  1. Way of Kings. What is your favorite non-fantasy genre of writing?
  2. Cool symbol thingamajig. Honestly, it's kind of cool to look at, I'll give it a 10/10.
  3. Sounds good, I'll do that tomorrow.
  4. I also have Google Docs, but I'm not entirely comfortable sharing it with strangers (no offense at all, everyone here seems completely awesome, but... internet safety, y'know).
  5. If you'd like, I can send you the current draft on Pages or Word.
  6. No, don't get your hopes up, I'm just an aspiring author. But if you ever at some point in the (distant) future see the title Aurinwé Burning in bookstores, that will be me. Teddy Roosevelt is an author though, and he wrote a LOT: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/44567.Theodore_Roosevelt
  7. Well, if you can put that much work into something, I can too. I guess I'll discuss it with my sister, who's pretty much the only person reading it right now anyway.
  8. Me as well. But at the same time, I never really wanted to.
  9. Hmm. Wish I had heard that bit earlier. I'm far enough along in a pretty much chapter-by-chapter basis that changing that would be a big hassle.
  10. I have weird dreams. Recently I had one where George W. Bush was launching a third-party bid for the presidency. And another one where Mitt Romney was president (in that dream my crush liked me, so that was a pretty cool world).
  11. Don't like Jackson. Nixon is a difficult one. I mean, I obviously have some serious issues with him, but he also had redeeming qualities. I'd recommend Evan Thomas's biography Being Nixon: A Man Divided if you're interested.
  12. Harding or Trump. Buchanan also has a pretty good shot at it. Oh, of course. Preferably big enough for me to speak softly.
  13. Everything by The Proclaimers.
  14. I've read the first two books, but never really got into them. To each their own.
  15. Probably because he's one of the single coolest people ever to exist (and by far the coolest to occupy the White House). I've been interested in him as long as I can remember. Not entirely, no, but they certainly don't hurt.
  16. No, she isn't. Just me right now.
  17. Ha. I totally forgot Monty Python had that idea first (I've never seen any of their stuff). So, no, but from what little I know of Monty Python, actually yes. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  18. On Google Docs, around 3-4. On Apple Pages, around 4-5. Presumably on a smaller sheet of paper (ie average book size) 5-7, depending on font size.
  19. Hey all. I'm currently in the process of writing an epic fantasy, and I wanted to ask you a few questions. My book has nine POV characters. On the one hand, I feel this might be a bit too many, on the other, I really like them all and feel like they're important to the story. If you knew that a book had 9 POV characters, would it affect your likelihood of reading it? (Negatively or positively) Also, my chapters are rather short (800-1300 words on average). How much does this matter, in your opinion? Thanks for the help!
  20. I've been considering reading Name of the Wind. The only thing that gives me pause is the sex... is that a big thing at all? (Use Wheel of Time as a more/less reference if possible)
  21. Ha! My sister is a huge KotLC fan.
  22. Tried Ranger's Apprentice?
  23. Vote, because driving is mildly intimidating and politics is, according to my "interests" section on my profile, an interest of mine. What is something you should be doing right now but aren't?
