  1. Cassandra Adama ran toward what was left of the Trader's Haven. It seemed the Anarchist had their fun after all. Flames licked the walls of nearby buildings, but the wooden Haven had suffered the most. It was... burned out almost entirely. She didn't have time to worry about that. Her objectives were simple. Find out what Lord wanted with those spikes, and retrieve them if possible. Find how Lord made his amethysts. Find what in Harmony's name was going on. Cassie ignored the people gathering outside the chaos, not stopping to see if the Anarchist was among them. What would she say? She never specified she had to be there, just that she would offer her support. Perhaps she would do so in the future. For now, she gulped down some iron powder and ran in the building, trailing Stormlight from her wrist. @Lord_Silberfarben @Gears

  3. Ah, whatever. I'll move to a full player. But don't expect too much activity while the LG's still running. What am I talking about Elandera's helping run two games at once I can handle this. Signing up as... Faleast, who somehow got ejected from the cosmere again.
  4. Poller hesitated. Cassie didn't seem to have much of a reaction to his reappearance, but whatever that sound was seemed to jar her. Rusts, it jarred him. He turned to where Folorian and the woman who'd asked for his help were standing, still hesitating on the threshold of the store. Folorian... he hoped he was mentally pronouncing that right. He was suggesting going to investigate the explosion. Weren't they just running from an attack? And now they wanted to go find another one? "I think this is too important," he whispered, trying not to let the others hear. "Besides, I don't know about you, but I'm a noncombatant. I can swing a stick, but besides that I can barely regulate my own sleep." Well, he thought he was a noncombatant. It was getting hard to tell. If everything he knew was a lie... Cassie nodded to the man with the aluminum spikes as he departed. She'd Soulcast some copies later. For now, she needed to get to the Trader's Haven before things got out of hand. She checked her dress's pockets. A lot of little knives, some aluminum, some steel - good. She'd been practicing a few tricks with them - being a Coinshot may take more glory than a Lurcher like herself, but that didn't mean she couldn't use her Allomancy. She ran back to her desk, grabbing a leathery thing from under it. Technically it was a bandolier, although it probably wasn't like any most had seen. Leather with a long string of pockets, some wide, some thin, all with aluminum clasps. Meant to hold spare amethysts and iron vials, respectively. On the back was space for two dirks, and at her hip was a simple knapsack. Just because it was meant for battle didn't mean it couldn't be efficient, after all. Rather like herself. Built, Invested, created to be dangerous. Combative. But that didn't mean that was her destiny. She chose that destiny for herself. "I'm going to check that explosion out," Cassie said, pretending that it wasn't fairly obvious. She filled the few empty pouches in the bandolier, hesitating as he found the most recent shipment of Lord's amethysts. Gemstones bought with blood. No, Cassie protested. Metal, not blood. It didn't change how sick she felt about it. Maybe she could steal more from him in this raid, or even better find how he created them for so cheap. "Poller, you're in charge of the shop while I'm gone. You know what to do." And she hurried out after the aluminum burner. Towards Lord's shop. Towards... Retribution. @mathiau
  5. Cassie sighed. Such was the life of a businesswoman. Have nothing to do for hours, and then the second she got into her head another activity, people poured through her door like mercury though her Soulcasting molds. At least the helper of the Anarchist - Shade? - had left. The first customer made and explanation about the aluminum charges - he burned aluminum that he imbedded in his skin? she may have to look into that - so she grabbed one to use as a template and hustled to her work station. She could duplicate it fairly easily, and she was eager to be off. "Excuse me, did you say something about an attack?" Cassandra's head shot up as the customer turned, and Poller entered the building, accompanied by two... Scholar's Guild members, she thought. Another customer stood outside the door. Well, it looked like the boy had found a hobby, at least. He looked rather sheepish. Wait. Storms, the attack? Did they know what the Anarchist was planning? Would she have to warn him? "Poller? What's this-" BOOM. Her shop shook, a pile of plate armor crashing to the ground. Well, suddenly advance warning of an attack didn't seem to matter much. "Rusts! What was that?" she said, stabilizing herself with her gloved safehand. @Random Bystander @Rushu42 @mathiau

