Vale shoots her a thumbs up, then bursts out into the open, firing his gun at the beast's face. The bullet chips off a piece of crystal and it turns toward him and roars.

Vale goes the other way to try and flank the bear

Jay follows them, keeping a hand close to his weapon

Jay looks around and then whispers "Are you the messenger I was told to meet?"

Vale catches her eye. "Listen, we'll be fine. It's big, but it's slow and stupid. You've got the best weapon out of any of us, you just have to get it somewhere lethal. I'm backing you up if you're willing to get out there" The monster follows Nya's trajectory and tries to swipe at her, but she's out of reach.

Vale ducks behind a tree. The monster looks like a 15 foot tall bear, black and covered in crystal outgrowths. It's mouth opens wider than it should be physically possible and as it roars again, the earth trembles.

"Shardblade should help a lot, but let's focus on not getting caught" A roar pierces the forest right behind them. "Spoke too soon. Scatter!"

The roaring draws closer and the monster crashes through trees. While no one can quite see it yet, we can see trees falling behind us. "I think it might have caught our scent"

"This place has a bit of a monster problem. It could be anything but it won't be nice"

A roar echoes through the jungle, followed by a chorus of shouts and yells. Vale looks back over his shoulder as a plume of smoke rises in the distance behind the party. "We might want to pick it up a notch!"

"Melody says that this is my fault anyway. But I was asking you"

"I wouldn't expect you to have heard of here. We're about 3 and a half quantum leaps away from the Cosmere. I managed to get a shortcut here from Syderon. This way should do" Vale follows Vapor away from the footprints.

Selia looks over at Brightness. "Oh rusts, you're going to make me keep it, aren't you?" ... "No, this was not my idea!"

"Don't people keep them as pets?" Selia tries to pet the axehound.

@xinoehp512 You come out into a new world, bright with life. The jungle around you has some colors you're not used to, but it still seems normal enough. Vale hops through. "All right, now we're in a world called Siren. This might be a bit more dangerous. Let's get moving." He points out some footprints of something very large with some mean looking claws.

"Well, if you're into shells and mandibles, I guess. What should we do with him?"

Hey everyone, Null here with a new roleplay. This comes from a series I wrote with my friend. The series will probably never be published in its current form, but I couldn't let all our worldbuilding go to waste! I've attached a doc that's a summary of all the worldbuilding we did, or I have a TL;DR of the summary in the spoiler below. Because this world is big, complex, and has a bunch of secrets, I'm going to play a bit more like a DM than some of the other RPs on this site. Vale leads his party into a deserted alley and opens a new portal. "Through here, quickly"

Maximum Ride. I hung on for five books and then realized it was never going anywhere. He'll introduce plot threads or arcs and they never go anywhere, and then something will come out of nowhere and be the focus of an entire book. In addition, he changes details and retcons things between different books, like Max's hair color or her relationship with Fang. It just was really not consistent and seemed more like a badly written tv show desperately reaching for plot points than a good book series. There was The Power of Five series by Anthony Horowitz. Maybe it actually is good, but by the last book I was thoroughly confused and very depressed. I only vaguely remember all of it, but the magic system was fairly poor, none of the characters were especially interesting, and the plot point that ended up being the climax was some sort of time loop that wasn't very well explained.

"Sorry little, er, big guy. I thought you were going to eat me." Selia squats down and holds out her hand to the axehound

"I don't know" Selia steps forward slowly, making sure to avoid any glass shards from the broken bottle

Selia pulls something out of her pocket and throws it at the sound and glow

"Ok, I'll admit that doesn't sound good" Selia lifts up the sphere to try and illuminate more of the room

"Psshh. I'll be fine. Follow me" Selia walks into the room
