  1. You don't know many people, now do you? Yes to SoR, no to SoK. And yes to Emi. Ninja'd... TPBM likes to make acronyms for commonly used multiple words terms.
  2. I actually like cats much more than dogs. TPBM doesn't live in the US.
  3. No. TPBM is introverted, nearly anti social.
  4. Sef turned around. "There you are. This man -" he says, gesturing toward Mr. Ryan - "wants to rest here. He doesn't speak Common, though he is apparently speaks pretty good elvish." He turns to Mr. Ryan. "This is Valzwyn, the owner of the tower." He turns back to Valzwyn and asks in Common: "Will you tell me who is your friend? I don't believe I met her." @Onimur
  5. Sef walked in, the climbed a few stairs and chose a strategic spot, from which he could be heard almost all over the tower. "Miss Valzwyn, we have a new guest!" He called. @Channelknight Fadran
  6. So, I admit I wasn't active lately. Well, I'm sorry to say it's not going to change for the best in the near future. From tomorrow I enlist in the IDF, and phones aren't allowed there most of the time.

I won't just stop posting on the shard; I'll just post a lot more rarely, so I'll apologize on advance to all the people I RP with. Sorry! On the bright side, there won't be more random status update rambles! Yes, I know I post those rarely anyway, but when I do they're long and full of spoilers for books you've never heard of. So, no more of those in the near future.

Thank you for reading and good night/afternoon/day!

Good luck. I hope everything works out for you!

  7. Hoblim looks up from the book after finishing storing the relevant portions of the book. "Reading? Pastime? Well, I guess it can be. But I think I count reading as a hobby. Maybe it's not exactly active, but it can get a little active with theorizers." He stops talking for a moment. "Not that I'm one, but still."
  8. It's a Minhag of Chabad. They make a semi-Seder at the final Pesach yom tov. And no, I have no idea what was going on with your guest. Sorry. TPBM intends to reread Mistborn before The Lost Metal comes out.
  9. Thankfully, I don't have any of those. Only familial meetings, in which I hardly participate. TPBM knows what Seudas Mashiach is.
  10. What does it have to do with the second era? There is a feruchemical metals table at the end of the Well of ascension! And I do want one of these powers, since after all, I did write this TPBM... TPBM has read at least one of Brandon's non-Cosmere books.
  11. Well, that is a good idea. There are other books of DWJ I like better, but that's a start. Should we open a thread for recommending books to toothless? My family is a little Rambamistic, and so, I don't believe in segulos too much. TPBM would, if he/she had to choose one feruchemical power, choose one from the Cognitive quadrant. Either that, or it's toothless who didn't read Mistborn yet (or did you?).
  12. Is it superstitions/weird beliefs week? I thought it was Pesach? And sorry if it was offensive, but no, I don't believe in talismans. And Teffillin (or mezuzah) don't count. TPBM will use the acronym TPBM in his (or her) reply.
  13. I do. That was what I thought of. Not sure if I believe in that. TPBM has read something by Diana Wynne Jones.
  14. It's not the same. At least I don't see it like that. Though maybe it's more similar than I thought. The idea of reincarnation is of a person being born to a new life, usually without memory of his former life. And I didn't have a three day yom tov. Yay for living in Israel! And I didn't have macaroons at all. I ate a lot of matzas, though. TPBM has a good long-term memory.
  15. Actually, I read it earlier, so ha! And I do wander, Nathrangking: do you believe in reincarnation? That isn't necessarily a common belief in Judaism. TPBM is glad that for four full messages no Jewish reference was made, and is disappointed that the count just restarted.
  16. "As for rest," said Sef, "you'll have to ask the tower's owner. I think she's inside. I'll go ask her in a moment. As for people not believing you... Well, maybe you should speak less theatrically." He turned to the Shadow. "He wants some rest, and he says he can prove his claims afterwards. If you'll excuse me, I'll go get Mistress Valzwyn." He then told Mr. Ryan: "Now, if you please follow me, I'll see what can be done for you." @Tesh
  17. "There are yet a few hours until the sun goes down." Said Sef. "Now, your claims sound more than a little pretentious. I would very much appreciate it if you spoke more factually and less fancily, and I believe the Shadow agrees."
  18. Hoblim shrugs and returns to the book, shaking the weird feeling. It was probably only another one of his weird paranoid thoughts.
  19. Sef turns back to Mr. Ryan. "It's just that... Well, if what you said is true, you have just confirmed a scientific theory which was practically baseless up until now. It has some implications. And people will find it hard to believe." Gal, on the meanwhile, tries to listen. He says nothing, but looks at his notebook for a moment, reading something in there.
  20. "I am not sure." Said Sef, looking troubled. "As far as scientific research goes on the topic, we don't know of the existence of any other world. It has been theorized that there are 'what if' worlds, but no proof was ever found. There are some who claim that passage to other worlds like that is possible through the other Realms, but again, this wasn't proven. If it is possible, it'll be through the Realm of Souls - the one about which we know only from curious anomalies that are inexplicable without it. In short - it's improbable that what he says is true."
  21. Sef was taken aback by that. He shook his head and told Talnic: "He... He says he comes from another world, though he doesn't know his exact origins - he passes between worlds regularly and uncontrollably. You must excuse my delay in translation, what he said... It widens our scientific knowledge by much. It needs to be researched." He shakes Gal, who looks up from his notebook, a little annoyed. He then tells him what Mr. Ryan said. Gal immediately looks up, starting to actually listen to the conversation. @Tesh
  22. Hoblim looks up from his book. "Umm... What were you talking about just now? I had a weird feeling that something's going wrong."
  23. Wrong. I do know who the Arba Banim are, though I never identified with any one of them. Except, I guess, for the time I didn't know how to ask questions, though I believe I didn't have the mind to understand what's all that. TPBM is going to say with which of the Arba Banim they identify most. If said person isn't Jew, he/she is going to ask an explanation to what are the Arba Banim.