  7. Izzy-daughter-Ammi needed a breath of fresh air. The building that housed their group and the precious Honorblades, while majestic, had a trapping feeling. Maybe it was all the dark corridors that people invariably got stabbed in. The combination of wooden structures and no Stormlight lamps meant nights were dark. On some days, it felt better that way. Izzy could look outside and see the sky scattered with stars. This wasn't really one of those days. She wasn't supposed to go outside, especially at night like this. Not with what she carried. Which is why she was on the rooftop instead of in But... watching the grass, bending yet resolute... was rather soothing. She listened for a gust of wind to make the grass blow. Instead Izzy heard the sounds of footsteps behind her. She stretched out her hand, but it was too late - the knife flashed, and the Honorblade she'd been about to summon clattered to the rooftop. Her dying eyes saw a single blade quiver in the field below. A blade quivered below. One quivered by her side. One quivered in her heart. It was almost poetry. The ominous kind. * * * Alvron has been killed! They were a member of the Shin High Council and the Bearer of Shalash's Honorblade! Shalash's Honorblade is available to be claimed by Alvron's killer! 10. Cassie opened her mouth to respond to the... collector, but stopped as another customer entered the room. This one looked... somewhat familiar? "Yes," she replied to the Anarchist's friend. It was more complicated than that, but there wasn't really much she could elaborate on. I'm working with the Anarchist, but am also now an informant for the Ghostbloods? Probably not what she was looking for. "I'll catch up. Let me know if you need anything more!" she said, then turned to the newcomer, the man holding aluminum. "Yes, I'm Cassandra Adama. I was just about to head out for the night for some errands, but if you need something I have time." * * * Poller didn't know who this was, but he was rather glad to not be alone with... rusts, what even was her name? Either she hadn't offered it or he'd forgotten in the relative chaos of the day. Anyway... bringing a group to Cassie's shop was more explainable tha- Darkness. Poller tapped bronze, staggering. Great. Another episode. Just what he needed. "Is that going to be a problem?" the woman was asking. "Uh... it shouldn't be," Poller responded. "Depends if you know who they are, because I don't. But usually a normal customer going about their business doesn't wait for a person to open the door." He hesitated, grabbing his staff from his back and leaning on it. "Also... I must have missed it or... are we sure we can trust...". He shook his head to clear it a bit. "Sorry. Who are you?" he asked, pointing to the man who'd joined their journey. @kenod @Ookla the Uscritic @mathiau
  11. A hand slammed on the table. "And THAT is why Tszen must be part of the traitor's cohort," said Fura. He glared at the surrounding Shin. They were sitting at a large round table, each person nervously cramped next to the other. They'd given up on the mob-like hall. They were better than that. And enough of them had died or vanished that the group now fit around the table. Sure, only about half of them had been true Shin, but their deaths stung nonetheless. And so far they'd only cut off the head of the infiltrators. There would be more. "I agree with the accusations against Tszen," Izzy said, flipping that chanceslip nonchalantly. Eternum and Hadrian-son-Penrod quickly confirmed they shared the suspicion. Tszen had been highly interactive with The Larkin - the traitor - and that made him a possible infiltrator. The glances went around the table. Some voiced their agreement. Others nervously rocked in their seats, refusing to cast their vote. But no one objected strongly enough to turn suspicion to another. Finally the circle came to Tszen themself. They simply shook their head and sighed. "So what's one to do? You're obviously going to kill me no matter what I say." Fura nodded, but didn't stand. Rarashe-son-Lurdroler, however, did. "Can we make it unanimous?" he said simply, glaring at the group. None dissented. "Good," he replied to their silence. He stepped up to the stoic Tszen. "For what it's worth," he whispered to the doomed one, arm outstretched, "I am related to the Lord Ruler. But probably not how you were thinking." A Shardblade dropped into Rarashe's waiting hand. From there, it found Tszen's chest, and their eyes burned. "Pretty cool, aye?" he continued quieter. "I'll probably have to put it back soon, but...". He paused, fishing a spanreed from where Tszen dropped it. "Right again," he said louder. Two down. * * * Flyingbooks42 was lynched! They were a member of Szeth's Cohort! 12. Well... after verifying that that mod has read RoW.
