  1. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent The sitting room was on the second floor but luckily many lords like their rooms to overlook their gardens. There is a tree below you that you mange to use to partially slow your fall. You hit the ground roughly but unhurt. You hear people break into the room above but are concealed under the tree. Guards patrol the wall that circles the garden looking outward into the night.

@xinoehp512 @Coda @GoWibble @Karger @ChickenLiberty Corvus walks back into the room a while later face grave. "Avanti has not returned and it is well past sunset. We'll have to presume he is captured and move out of this safehouse." he hands Karger a list. "This is the manor houses in opposition to ar target. As much opposition as there is anyway. i have a man outside to lead you to a new safe location where you can pass the night and launch your mission in the morning. I need to stay here to destroy evidence and get people to new places. I'll see you after the mission."  With the look of a man with to many things to do Corvus hurries out of the room.

  2. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent Samantha leaned back in utter shock as she heard not her lord's voice but the rough voice of a more common person. "But..my lord..what is going on?" She seemed to deliberate for a second and then, "You look like him but you sound different and I thought you were behaving oddly. Guards, Guards!" she screams. Instantly feet begin to rush down the hallway as Samantha turns back to you. "What did you do the real Franklin?"

  3. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent Samantha gives a light laugh and resumes her seat next to you. "Thank you dear your looking handsome as well. I wondered if you could meet with my father and formally arrange the details of our marriage? Horrid accident that it was delayed like that due to unrest in the streets. I simply can't wait to formally move in and be allowed to enjoy your company through the night hours."

  4. @xinoehp512 @Coda @GoWibble @Karger @ChickenLiberty "Excellent! Now that you've all agreed its up to you to determine your plan of attack. I believe Zaire mentioned forging documents?"

@Ookla the Maybe-Existent Samantha pours you some tea and passes the cup. As she leans forward you smell jer heavy perfume. "I suppose it was alright though fraught with loneliness in your absence. drink some tea dear your voice is sounding strange. Would you like me to send for the physician? A cold perhaps?"

  5. @Karger Of course the pay will come on time. Which is after you complete the mission. Thank you for your willingness the help this city now matter how much out of money and greed it is.

  6. @Feruchemical Skybreaker "I knew you would think so! Now lets have a few more drinks tonight. To out past friendship and future city changing!"

    Quote

If you say nothing else he drinks with you into the night sharing past stories. In the late wee hours of morning he bids farewell and leaves walking straight despite the amount you two drank. Stormlight sure is nice!

  7. @Feruchemical Skybreaker "Yes I swear by my position as a Skybreaker. Now there is a little rebellion that I became part of. When I told them that I would try to recruit you they thought I was crazy and they couldn't trust you even if you voted to help. So i am sorry but we'll need to stay separate even as we work toward the same goal. So head back to your place and tell the government you are returning to the skybreakers home. Unless..." Jarson suddenly grew excited. "What if you still worked for them but as a double agent? A spy on the inside?"

  8.  @xinoehp512 "No we want the undercity to know what we can do and we shall tell them. We want the nobles to not know it was us because we are still to weak to survive a direct investigation. The undercity will band with us while the nobles are looking at each other." Corvus elaborates.

@Feruchemical Skybreaker "Agreeing to disagree isn't enough! I was trying to tell you gently but I need your help. I used to work as a bodyguard for the Governor and I heard he is planning something to "put these peasants into hand and get this city for the rich". Considering everything the government already this can't be good. I quit and decided to do something. The law is not good and the people who make it even worse. So whatever they plan now I plan to do something.about it first. But i need your help. Two skybreakers can persuade the rest of them. I believe Nale has revealed to me a special mission. Now will you help?"

"What are we going up against? Will any of them be Investiture users?"

"I don't know for sure but it is very possible there will be along with twenty or so regular guards. The manor is not one of the crazy fortress ones. We're starting out easier forst.I am completely confident that your talents will be more than the possible investiture users.

  10. @GoWibble @Coda @ChickenLiberty @xinoehp512 @Karger  Corvus nods gleefully. "Yes that should come in handy in the future. Well done Pikes. Now I have a job for the five of you including Liberty and Avanti if he returns in time.

