  1. I'll be honest, I've been out of it today and haven't been able to pay attention. I'll put mine on Lord Spirit cause he doesn't have any at the moment. Hopefully I'll be back on it tomorrow, sorry
  2. Dang, I got here just after the roll over. yeah this is crazy The question is did the elim team misplay? Or do we need to start looking harder at BigBad? I don't remember them doing much in the last two cycles
  3. I hear you saying this for both Striker and Aster, which is why I'm not hitting them too hard. I'll still put a vote there because I don't have many better ideas at the moment, but I'm far from tunneling there. Just need more leads. I see the logic behind allowing for ties, but just for consistency/devil's advocate sakes, I'll continue to argue against it. Let's get some factioning up in here, makes things easier. Got it! Thank you. Yeah, I originally voted Kelsier Apologist because I lost track of K names, then thought it was Kasimir I meant, then realized you were just furthering Striker's original argument. So I hope that wasn't too confusing. Just for clarity's sake: Striker I get the feeling that Kas and TJ are V, either that or one or probably both is playing total 5d chess with us, which isn't impossible. Irl I would put them as high village vibes but here where you actually can pm and plan, that reduces the likelihood a bit. Just my take. Both play a lot like my friend who always argues for optimal plays no matter which side he's on
  4. In response to all the questions about me, I haven't done SE before but I've played a lot of these social deduction games irl. I'm definitely seeing that it's a pretty different skill set but whatever, it works. Reading through, I do think that we are defaulting to not considering people who are less active atm, which is probably a good idea, but still worth considering. Irl targeting quiet people is good but here, could be due to any number of factors, as could people being significantly more active. I don't think we should tie. Advocating for ties seems really sus to me. Even if we get more info that way, we're still shortening the time that the elims need. We can also get info out of what they do at night without killing two or three people. I'm aware I kind of just said a lot of words without actually talking a stance on much so uh, Striker for the moment
  5. Well yes but I didn't vote for myself last time and I didn't see anyone else doing it. Oh well, Jo will figure it out in the end. Yes, that does make it a little bit confusing to plan out who to vote for, but thanks for pointing it out. I still think that making sure we don't have a tie in second place should be a high priority, so I'll save my vote on myself until tomorrow morning (for me)
  6. Wait when did I get votes? Did I miss something? I would cautiously venture a Striker proposal, not seriously, just saying that imo, people that take this much of a leadership role are often elims. Granted, my meta could be different, and y'all might have a better idea. But putting it out for discussion. As far as I'm aware, I don't see any reason to dogpile on TOW except for the vote erasure, which who knows what that means. With so many votes on TJ I'm thinking about putting a vote on someone else for later, or in case the Elims do something wack again. If we have this many people tied for Two votes at the end of the cycle, that would be bad
  7. I'd be willing to assume that E!TJ, or that the Elims are trying to throw us off. Could go either way. It definitely was a move though
  8. Aaaaand we have a tie again. Dang it. Maybe we'll get lucky and get two elims. i thought about changing my vote to TJ but I was too slow
  9. Well I'm glad I didn't end up making a tie.
  10. I'm sure they meant longitude
  11. Aw... thanks? Unless you're secretly an Elim trying to ingratiate yourself with the noobs That's also a good point, that we can see who will be saved by the Elims. Regardless, after checking the spreadsheet, I'll keep my vote for Unknown. Sorry, Spren but I can't do anything for you
  12. Ah, that's not good. So we are forced to kill at least one person a round, then. Maybe I'll change my vote then so we don't have a tie.
  13. I was big into roleplay like, 3-4 years ago. Haven't changed my name or profile picture since. If you were part of like, The Fellowship of the Thing era we definitely saw each other
  14. Ciris walked out of the laboratory where they had been working (definitely not sleeping.) The ardent noticed that they seemed to be late for some kind of meeting, what was going on again? They rifled through their memory, thinking... Oh yeah, there was a mystery! The group seemed to be discussing philosophy rather than the mystery though, and even though Ciris was an ardent, they weren't that kind of ardent and they were lost pretty quickly. They raised their hand and said quietly, "I know I'm late, but I think that we should avoid eliminating someone if we can, but it seems TJ already has a lot of votes and I can't change that. I'll vote for The Unknown Order, since he seems to be experienced in this kind of espionage, and to maybe force a tie, since I think that's good for the defenders" (OOC: I usually play pacifist for the first round because I feel it allows for the villagers to get their feet under them and feel out the factions. I mostly understand the custom rules here but I think we'll all see soon how that will impact the game)
  15. Lol, it usually ends up being Null, but I appreciate it! And yeah, seems most of us seem to be newbies.
  16. *Bows to the Sibling as I enter* I would like to play if there's still space, I've never done a SE before so this will be fun!
