Sef looks at him, letting him have a moment for himself, before saying: "If you so wish, you will be able to see them tonight. You were trying to explain where you came from?"

Nope. My shardversary is yet to come. Yeah, we talk about Pesach a lot because it's a great holiday that is coming soon, in about two weeks. I'm not sure you'd be so excited to really celebrate Pesach, though. It entails not eating normal bread for a week, and a large amount of cleaning before. I believe Kingsdaughter mentioned the cleaning part earlier here. With all that said, it's still a great holiday. TPBM can explain Pesach far better than how I did. (In my defense, I didn't exactly try to explain it.) -
"Connie!" Said Hoblim from inside. "Yeah, your sister was here. I'm Trutharchivist on the shard, but my name is Hoblim. And I'm pretty sure we're being hosted by Kelsier and the Ghostbloods."

Sef looked at him. "Yes, I know what sun and stars are. I guess this isn't your native language? Or do you think me an idiot?"

"Dragons weren't seen outside their mountains for years." Replied Sef. "As far as I know, they are not revered in any religion around here. How did you arrive to this tower? And without speaking Common? There is no empire anywhere on this continent." Gal tries to follow the discussion, but clearly fails. He stands to the side, looking around him. The Shadow - Talnic - is a short distance away, walking away from the newcomer - Xeus, he was named? The one Sef warned him of. A small child stood near the dragon corpse, and it seems that Cara took responsibility of him. Minuet and Ara stood at the door of the tower, looking at Xeus. He remembered that Minuet decided going with him - something about her Grace, it seemed. Valzwyn and Orpheus were nowhere to be seen.

Hoblim climbed the car after Lilliana and sat next to her, hesitantly. He looked for a seat belt, and when he found none he felt... Uncomfortable. He put his bag on his knees, leaving a place for Daryen next to him.

In the meanwhile, Hoblim got out. How does Kelsier happen to know so much about medicine? He wonders. He returns to his room, checks again to make sure he has everything, and then goes back out. On his way he decides to trust Kelsier, for now. He seemed to genuinely care for Lilliana. Though it might just be that he needed her, for some reason. He proceeds to go back downstairs, now everything on him, including a small orange bag containing his Teffillin in a plastic container inside, which can't be seen from the outside. "Ready as I can be." He replied, still a little shaken.

"I, too, am fluent in many languages." Said Sef. "I might surprise you. You have a fancy way of speech, which is interesting. And as for the slain creature..." Sef looks at the dead dragon, then back at Rylan. "I do not know. I believe it attacked the tower, and was slain as a result. What would you have us do? Bury it?" He doesn't sound angry, only curious.

Hoblim followed Kelsier. "I didn't touch her." He said. "I've just found her like that."

Hoblim took his bag and teffillin, and made sure he didn't forget anything - including the paper with Lilliana's plans of inventing vaccines. He proceeded to pace around the room. So, he thought, let's list the facts: we've got Kelsier - at least I assume it's Kelsier - and a probably a Ghostblood - one that knows about Judaism - downstairs. They offered to host us in a place where most of my Kashrut problems will be solved. Wait, am I thinking in Scadrian, Hebrew, or English? Never mind that, focus! I'm not sure if we should join them, since they clearly have their own goals. Rusts, why am I even here? Oh, dear. Now I should actually consider which side I'm in and I'll probably have to fight and this is far scarier than I've ever imagined and- A loud sound of something hitting the ground came from the neighbouring room - Lilliana's room, he recalled - and cut his train of thoughts. He immediately went to the room, and found Lilliana unconscious on the ground. He immediately run outside and shouted: "Help! My friend has just lost consciousness!" @Kingsdaughter613, @AmazingGoob

Hoblim noticed that Lilliana looked stressed and confused. He couldn't blame her. He himself wasn't at his best. This whole thing was a little... Overwhelming. He wondered whether he should try again to ask why, but decided that it'd be futile. Besides, if he could say anything he should probably start with 'I think Lilliana is a little overwhelmed.' But, then again, so was he. He shook his head. "All right." He says, trying to stay as calm as he can. "I'll just... Go grub my things, fine?" He puts the paper, with trembling hands, back inside the nylon case, which he puts back in his bag. He takes it, and runs upward to his room. Partly to take his Teffillin, partly to relax for a moment.

Hoblim can't find what to say. He's just to surprised by what just happened. Though... "We'll still be in the Fourth Octant, right? Or at the very least in Elendel?"

"They be busy, thinks I." Said Gal, still speaking bad elvish, though now understanding more. "I know an elf. Will fetch her." He then goes to the tower. He can't find Valzwyn where he last saw her, so he goes to the library. She's not there, either, but Sef is. "Sef, we need Valzwyn to help interpret something. Do you know where she is?" Sef lifts his eyes from the book he was reading. "Did you start fulfilling your duty, young Gal?" "Not this again." Says Gal. "I know, researching prophecies is important. I've started working on it. But there are things that are far more interesting. Besides, I was trying to talk to someone. Is your elvish good? Because mine isn't." "Of course my elvish is good." Says Sef. "I'll come to interpret. Searching for mis Valzwyn will be hard, in this tower. She knows all the secret passages, and there are many of those." Sef and Gal go back down the stairs and go outside, while Gal explains the situation - or, rather, what he knows of it - to Sef. When they reach the stranger, Sef said in coherent elvish: "Welcome, Rylan. I am known as Sef. What is your wish from those people? And why does a human like you speaks elvish, of all languages?"

Hoblim is taken aback. "I must admit, this is very surprising. I never expected that if I'll pass to a parallel universe my religious needs will actually be taken care of. Though... You said apartment? Can you please explain what's going on? And members? Of what group?"

Hoblim looked at his plate, then at everything else at the tables, then sighed. Well, better get used to eating fruits. Not that he has choice. He started eating.

The Person Below Me

Some donuts I do, I guess. And I meant UTC minus something, so your answer should actually be yes. TPBM can offer me a book to study before Pesach as a way to prepare myself mentally for it. -
Hoblim giggled himself, relieved to see that Lilliana understood his hint. He thought it might've been a little obscure. He proceeds to try and draw Daryen's attention, to explain to him what was going on. @AmazingGoob

Well, chocolate milk, I think, but I guess I will. TPBM is in a UTC-something time zone. (In case you don't know, UTC is Greenwich.) -
"Ow!" Says Hoblim, then looks at Lillian. "Why would you-" He stops talking when she gives him a meaningful look and points to lord Elariel. What... He then realizes a few things: first, that the statement about lord Elariel knowing more about the card's representation than Trésor seemed weird, since she seemed to be the one knowing things about the cards. Plus, Lillian was acting weird, as if there was something he should notice about the man. He tried to add all this up, and... He frowned. That wasn't probable, was it? He probably just overreacted. How could he check? He drew the Allomantic symbol of Malatium on the page, caught Lillian's attention and pointed to it, then to... "Lord Elariel".

Hoblim thinks for a moment and shrugs. Then, since he sees no way to continue the discussion, and since Trésor is busy with lord Elariel, he pulls a nylon case from his bag - the same one he did last time - takes out of it his steel alphabet - Hebrew - English table and passes through it. He then tried saying words intentionally in Hebrew, English, and Scadrian, to see if he can still speak all those languages.
