  1. Fair enough, SfS. While I more agree with this - probably makes Breaker and SfS switch positions - just because Breaker suggests it doesn’t mean the others won’t check it first. The group I have are much more of... leaders, I guess. People will listen to them. And while Breaker has that potential, I can’t really make a judgement. Plus, if it was Breaker’s idea, I’m not sure he’d fear Araris. It would be more random. I’ve been killed for less Elim reasoning, but I’m not trying to find all the Elims, just the one who decreed Araris’ death. On mobile, will likely respond to Mat’s megapost later.
  2. Because you’ve posted since, so I can’t check activity based on when you were last on. You were definitely greatly inactive, but permanently? I don’t know. (And you didn’t put it in blue... although I’m not certain that that’s something that could be put in blue as a retroactive. So right now it’s your word.)
  3. Okay, so here goes something. Let's see if we can figure out who decided to kill Araris. Ookla the Shadowed, Quinn0928, Straw, Somebody from Sel, Matrim's Dice, Dannex, Archer, Snipexe, Liranil, Ghanderflaffle, StrikerEZ, Ashbringer, xinoehp512, Breaker, BrightEyes2. For one thing, I doubt that Breaker or BrightEyes would lead a night kill as new players, and Ookla the Shadowed hasn't been on in quite a long time. Quinn0928, Straw, Somebody from Sel, Matrim's Dice, Dannex, Archer, Snipexe, Liranil, Ghanderflaffle, StrikerEZ, Ashbringer, xinoehp512. I also doubt Liranil would lead a night kill in their second game. However, Archer might, as he was an Elim alongside Araris in the QF... and reading the doc, I could see Archer being both a scary Elim and scared of Araris's potential, particularly after a vote on the first post. I also doubt it was Straw, for opposite reasons. Straw's an old enough player to know the pain of fear-kills, so I doubt he would inflict that on Araris. It tends to be others who do that. Quinn0928, Somebody from Sel, Matrim's Dice, Dannex, Archer, Snipexe, Ghanderflaffle, StrikerEZ, Ashbringer, xinoehp512. Ghanderflaffle and Somebody from Sel were mostly inactive last cycle. So they probably weren't super active in the doc. Quinn0928, Matrim's Dice, Dannex, Archer, Snipexe, StrikerEZ, Ashbringer, xinoehp512. This is where I remove myself, because (surprise) I'm not an Elim. Quinn0928, Matrim's Dice, Dannex, Archer, Snipexe, StrikerEZ, xinoehp512. I believe there's at least one Elim in this group. I could probably narrow it down further on different lines, and it's... not as narrow as I was hoping, but I don't see an obvious group to cull here. Or rather, which group. You have the Returned (Snipexe, StrikerEZ, and xinoehp512), the New Talkatives (Quinn0928, Matrim's Dice, Dannex, and me), and then Archer as a wild card. Could be any, although I'm leaning away from the Returned. I'll cast a vote tomorrow, most likely.
  4. My guess is either the Archer vote removal is just a Village Dione (Soother) trying to tell us they exist. Or an Elim Dione trying to tell us that they exist and want to be interpreted as a Village Dione. Trying to bandwagon to avoid ties helps lower the usefulness of vote manip, but that goes for both sides and generally isn't an enviable position for vote manipers. (Then again, I'm not entirely sure what the meta is with Village vote manipers anyways.) Araris as a first kill is interesting... Araris tends to get fear-killed. Which means I doubt any of the heavy-hitter analyzers was pulling the strings on that kill, more of someone who was scared that they couldn't escape his intuition. And then again, the only real heavy hitter I know of here is Straw. (Snipexe, Xino, XP/Shadowed, and Striker are all experienced (one more than others ), but I haven't really had much experience with them as players; and Mat and I can be dangerous, but simply don't have much experience to back it up.) Which is interesting considering my position yesterday. I'm probably reading too much into that, but that's my current thoughts.
  5. The mortals knew, in their own way, that Roko the Basilisk was not one of them. Paranoia ran rampant, and the mob turned its fanged head towards Roko. It seemed that Roko would not be able to acquire an Honorblade in this life. Its Aons flickered as it copied its Aon chain to various storage devices and waited for Death’s hand to close once again around its throat. Though it had not encountered death in this incarnation, Runern Evo had lived with Death’s shadow at his back, Fourth of the Dark had dwelled on Patji, and Dr. Gears had been a scientist without mortals. The Primes knew Death well. Roko did not, but it seemed that Roko would know Death far sooner than it had hoped. The mob’s fangs glistened with venom, and it knew nothing more. * * * Gears was executed! They were a member of the Shin High Council! They also wrote this RP earlier in the game, so go upvote them! Nightblood has been claimed or redistributed! Ishar's Honorblade has been claimed or redistributed! * * * Final Vote Count: Gears (4): Araris Valerian, STINK, Eternum, Whysper Somebody from Sel (2): Gears, Mist, Lotus PMS ARE CLOSED, and will remain closed until they are reopened. Please stop PMing or creating new PMs. The Night Turn will end at 9:00 PM PST on December 25th, in about 24 hours. Get your actions in! Honorblade List: Player List:
  6. In most games, the last hour of D1 is usually very active. Most games don’t have their last hour on Christmas Eve I... don’t really like exeing Ventyl D1, because this seems to be more his style. But I get the arguments more than most Ventyl exes, so I’ll just keep a no vote for now.