Your job is to absolutely ramsack this lord's manor who has been speaking against the workers of this city. Burn it, kill him, the works. What's more you need to deflect any suspicion from us. I don't know how you would do that possible blame another lord or undercity crew, but make sure it gets done. I want the noble gone, if not dead then somewhere no one can hear him and his property destroyed. This will show to the peasants and workers that the rebellion is serious and show the city what we can do."

Corvus's voice rises as he gives the short speech speaking passionately and viciously against the aristocracy of the city. He gives the location of the manor house on the opposite side of the city from were Avanti is. You are to strike tomorrow stopping at the inn to collect Liberty who will be there from his safe house. How to accomplish this is up to you.

@Ookla the Maybe-Existent Ok I'll go ahead and tell you what's behind the door so I don't forget then you can respond when your back on.

Inside the door is a lavish but comfortable sitting room. Their is a fire in the hearth against the west wall (the one to the left) and many couches and chairs are scattered about the room. Windows face the rapidly darkening grounds across the room. Sitting in one of the couches by the fire is a young lady and reclining dressed in a silky full dress. A small table in front holds a teapot and tw tea cups along with small biscuits. The lady ( your intelligence says her name is Samantha Strallear) turns and her face lights up when she sees you standing there.

"Dear you have returned." her voice was light and articulate. "You must be exhausted. Sit and have some tea. I don't really understand why you had to go make the trade deal with the merchants down in that horrible undercity. Couldn't they have come here?"

  12. Quote

@GoWibble well if you kill Corvus I can promise it won't be boring as there are a lot of people in the rebellion who would not be happy with you.

@Feruchemical Skybreaker "Well your not going to bring stability how you are. Each time you kill or arrest just makes it easier for the nobles to bring ruin. Now if you do what I do we can overthrow the nobles and bring stability by using the law as it should.Your right this Sector needs stability then we can fix the law to keep the stability."

@Ookla the Maybe-Existent The footman who doubles as a servant nods and leads the way respectfully to the door. There he leads you into an intricately decorated house up stairs and down hallways. at last you reach a door that is very fancy. The servant bows and retreats leaving you to enter at your pleasure.

  13. @xinoehp512 Corvus raps up what he was saying then turns to you. "Ah Pikes your back. Perfect timing as I want to introduce you to these three people. All are Investiture users of some skill who have decided to help the rebellion. One more should be coming tomorrow. Gentlemen this is Pikes one of our best men. Was your mission a success? Did you get the noble without alarm?"

    Quote

The three people are @Karger @GoWibble and @Coda as you probably guessed.

@Feruchemical Skybreaker "If the nobles can not follow the law so easily then there is something wrong with the law. They're so corrupt that they ignore the law and so we can't, shouldn't, defend it. we should throw down this old city and make a new one with a law that actually works and is right enough to make people obey."

@GoWibble That's fair I'm sorry things have been so slow. A lot more people signed up than I thought would so it's taking time to get everyone on the same page.

@Feruchemical Skybreaker Jarson smiles and leans forward. "All right. The law is supposed to keep chaos down and make life better and more orderly for everyone. this law is not doing that. People are starving in the streets and running out of housing room. The nobles spend all of their time vying for positions in the Departments and the Departments spend time putting money in their pockets instead of fixing the city. That breaks the law itself. the city is ignoring the law and the law won't fully fix it. You spend all of your time chasing down protesters and robbers. How is that what your ideals come to? Now if you join me we can fix the law and make a true better one that will actually help this city." he lists it off like a speech often rehearsed and makes hand gestures as he talks excitedly.

  15. @Feruchemical Skybreaker "Oh a bit if this and a bit of that," Jason leans back comfortably in the warm roomy tavern he lead you to. His cup dangles from one hand and he shows none of the normally rigous posture he used to. "Mostly I've been studying the law and deciding how I feel about it. There's some wrong stuff in there but..." he trails off and shrugs acting as if doesn't matter but his eyes tell differently. He was trying to bait you into arguing the law.

@xinoehp512 You know Corvus was away on a recruitment meeting so he said to check if he is back and if not to report to Charles who is his number two. one of them will be overseeing the hideout.

If you enter and ask after Corvus he has returned and someone directs you to the upstairs were a lightweaving conceals the trapdoor. Pull on a hidden cord and the door opens dropping a rope ladder. If you choose to go up you'll find Corvus and three other people.

