  1. What I'd really recommend is Age of Empires. Those games are wildly brilliant. Civ is great and all, but honestly I think I've been spoiled for strategy games by AoE.
  2. No, but I play Civ VI. Well, not often. But I own it.
  3. And small. I can never get over how small they are. (Not to be rude or anything. Some of my favorite people are small.)
  4. It is cheesy, but it is also fun and entertaining. The performances are actually quite brilliant, which makes the sometimes stilted plot bearable. It's very funny. EDIT: I just realized that it is far more likely you were referring to Cursed, which I have not seen and cannot vouch for either way. Oops.
  5. I really liked this cover. I think it was the only one I read that wasn't the original cover art.
  6. Breeze is my favorite character in Mistborn and Mat Cauthon is my favorite in WoT.
  7. History or Debate. What's the worst school subject?
  8. Good. It's very good.
  9. Defenestrate. What's stuck in your head right now?
  10. I was on a field trip once at the Virginia State Capitol. The group split up. My half got to watch the State Senate say hi to a bunch of spectators and then vote to close the session early because hey, it was Friday. The other half randomly stumbled across the Governor and got to meet him and take pictures with him. Another time, I woke up at like 4:30 am to go on a monthly jog that the Governor had been sponsoring and participating in. So we walk up to the start, and he's standing there taking pictures and whatnot. And we're like, "should we go ask for a picture?" But we decide to just do the run first and then say hi afterward. Well, it turns out he was taking pictures at the start because he had someplace to be and wasn't going to be able to do the run. So I woke up at 4:30 to go for a cruddy 2-mile jog and briefly see Ralph Northam from 50 feet away. Another time I was supposed to go watch Evan McMullin at a campaign event in 2016, but then the event got canceled, presumably so that he wouldn't have to leave Utah.
  11. Okay. Can I bring my friend Ewan McGregor's new bowl of eggs?
  12. *moves The Emperor's Soul into The Prestige's place on the "to-read" list* EDIT: *realizes TES is in Arcanum Unbounded* *moves Arcanum Unbounded into The Emperor's Soul's place on the "to-read" list*
  13. Unpopular opinion: Sci-fi and fantasy are quite different, fantasy is better, and awards/bookstores/etc. should stop lumping them into the same genre. *sits back down after getting far too excited* Sorry for the rant.
  14. Ayyyy represent! Me too! My co-op-ish thing starts on August 14, but I start at home on the 10th. Honestly I don't think I've ever been this excited for school to start back up.
  15. Ohhh. I somewhat stupidly thought that was just a collection of all the Ars Arcanums.
  16. It's not really that I don't want to read them. I just don't care enough to put much effort into it. First of all, many of them are electronic resource only - and I'm quite stubborn about insisting on a "real" book. Others aren't at my library. I probably will read The Emperor's Soul at some point, but I have a lot of other things planned first.
  17. I mean, I already knew it was a thing. But I finished Bands of Mourning today, which brings me up to date on every Cosmere book (excluding Warbreaker, which I plan to hold off on for a while, and the novellas, which I'm not super interested in reading). Still not really knowing how they were cohesive, I googled it. And, um. Now I know why everybody is obsessed with Hoid. I mean seriously. It made no sense to me. That said, he'll always be Wit to me.