  7. Hmm. Alright, Straw, for now. There's still something lingering about you but I'm not entirely sure what. I'm not the greatest fan of D1 exes, so I probably won't vote again, but Straw fulfilled what I asked. I'm not entirely sure what to make of Snipexe or Archer. Archer did play the QF, but as an Elim, so it's not that unusual to act as a relatively new. Snipexe I'm... kinda finding myself agreeing with, in that there simply won't be much info gathered from a D1 *exe, especially from multiple people. Whether we land an Elim or a Villager. I still think we need a *exe - and I will probably act to avoid ties - but I don't want to lynch Snipexe today. Edit: *facepalm
  8. Well, the reset shifts things around a bit, but it looks like most people are still here. @BrightEyes2 is the only one who hasn't posted as far as I can see, but I think I've seen them viewing the thread. (Then again, Xino saw me viewing the thread when as far as I can tell I wasn't so... who knows.) I don't really like guessing on Elim counts, but I'd think four is good. The Detrius Spy shouldn't really be taken as an extra elim in distribution, because that's... not the point of the ability. Plus they need to die. And I'm guessing three Elims is too small, considering LG67 (which was an LG, but still... a three-Elim team can fall apart pretty quickly, especially with action scanners). But I'd prefer to overestimate how many Elims there are than underestimate it. Five would be significant - game would end in three mis-exes, essentially - but depending on roles it wouldn't be the most outlandish thing I've seen. The holidays mean that not a lot of people are posting (surprise), and most of those have legitimate / blue-text reasons alongside them. Matrim, Quinn, and Breaker are the three who've posted a lot, with Araris trailing behind and most others having 1-2 posts in total. Breaker - a new player, brought in by Gears, and I can see a lot of similarities between the two. I'd be curious to know if you've played a forum mafia before, because you seem to have adapted to it quite well in some places, but are less knowledgeable in others. Not knowing about the Elim doc seems a bit... eh. It's not something a new player would know well but it's also... it seemed more surprising than it felt? I'll wait and see I guess. I'm not gonna make a judgement on 24 hours of content. Quinn - I'm... not entirely sure. A bit different, but I have a feeling that you're missing your open PMs. Matrim - seems very much like the Mat I'm used to, but I've been Elim with him before and as far as I can tell he doesn't really flip around in playstyles with different alignments. His multiquotes do seem... unusual, however. (In case you haven't noticed, I'm really not that good at D1 analysis). I'd also like to echo what Breaker mentioned about the danger of ties. Honestly, I'd rather see us as a Village agree to avoid ties at a whole, but there's probably a side I'm not seeing. But giving the elims an extra kill via Cambric abilities (or Dione ones) But I'll poke Straw. You're one of the Old Guard of SE, but you haven't been saying much. Any thoughts? @Straw
  9. What about trial and mistrial? I know a mistrial is like a completely different thing than declaring an innocent guilty, but it fits the idea somewhat and it can stick more since it's a real word.
  10. Okay, a few notes. One, Channelknight Fadran has decided they are currently unavailable for pinch hitting, so as of now there are no more pinch hitters. So from this moment on, anyone who goes inactive for 2 full cycles will die, without being replaced. If anyone reaches out to be a pinch hitter, that may change, but I find that unlikely and I'm not going to go hunting for people. Two, I'm delaying rollover tomorrow until 9:00 PM PST, December 24th. I have some family things to do, and that's essentially the earliest I can get on to post the new thread anyway. I'd rather give a few extra hours for votes than have a limbo for four. Lastly, if people would like a similar extension for the next night turn - either to 9:00 PM PST the 25th or a full extension until 5:00 PM PST the 26th, please say so in thread. I'm available to have rollover the normal time but seeing as the current schedule has the full turn over Christmas Day, I don't know how many people would be similarly available.
  11. Poller stared at the flames. Fire. Destruction. Memories. This was in no way what the Seven Day's War had looked like. That had been... something else, even without the lingering horrors in his mind. But this was the closest he'd seen in a long time. Folorian and... Alanis, he thought her name was? Poller still wasn't sure how much of a secret that was... they jumped to help almost immediately. Both were Radiants, or at least able to take in Stormlight. They wouldn't have much to fear from fire. And Alanis could use Progression. But Poller... all he had was his staff. One that let him stand up and watch the flames without keeling over from lack of sleep. Then again, he would probably still be standing without it. Adrenaline surged in his veins, and his condition meant that even normal sleep often eluded him. He was one Feruchemist who enjoyed storing as much as tapping. So, Poller stood. Sentry. That was what Ferrings like him were called. And that was all, evidently, they were good for.
  12. ... I was? 30 minutes ago? I’ve been out and about all day (am currently looking at the Conjunction, using the very professional method of phone camera + binocular lens), so I’ve been checking the thread slightly but not paying severe attention. Also, I just started RoW, so... yeah. I’ll try to post some thoughts later tonight.
