"A monster? Well, we better see what it is." Selia nabs a sphere from a wall lantern.
-
"Oh, Brightness, I'm sorry! Did you get burned? What's supposed to be in there? What was that scream?"

Selia whirls around and instinctively strikes out at Sebarial.

Selia peers inside the room. Why was it so dark? She couldn't see anything in there.

She's pretty sure this is the right door. At the very least it's still slightly ajar. "Hello?" ... "Well I don't know, maybe the Brightness came down here." ... "I think we should at least see." ... "Oh, you'll be fine." Selia edges open the door.

Selia is walking downstairs trying to follow Taln's path. She reaches into her pocket carefully. "Yes, I know this could be a bad idea. But don't you want to know?" ... "See, I told you. What's the worst that could happen?"

"Um, well... it's about fabrials"
-
Selia doesn't notice Sebarial until she's really close. She jumps and quickly shuts her book and flips over her note pad. "Oh, Brightness Sebarial! I didn't see you there!"

If one went to the library, they would see Selia sitting at a table with a stack of books almost as tall as she is, poring over one with her food forgotten beside her. She has a writing pad and is taking notes in a scribbled, completely illegible script

As Taln dives through, the portal starts to crackle and implode, becoming unstable. Vale dives through just before it closes shut with a small shockwave. On the other side, they come out onto an open, dark, plain. There's a city in the distance all lit up with lights and the sun is darkened as if there's a solar eclipse