  17. @Dragonheir @IcedOutPenguin @SpiritOfWrath @Lord Spirit @Shard of Sharks @Spark of Hope @RoyalBeeMage @KaladinsSenseOfHumorSpren If I missed any responses let me know. I think almost everyone should have at least one action left. Again, unless I tell you otherwise, any one post you make and i respond to is one action
  18. @SprenOfKaladinSenseOfHumor @Lord Spirit @SpiritOfWrath @ParaTulip Sorry everyone for the delays! Finals is kicking my butt, but this is fun!
  19. @Spark of Hope @IcedOutPenguin @Dragonheir @RoyalBeeMage @Carcharias
  20. @SprenOfKaladinSenseOfHumor and the Europan Settlers @SpiritOfWrath and the PPUNG @IcedOutPenguin and the Sapphire Kingdom @Spark of Hope and the Siren Council @Dragonheir and the IISC
  21. Hello all and welcome to Planetfall: The Civ RP! I'll copy and paste over the basics from the sign up page This is a Civ RP, where rather than playing as a character, you will be piloting a burgeoning nation. What Nation? Well that's the fun part. For your character I would like you to fill out a nation that comes to a new planet! Perhaps your old planet underwent a cataclysmic disaster so you escaped on a futuristic colony ship? Perhaps you discovered a magical portal and decided to send settlers through? Perhaps your god commanded you to find a new, purer land and gave you passage through their domain? Any options are open, any level of technology or magic (as long as you're fine chatting with me about balance). Rules! (Spoilered for length) Our players are @Dragonheir playing as a colony of the IISC (The Interstellar Intelligent Species Council), an interstellar diplomatic empire @IcedOutPenguin playing as the Sapphire Kingdom, a Renaissance era kingdom governed by Sapphire the dragon @SpiritOfWrath playing as the PPUNG (Pact for the Peace of the United Nations of Gorin), a cut off colony of a falling empire @Lord Spirit playing as Sylvalia, a small naturalistic society of plant people @BridgeBoi playing as Uritea, a unified kingdom with magic of teleportation @Carcharias playing as the Dosuli, a scientific expedition gone wrong from a high tech and magically advanced society @ParaTulip playing as the Assemblages of Worms, a space-born religion of worm colonies @SprenOfKaladinSenseOfHumor playing as the Europans, a lost colony from Earth, adept in hybridising animals @Spark of Hope playing as the Siren Council, a colony of fishermen and marine biologists @RoyalBeeMage playing as the Merchant Federation, a democratic confederacy of traders and merchants Your nations are marked below on the map. If you have any questions, DM me. I will try to put events specifically for your nation in the color matching your color on the map below, but we'll see how that goes Now then! As you and your citizens step through the portal or out of the wreckage of the space ship, you are met with a wave of hot, humid air and yellow sunlight beaming down. The atmosphere seems breathable and while gravity might be a little lighter than you are used to (except for the Europans), it's nothing you can't adapt to. Looking up, you see the sunlight beaming down, and also four rings surrounding the planet. Through the clouds you can see that they are glowing in a variety of colors, but the one that seems furthest away from the planet is shifting rapidly through a sequence of colors that doesn't seem to be in any particular order. As the last of your colonists file onto the planet, it slows and stops. The Sapphire Kingdom and Sylvalia: You appear through your portals into thick groves of trees, with a bed of leaves beneath you The IISC and the Dosuli Expedition: You manage to get all your colonists extricated from your broken ship, and look around at the high mountains around you, covered in many different colors of stone The PPUNG, the Assemblages of Worms, the Europans, the Siren Council, and the Merchant Federation: You all come out in front of a vibrant blue ocean, with sand under your feet and wind in your hair... or whatever equivalent you have BEGINNING OF YEAR ONE: You each have 4 actions. Assume all of your nations arrived at or near the same time
  22. You got it We'll put you on pitch hitters if that's ok. There's already a lot of people playing that I'll need to keep track of. If a couple people drop out you can replace one
  23. Thanks for counting. Whether or not they join I think I'll cut it off here. It's going to be a lot to manage either way, but it should be fun! No offense to y'all but I bet a couple people will drift off and stop replying, which will make things easier, and then if people want to replace those slots, then we can talk about it then. But for now, I think this is the cast
  24. It's definitely the upper limit that I would normally want to do, but Spark was the first person to respond to the thread so I want to give them a chance if they want it