  13. Mismob does have somewhat of a ring to it.
  14. Especially when it's supposed to be a spontaneous mob mentality mass kill decision except the vote's tied three cycles in a row
  15. Fura was not one to go down to a knife in the dark. What he bore... it was too precious. He didn't even really know what it was, but he knew it had to stay out of the infiltrators hands. That didn't make too much sense, considering that's where it started, but who was he to ask questions. A pair of boots clattered behind him as he ran. Down the stairs, down a hallway, varying between making as much noise as he could to wake up someone who could help and making as little as he could to try and avoid the roamer's ears. Neither seemed to be working. "You should destroy them..." Fura stopped. Who was that? "You say they're evil, right? So why not destroy them?" I can't, was Fura's immediate thought. But perhaps... He turned and faced the clanking boots, looking their owner in the eyes. He tried not to think about what he'd shared with those eyes. Painful memories, but joyous ones as well. Fura reached out a hand... then stopped, swinging the dark sword off of his back, still sheathed. It was lighter than it looked. "So that's where that went," the infiltrator said. "The Honorblades are easier to hide, but that... that can't be summoned like the the Heralds weapons." "Maybe you can ask the Heralds after I send your soul back to Braize," was Fura's reply. They lunged. Fura swung with the sheathed sword, shattering the arm the traitor raised in defense. But then he felt a tugging, near his stomach. He collapsed, watching the infiltrator sheathe the knife that had just gutted him as Stormlight reknit his bones. An Honorblade appeared at Fura's side as he died. One blade of darkness, one blade of light. Both lay at the ground, defeated. * * * Furamirionind was killed! They were a member of the Shin High Council, the Bearer of Nightblood, and Bearer of Ishar's Honorblade! Nightblood is available to be claimed by Furamirionind's killer! If it remains unclaimed, it will be redistributed at the end of the turn. Ishar's Honorblade is available to be claimed by Furamirionind's killer! If it remains unclaimed, it will be redistributed at the end of the turn. (Note that only one Honorblade (including Nightblood) can be claimed from one kill.) * * * A Highstorm has arrived! Every player who held an Honorblade or is a Radiant has recieved Stormlight! PMS ARE CLOSED, and will remain closed until they are reopened. Please stop PMing or creating new PMs. The Day Turn will end at 5:00 PM PST on December 24th, in about 47 hours. Get your actions in! Honorblade List: Player List:
  16. That's time! Also, there's a Highstorm tonight. Shoulda put that in the original writeup, but everyone holding a Blade should get Stormlight tonight.
  17. ... with that in mind? How do propositions of Blackout games work? Like what if members of the Approval Council want to play the game?
  18. *Stares nervously in using lynched in current game* I like “exe” or “execute”, although I feel like it could be confusing with games like Town of Salem, where the Exe(cutioner) is a role that needs to get a specific person executed to win. “Kill” and “murder” I agree would get too confusing with kill abilities. I feel like I’d rather avoid using “hanged” or specific-killing-methods as general terms, as it limits the variety that the writeups can have.
  19. They sat at the table again. Izzy's death was a bit of a shock to them all, but it did mean one thing - that chanceslip was gone. Sure, they could find another at any point, but the symbolism was something else. They could be unanimous now. Rarashe-son-Lurdroler had stepped out of the position the mind-scarred leader had occupied, so they decided to try the last resort. Democracy. One by one arguments were made. At first, it looked like it could go any of three ways: against Vapor, the newcomer after a council member had gone ill; Somebody, who told everyone they couldn't pronounce their real name as they were from... Cell?; and Eternum, who claimed interference by the stones as an explanation for losing his Honorblade. The arguments for Somebody and Eternum faded, leaving only Vapor. "She could be anybody," said Whysper. "We've seen the traitor use a Lightweaving before. They could do it again." "The one they replaced... were they ill or poisoned? The infiltrators knew they were losing members," added Fura. Rarashe noted that that wasn't how the game worked, but the group merely shushed him for breaking the fourth wall. Lotus and Hadrian-son-Penrod changed their votes with finality, leaving Somebody to heave a sigh of relief. Vapor, sighed, but more with... exhaustion? To her credit, she barely flinched before the Shardblade. "And thunk goes the Honorblade..." Rarashe whispered, soon gratified by a thunk in the woodworks. He grabbed the hilt and pulled it out. It appeared that Vapor had been genuine. Or at least infiltrating for the right reasons. * * * Vapor was lynched! They were a member of the Shin High Council and the Bearer of Ishar's Honorblade! Ishar's Honorblade has been redistributed! Shalash's Honorblade has been claimed or redistributed! * * * Vote Count: Vapor (4): Mist, Whysper, Furamirionind, Lotus, Araris Valerian Mist (1): He who goes DORIYAH!! Eternum (1): Vapor PMS ARE CLOSED, and will remain closed until they are reopened. Please stop PMing or creating new PMs. The Night Turn will end at 5:00 PM PST on December 22nd, in about 23 hours. 20. And that's time! I definitely got on my computer 2 minutes ago so rollover may be a bit delayed... or, you know, as delayed as it normally is.