  17. @xinoehp512 The noble stumbles as he turns around and tries to run back the way you came. The guards hearing your cry run up and seeing the noble act in a very direct way. They both leap and tackle him to the ground cutting off his crie as the wind is knocked out of him. They pull the noble to his feet and back toward the warehouse and through the door. Neither question who had cried as they were in the rebellion and used to weird things happening to bring success. One propels the noble in front of him through the door and the other returns to guard outside pretending to be a worker on break. The mission was a success and food would be waiting inside.

  18. @Ookla the Maybe-Existent The guard captain nods quickly and says that he finds it most understandable launching into more nervous talk as if to cover for your silence. He stops after a few minutes and lets you ride in silence. Before long thanks to the quick pace the carriage is rolling through the gates of the manor house and across the meticulously kept grounds. The sun had just sank below the horizon and yellow lamplight was streaming through the windows. The carriage rolls to a stop in front of the steps leading to the door and a footman hurries over to open your door. The captain hops out first and the footman assists you out of the carriage. "Welcome home my lord," his voice was the flat carefully respectful voice of a servant. "A fire is lade in your study and your lady is waiting for you to join her for evening tea," The coach men leads the carrige away and the servant steps back respectfully waiting for a response.

Your mission parameters do say to disappear once the sun had set before anyone notices. You can go back to the undercity and no one will know were the lord went. If you need his name it's Lord Franklin Strallear.

@xinoehp512 you have approached the location of the safe house by sticking to the back alleys and your reputation leading people to avoid you even if they see the nobel. You are in a side street that's almost an alley and he safe house is here in the disguise of a warehouse production line. The noble is beginning to look suspicious as you are still in the undercity but he hasn't demanded an explanation yet.

@GoWibble Yes there are pancakes. Not in nine varieties but they come in two different types. Sweet with sugar and some thick spicy kind.

I don't really know why I bothered saying that.

Liberty starts to amble along after Corvus, but, after processing what he had said, remembers that he had left his bow and arrows behind.

He says, "So... the tomorrow," and heads off. He goes down the wrong street at first, but before turning around, he taps his zincmind to make sure that he's not being followed. The rebellion seemed to have good intentions, but to trust them fully would be foolish. For all he knew, they might decide that the money he had back at his own hideout would be "needed" to pursue those "good intentions." Looking around, he saw...

You see nobody following you that you can tell though you do notice a stir in the crowd over by Corvus. People turn to stare and whisper and a few raise a fist in the typical undercity salute of respect. It seemed that Corvus was growing popular with the workers and peasants of the city. but no ones attention on you. It seems like the rebellion really did have a good intentions. Or had good crowd trailers.

Pikes stifles a sigh. Nobles. Honestly, it's a wonder the government gets anything done at all.

"This way," he says, hastening down an alley, turning a corner and shooting a look back to make sure the noble was still following.

The noble follows after you still muttering under his breath but stepping more quickly to keep up. His shoes were quickly becoming covered in dirt and he winced as the stones pushed through the delicate velvet.

  21. @xinoehp512 "A...a.. decoy?" the noble's brow furrows and his mouth gaps a little as he tries to grasp the complex plan. "Well...I suppose we better hurry then....if you really are.." the noble shakes his head and stomps down the alley his confusion giving away to anger at people making plans without him. "Well come along, we must get back to the manor somehow. Honestly all this dirt will ruin my suit, couldn't workers have the self respect to keep this place decent? I must submit a commision to the Department of Sanitation. That they would allow these conditions..." he continues on in that grumble stepping high and gingerly as if the place was covered in rats.

@Ookla the Maybe-Existent The captain of the guards leans forward as the carriage rolls way. "Are you hurt my lord? Absolutely ridiculous for this carriage to break like that. And we never even found who had screamed. Most likely just a peasant dropped their laundry." he laughs nervously and glances at you then away. It seemed the guards were uneasy when left alone in the nobles presence. He licked his lips and opened his mouth then closed it glancing at the window even though the shades were drawn.

@GoWibble @Karger @ChickenLiberty @Coda Corvus nods and stands up dusting his trousers. "Then if all four of you will follow me I can take you to the safe house for the night. Or if you need to collect materials from your own places then we will meet back here tomorrow to go the hideout. Now I must leave quickly to meet with some more people so decide quick." Corvus turns and strides for the door leaving you to follow or go your separate ways.