  13. *Note: I am in no way a mod for this and so my opinion means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Characters still must be approved by an Alleyverse mod. * I think it would be fine. It would be more points than a standard Returned, but other methods of immortality (like being a kandra or Aimian) are within grasp. (Sunmaker?) This looks fine by me. Only thing I'd specify is how experienced (or not) he is with Awakening. Radiant Metalborn can be a bit harder to fit, just because of the sheer power level of their Investiture. Second Oath + a powerful Allomancy puts Zaria at 150 points alone, before subtracting things like their weaknesses and oaths. Not to say that it's impossible. Storms, that's my first Alleyverse character; Tyrian, a Leecher turned Second-Oath-Dustbringer. But you need to have fairly potent weaknesses. In Tyrian's case, he flies into a rage at even a hint that someone's a Skybreaker. I think Amnesia also qualifies as a fairly major weakness, and is likely a better one for RP's sake. I do like the character design. Some things you need are an actual written Second Oath - you can just make one up for non-canonized oaths or would-be-RoW-spoilers-to-use-officially oaths, so long as it fits the general Willshaper theme (which is... seeking freedom, I think?). With amnesia, this is up to you, but giving an idea of her true past could be a good idea, either written in the character sheet or just noted down somewhere for your reference. Finally, I'm assuming Zaria is human from the description... but with Rhythms involved it might need to be said outright oh now I see that. Half-Listener. Should probably put that in the Physical Characteristics section, as that could lead to other interactions (like taking a form, perhaps, or being more like one form than another).
  14. It will be announced they survived. (Cough Mat Cough) No, just that they successfully used their action (ie not roleblocked) They're notified they didn't die... I won't explicitly say "you were saved by Progression", but "you were attacked and survived". Note that with the Truthless dead and my two Secrets gone, there's... probably no effects that can save someone besides Progression.
  15. Jes-son-Laal knew Surgebinding when he saw it. Someone had used its powers a few days ago. Someone who had been standing close enough to him that he could see the Light steaming from their breath. He didn't know what they were doing, but they were obviously focused. Trained. Not in force, as the Bearers were. But in subtlety. He had to know. He rounded the corridor, finally coming to his destination in the dark. The room of the tailor, Ganeth-null-Shantis-Mawelar. They were... peculiar. Nervous. Untrained in the ways of the Bearers, which wasn't incriminating on its own. Many people became Bearers suddenly in this past week. But combined with what he saw... Ganeth's head shot up hearing his approach on the wood floor. "What is it?" "Are you the Bearer of Ishar's Honorblade?" Jes asked quietly. Ganeth shook their head. "No. What makes you-" "You lie." The tailor laughed. "I do not bear that Blade. I don't think I've told a lie this entire venture. I don't want to become the next Truthless." Jes's expression turned stony. "And yet you used Adhesion." Ganeth stilled. "You used it a few days ago. I saw. The only way for a true Shin to have used that Surge is with Ishar's blade. That or-" Ganeth whirled into motion as only a Surgebinder could, and a golden knife buried itself in Jes's throat. 'Was that a gem in it's hilt?' Was his final thought. 'May it be a hallow for my soul...' * * * Ganeth panicked. So, they'd need to be more careful. Jes may have been chasing the wrong axehound, but he had still been so close to the truth- "You can drop the Lightweaving." They turned. Standing at the door, looking at the body on the floor, was the one person he hadn't wanted to see. Kaladin stepped through the door, Lightweaved persona dropped for the moment. "I can't forgive this. Not this time." "I didn't want your forgiveness. I wanted you to understand. Instead you abandoned me." "And you ran right to Odium's arms. I'm sorry, Moash." Ganeth scowled. "I... am... Vyre." They hurled themself at Kaladin, grabbing another knife. But they only met the point of Kaladin's spear as it coalesed from the night. Ganeth's Lightweaving faded as their eyes burned, revealing an Alethi form. One Kaladin knew all too well. "I will protect those I hate, Moash. But only so long as it is right." * * * Ookla the Hypodecedal / Devotary of Spontaneity was killed! They were Vyre, a secret role, and the Bearer of Jezrien's Honorblade! Ookla the Sprinkle / JesterLavorre was killed! They were a member of the Shin High Council! 16. Uhhh... am I supposed to do quicklinks? I thought whoever merged the threads was. I'm 87% sure that's Elbereth but I also have no idea it just happens.
