  1. Do the Ashynites know that refugees survived the Great Disaster and their descendants (and 9 of the actual refugees) still live on Roshar? I doubt that, too, which will make for an interesting Book 9.
  2. You have to wonder: do the Heralds from Ashyn know that there are still humans living in its atmosphere?
  3. The Coppermind disagrees: https://coppermind.net/wiki/The_Silence_Divine#Setting.
  4. Brandon posted a sample chapter of The Silence Divine that takes place in a floating city over Ashyn. https://wob.coppermind.net/events/201-words-of-radiance-los-angeles-signing/#e12303 Not canon now, but I personally think it will be.
  5. No, you're right. A different WoB:
  6. The Cosmere presumably has way more than 100 inhabited planets. It contains multiple galaxies, each with over 100 billion stars (I'm guessing, of course) in it.
  7. I got lots of other questions.
  8. You could have humans come from other worlds to make the planet "mostly human", of course. There are still humans over (not on) Ashyn, for one thing.
  9. I plan to ask Brandon about that chip next chance I get. (We're both planning to be at Worldcon this year.) My crackpot theory: Hoid grabbed it somehow, and he's a Mistborn. He planned to burn it and gain an even stronger link to Honor.
  10. @Chaos, may I just say: nice signature joke.
  11. Create a medallion or fabrial that Connects the allomancer to the ship, the way WIND AND TRUTH SPOILER That would let the allomancer affect the mass of the entire vessel.
  12. It's more complicated than that, even, because other shreds of Adonalsium's power exist outside the Shards, like The Wind.
  13. May I assume a spoiler topic for IotE will be created before its official release on 1 July?
  14. I can think of one way Wayne could perhaps survive. If he was Mistborn ... he's able to burn gold. He could charge up a goldmind and burn it, thus getting Miles Hundredlives-style superhealing.
  15. The Shards did not exist before the Shattering. Brandon has said that Adonalsium could have been split into different pieces--this specific outcome was caused by the particulars of the way he was killed. One assumes he had his own single Rhythm.
  16. What makes you think Spook ever had feruchemy?
  17. Seriously, check out books on modern black hole theory. All information about the black hole is encoded into the event horizon. Space doesn't "move" faster than light. It can be described as expanding faster than light, but that isn't the same thing. You don't lose causality from it, for one thing.
  18. I never did figure it out, TBH. I think it's because I was reading as fast as I could, and didn't stop to think about stuff.
  19. It's impossible to know without reading Brandon's mind, but I would think the very strong Connection between them gave him more influence over her than he would have over another Cognitive Shadow.
  20. Cusicesh isn't a Roshari spren, though. It's a Splinter, but not of Honor, Odium, or Cultivation.
  21. And that's why nothing falls past the event horizon, as seen from outside the black hole. Really. If you look super closely, you can still see every matter particle that has been captured by the hole still present at the event horizon. In relativity, nothing goes faster than C, period.
  22. Did you watch/listen to the most recent Shardcast? Brandon seems to say that Valor is still the dragon who SPOILER
  23. My interpretation is the same as yours. There's a WoB somewhere where Brandon basically says that Vasher was just whispering his commands.
  24. I posted a while back that "Nohadon" was Frost. @Ashkaloda, have you read Dragonsteel Prime? I ask because
