  1. I agree. I don't think the Dor is Unity, mind you. It just feels wrong to me.
  2. Can you name a system in which momentum is not conserved? That doesn't describe Newtonian, quantum, or relativistic universes, so .... Barring giant quantum fluctuations, energy is also always conserved. Note that I did not write "kinetic energy" above.
  3. The remains of Devotion and Dominion were stuffed into the Cognitive specifically to prevent them from becoming conscious, I thought. Yes, that sounds backwards.
  4. Both momentum and energy are conserved in real physics. Feruchemy cheats by grabbing energy from another dimension.
  5. He has a bond with Maya, but neither of them is interested in the Radiant oaths. Maya even mocks the First Oath in WaT.
  6. Why doesn't Lumar have a perpendicularity? It's literally coated with Aether spores. Maybe the perp is on one of the spore-launching moons? (Are they inspired by the FF8 monster-spewing moon? We know Brandon is a Final Fantasy fan.)
  7. Yes. Brandon has said that Seons could be Blades under the right circumstances: https://wob.coppermind.net/events/221/#e6197
  8. But Seons and Skaze bond on Sel, and the spirits of Komashi bind the yoki-hijo. Splinters of various Shards bond everywhere we see them, in fact. (Scadrial and Taldain and Nalthis and Yolen have no known Splinters.)
  9. Don't forget, there's a separate Darkside magic system on Taldain, the Starmarks. As far as I can tell, we know essentially nothing at all about it.
  10. It's a Stormlight Archive spoiler. This is the SA Forum, which is a spoilers-allowed zone (for the Stormlight Archive).
  11. Nightblood as owned by Honor: I made up an ending in which Szeth becomes Honor. It's just in my head. Spoilery stuff about The Evil:
  12. No, he isn't a Radiant because he absolutely refuses to even consider a Radiant bond.
  13. Well, I mean, non-sapient voidspren bind Singers to make the Regals. The Unmade can seemingly bond Singers by entering their gemhearts, and at least one can bond a human by having him swallow a gemstone. Ulim can bond Singers by dwelling in their gemhearts, too. In Tress of the Emerald Sea we find It seems to be a pretty general but not universal thing about Splinters.
  14. Excuse me? Shardblades are spren trapped in (or choosing to be in) the form of a sword. The spren of Roshar are made of Honor's power, Cultivation's power, or a mixture of the two. So yes, some of them (e. g. Honorspren blades) are by definition splinters of Honor's power. That's what a spren is, a fragment of a god's power. Hey! Why don't any Voidspren ever become Blades?
  15. Jasnah has never been (or pretended to be) emotionless, except perhaps with Shallan, briefly and without success.
  16. There are several Artes Arcani. Which book's AA do you mean? Hey, Peter, the books we read are "translations" from Cosmere languages. What language is being translated as Latin?
  17. I keep waiting for Sazed to dump the excess Ruin into Kelsier, thus balancing Harmony and giving Kelsier his long desire to be a god.
  18. Feruchemical atium stores youth. That's how the Lord Ruler and Marsh live so long. They compound atium.
  19. The word "awakened" here confused me, because Awakening is the whole magic system of animating things with Breath, like Vasher making his straw doll at the very beginning of Warbreaker. If making Biochromatic Entities is related to regular Awakening, then what the Awakener visualizes while Commanding the weapon would be the most important determiner.
  20. What if Nightblood thinks they're Evil and destroys them? What if taking Nightblood away from the new Vessel of Honor would be really hard? In any case, there are ... how to say ... there are spoilery things I don't want to spoil by being clear about them, that shed light on the Evil.
  21. Proposed: Sja-Anat is the Unmade remains of The Night, the Adonalsium spren created to guard Roshar along with The Wind.
  22. You've implied the interesting question: what is a pewter savant like?
  23. Aren't you just describing hemalurgy?
  24. I don't disagree with any of that. I just say that this means he'll never complete the Grand Apparatus, I mean his grand design for the Cosmere.