  17. They came to a decision. For once, there were only a few dissenting voices. Ones easily quashed, despite the murmurs that just because everyone agreed didn't make it a good idea. The group, largely independent of their "leader" lounging at the back of the room, turned toward The Larkin. Anger flashed. He seemed too... it was hard to put to words. Too Shin. "You know our ways. You haven't made a single slip this entire venture. It's as if instead of living our ways, you... studied them to a tee," Viola-daughter-Condensation finally stated. "What say you?" The Larkin laughed at that. A weak laugh. One that bespoke... he was actually amused by this. "What say you!" a more insistent voice came from the mob. "What say I?" the Larkin said. "I..." He stood up. Wavering? "I will cleanse the Shin of their false leaders." And just as The Larkin's Lightweaving failed, he exploded into a Light that no one in the room had seen before. Honorblades weren't capable of channeling that much of a storm. But Szeth-son-Neturo wasn't using an Honorblade. He drew a sword... no, that was not a sword. That was the Void incarnate. And the former Truthless Lashed himself right for the mob leader. * * * Rarashe-son-Lurdroler stared down the most destructive force in the cosmere. Or, rather, he stared at the leader staring down the most destructive force in the cosmere. He hadn't chosen to interfere himself. He just... watched. Waited. This had quickly proven to be the chaos he had dreamed of. He hadn't a chance to gain an Honorblade yet, but that... that would be a prize indeed. One of the few things in this world that could truly kill him. He couldn't tell if he wanted it in his grasp or on the other side of the galaxy. It didn't look like the decision was up to him. * * * Szeth rushed forward, Stormlight draining from him. He couldn't tell if he would make it. He couldn't tell if he cared. The leader was frozen. He didn't know if this is what he had meant by removing false leaders, but this leader was what he'd have to get. The Bearers behind him wouldn't let him escape. So a blaze of glory it was. Twenty feet. Fifteen feet. He could feel the storm weakening, the Lashing failing. His foot hit the ground. Ten feet. Five feet. He burned. Two feet. One foot. Conta- And the Void consumed him, releasing his soul from the bondage of the stones. * * * Just before the sword hit the leader, the traitor disappeared into a blaze of smoke, as the dark sword clattered to the floor. It burned whatever it touched. The leader grabbed his face, his chest. He was alive. Mostly. He felt something cold on his chest. The blade had apparently burned a hole through his tunic, and hit... he reached for the hole. The chanceslip? The marked side had been facing his chest. The formerly clear side now had a shadow, a touch of death. Remarkable. He tossed the slip to a stunned-looking Izzy-daugher-Ammi, then looked at where the form of Szeth, the former Truthless, had disappeared. The dark sword lay near his feet, and what was obviously an Honorblade lay parallel to it. "This isn't over," he said simply, grabbing the Honorblade. Szeth would not have come alone. * * * Ookla the Larkin / Ventyl was lynched! They were Szeth of Szeth's Cohort, as well as the Bearer of Nightblood and Bearer of Paliah's Honorblade! Paliah's Honorblade has been redistributed! Nightblood has been added to the Honorblade pool and has been redistributed! It now counts as an Honorblade for Transformation and Reclaims (but not the Elim's 7-Shin-Blade wincon). * * * Final Vote Count: Ookla the Larkin / Ventyl (6): Ookla the Araris Valerian / Araris Valerian, Ookla the Hypodecadal / Devotary of Spontaneity, Lotus, Ookla the Grammatical / Condensation, Ookla the Sprinkle / JesterLavorre, Alvron, Furamirionind Furamirionind (1): Ookla the Larkin / Ventyl Somebody from Sel (1): Ookla the Mistiosa / Mist Ookla the Sprinkle / JesterLavorre (1): Eternum PMs are *checks notes* still open until the next Day turn!
