  1. I wouldn't tell anyone. Hemalurgy is a terrifying, gruesome thing, and the fewer who know of it, the better.
  2. "Onward!" Kindness cries, having regained her cheerful demeanor. "Also, Fadran, something is telling me I should pretend to have a Nahel bond. I don't know why. Do you want to help me with that?"
  3. Probably. Unfortunately, I spent all my money on the Kickstarter. But yes, I would do it. The eleventh order (or is that the Chromatic Chicken Scouts?) Joyspreaders. They bond hugspren. Their mission: spread happiness and light and joy, as explained by Syl in Oathbringer. Sorry, nothing against your name, but when I see a 'q' (lowercase) all by its lonesome, it triggers my fight or flight response. Or is it my edit or close the book response? The world may never know.
  4. I didn't write anything, just wanted to say a hammered dulcimer would sound fantastic for Stormlight.
  5. This is awesome! I've personally never been able to think of Hoid as a jester, so it works.
  6. Okay, but onion rings... Now I want a movie so I can see that particular scene.
  7. Oathbringer can be shattered, and the pieces used to create duraluminum, but when a Mistborn or Misting uses the duraluminum from Oathbringer, they will essentially yeet peoples souls from their bodies using a duraluminum-fueled mental Shardblade. Wayne's hat and Raoden.
  8. I would guess Stormlight doesn't make you stronger, but it might appear that way. If a normal human here on Earth tries to lift something too heavy, you can mess up your back or other muscles. But with Stormlight healing, a Radiant might lift heavier things. I will note that based off of physiological boundaries, this is pretty implausible. Our brains set limits for what we can handle safely. So if this were to happen, it wouldn't be very often. Probably during very adrenaline fueled moments.
  9. For me, it's the moments of growth, like Kaladin's Ideals, the end of HOA, Dalinar at Thaylen City and so on. But it's also the characters and the worlds. It sucks me in, and it makes me care. Something about Sanderson's writing makes me care about the characters and worlds so much.
  10. I agree. No powers, Kaladin wins just based on size and weight. (I am backing this up with the fact that I am very close to Vin's size, and if someone is bigger than me, I almost never win.) Powered up - as much as I love Kaladin, he doesn't stand a chance against literally-headbutted-a-man-to-death Vin. If he has his Sylspear, he might be able to win, depending on Vin's first move. If she goes in with her knives, I'd say Kaladin. If it's coins, Vin wins. If emotional Allomancy comes into play, Vin again.
  11. More recent history is pretty fascinating to me, like 80s forward. And ancient Chinese history is absolutely fascinating.
  12. *blushes at first answer* Yeah, I think a black hole bomb would count. Now I want to know what would happen if someone actually did that... Have you ever mixed up words so badly your friends never let you hear the end of it?
  13. I find Eragon to be pretty good. It's not the best, but it was interesting, and still is. I actually find it to be extremely relaxing because it feels so much like other fantasy books, which makes it really good for when I don't want to pick up any particular book. I picked it up with a lot of skepticism, but I was surprised by it, especially since the author was around sixteen when he published the first one.
  14. Did you expect 'I'm bored. Let's mess around!' to become what it is? What stupid thing have you always wanted to do? (Like irrationally want to touch lava.)
  15. Szeth's WOR plotline
  16. "Do - do you by chance sell sewing things? Or fabric? Not anything particularly fancy, just warm, sturdy fabric. Maybe breachtree cotton?" She's blushing again, she can feel it. Mist clinks his crystals together in a soothing rhythm. Why does talking to people have to be so hard?
  17. These are brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. I would just like to say, the idea of Dalinar Kholin powerwalking through a museum fills me with as much terror as the Winter Soldier Murder Strutting down that highway in the second Captain America. By terror I mean mad respect.
  18. Calvin and Hobbes was one of my favorite things. It still is. Man, it's so good.
  19. "I didn't realize how much was gone," Kindness whispers. "I remember my sister, and I remember waking up in the Physical Realm. There was only one thing in my mind then; help others. Before that, almost nothing." She blinks back intangible tears. "If you want to help me find that other part, I would gladly welcome your help."
  20. I'd stop myself from losing the family genealogy book. I was an idiot.
  21. So, I was thinking about the Dawnshards. (Gee, I wonder why...) And I came up with a thing. Coppermind quote: Rhythm of War synopsis My theory is that the Dawnshards are a magnifier. By that, I mean that a Dawnshard can amplify a Surge, in this case, Division, which is what destroyed Ashyn. Is that what the 'arms race' will be about? Both sides trying to get to the planet killers? Is that what happened to Aimia, on a smaller scale? Am I overthinking this?
