turns up and they sit together. now Renarin ALSO doesn’t reappear until Part 5. So my headcannon is the two of them sat on the plains waiting for a Spren to choose Rlain. Finally Part 5 started and Renarin said “this is awkward I’ve gotta go” and left Rlain on the Plains. When Kaladin returns to the tower in Part 1 of RoW they remember he exists and go get him from the plains. In all honesty I think we are supposed to assume he trained with Bridge 4 watched Rock get attacked and then came to help out in Thaylenah.
  6. Maybe it’s Adonalsium? We know he was “shattered” but perhaps he/she/it still exists as a Vessel?
  7. I called Navani being Sibling Bondsmith. I had a discussion with someone on here about how many Radiant Spren would come back to create Radiants. That user felt the Deadeye Spren would be angry at humans. I said something along the lines that the Spren had to be complicit in becoming Deadeyes and so if they got revived they would happily bond again. So calling that the Spren chose. Not sure on the end of that theory. I’d also disagreed with people that Lirin deserved a Spren and said he was more selfish and self centered which I think the book proved. however I was wrong on so many more things restares was not Redin Thaidakar was not Palona Rlain did not bond the Nightwatcher Bridge 4 did not all swear the 4th ideal as Kal did exploding into a unit of Shardplate Formless was not Diagonarthis. Although I did call the deadeye cryptic as Shallan’s
  8. I feel like there is something big here. Is it the Sakaar of Roshar? How is this merchant getting so many items? Hoid’s Flute was something Kaladin left behind in the Shattered Plains as were Sigzil’s brushes. But Tien’s horse was back in Sadeas’ homeland. And Rock loves his Razor why would he just get rid of it? I feel there is something big here. And by something big, I mean something minor.
  9. She was seeing Spren all around here and talked to him before she Soulcast. I feel like him responding to her 2nd Oath (I am a murderer) would count as having met though. Pattern says they first met on the ship. But I definitely feel like you would count that initial meeting. But I’m willing to forgive that one as him technically not being in the physical realm. as for the childhood, Pattern specifically picks out Shallan’s room in Urithiru because it looks very similar to the room she murdered her mother in. She then recreates the room using Lightweaving and states her mother’s soul is in the box and he corrects her saying it’s what killed her. He definitely knows specific details about what happened.
  10. So how does this work. I don’t really understand she states at the end that she broke the Oaths originally but that she still has two Shardblades. And that her powers continued to work. We know this as she manages to Soulcast at the end of Way of Kings but that she didn’t meet Pattern until Words of Radiance. She says Kalak said the nature of Deadeyes was odd. But this doesn’t add up with how we experienced Kaladin. We are told that Syl is essentially dead and he loses all his powers he can’t even draw in Stormlight. So how did the end of Way of Kings work for Shallan to let her Soulcast. And Similarly how did Pattern know all her memories? The Shardblades are said to be distinctive to the Spren but Shallan identifies the Patternblade as what killed her mother.
  11. So haven’t read everything in the thread but my theory for Axindweth was a Faceless Immortal from Wax & Wayne. Seemed like Autonomy had sent someone with a Voidspren to release her pal Odium from his binding.
  12. Having just finished I have to say this is by far my least favourite book. I didn’t mind not having much Dalinar since he’ll obviously play a big role next book. But Kaladin and Navani’s Part 3 & 4 parr’s STRETCHED with very little going on. And by only putting the Flashbacks into Part 3 onwards I felt it really hurt the pacing of the story since every 2 chapters you returned to the past. But I have often felt Brandon’s weakness was 2nd books as it’s all setting up the “end” of the trilogy. And Book 3/4 are clearly the 2nd books of the Stormlight “Pentology”? Still Id give it a 6.5 maybe 7 out of 10
  13. Yeah. I just really enjoyed the idea of the information Jasnah could get from seeing them all in person. Especially now that Dalinar has complete control of them. I feel like it’s a gold mine of secrets.
  14. I hated that Odium could come in and just interrupt them especially since Dalinar could form such control over them and show them to Jasnah and Navani. since Odium has now agreed to a Contest of Champions and can’t see Dalinar in person do you guys think that the Visions will make a return? Or do you think we’ve exhausted that storyline?
  15. Not sure if you saw but Brandon just confirmed on Reddit who it is
  16. I will protect even those I hate because they have yet to fill out the requisite protection forms. that being said,Hoid? His Master who abandoned him?
  17. I’ve always felt it has to be Shallan. She seems to be continually going down a darker and darker path
  18. 4am here in Australia. But who could possibly sleep on Dawnshard Day?
  19. I saw someone on here have a theory that Odiums Champion would be Oroden so Kaladin would have to kill his younger brother and not be able to. the way that reads to me, makes it think that may be true....
  20. I think we have to have a capture the Fused plan become more apparent in this book if only because of Lezian. in novels if an enemy is repeatedly doing something and being rebuffed then they eventually become a bit of a joke and are no longer taken seriously. Lezian has sworn above all else that he’ll kill Kaladin and I expect to see him try this book. But say Kaladin beats him (which he almost surely will to make it to book 5) then does Lezian try again? Nope so I definitely think they’ll be able to modify the Gavilar sphere to a point where they can capture Fused so that Lezian stops pursuing.
  21. I was thinking with Kaladin & Lift that perhaps it would be on par with One Piece Awakening of Devil Fruits and he could make everything super sticky or super slippery but otherwise I’m kind of lost on what any of them could be.
  22. I think we all like to believe they are sitting and discussing Cosmere related information. M but in my head they are sitting in rooms together coming up with hilarious insults for the high princes
  23. The ones I’ve seen are: Cord getting her shardplate The soul caster cache Lopen almost dying and Kaladin freezing up (potentially) which all feel like huge spoilers to me.
  24. If I remember correctly this was noticed and mentioned to Brandon in the Stormlight subreddit. I feel like I remember him saying it would be changed. The preview chapters we are reading aren’t the final version I believe.
  25. He’s pretty far gone from them now. I also don’t think there will be any Honorspren who would join with the Fused. Most of the Spren seem to be against them with the exception of the Highspren (Skybreaker Spren that may be entirely different and I’m just having a mind blank)
